Not very busy for a Saturday night- weird atmosphere. Appetizers were alright, a bit expensive for the amount of food (calamari & spring rolls). The shrimp vermicelli bowl was terrible- sent back immediately. The shrimps were way over cooked and the taste of the bowl was terrible. Server was great and immediately offered me an alternative. Ended up having the 33 burger with sweet potato fries- it was excellent. My husband had a steak and it was good as well. Overall experience was still ok - was unfortunate my husband was done his meal for over 10mins by the time I got to eat. Did not have time to try a dessert. Server did a good job trying to save the experience. Would not return as overall it was not worth it.
Hair on the table. Had to ask Waiter to clean table. Not good.
Service was very slow. Waited almost as hour for our entree.
The food was very average. The grains in the power grains bowl (sashimi and grilled salmon) was undercooked and the salmon did not taste as fresh as it should for sashimi.
The restaurant was not very busy yet there was a problem with our order ( we weren't in a hurry). The one thing that saved the day was that the server was outstanding and attentive and kept the communication upbeat and active. The sweet Potato fries were the best I have ever had and the curry soup was outstanding!
We enjoyed our dinner, both the food and service were very good.
We were a party of 4. My husband & I loved our meal selections, and the happy hour wine. However the couple with us were not as satisfied. One requested no cheese on her pizza and got it anyway, even after sending it back once. And her partner wanted cheese but her pizza was served without. My husband & I shared the carrot cake with sour cream gelato and it was awesome. So our meal was great, and it was a gift certificate from the other couple.
Second visit and enjoyed the dining experience again. Great food, service, and the cost is reasonable. Our waiter was a mind reader. Pretty impressive!
Great vegan options! Falafel bowl had far too many chickpeas...
The servers are well trained, the food is delivered fast and the coffee is very good. Visit this restaurant at least 2 times per month during the fall and winter.
Overall, good. A bit loud. Not conducive to a quiet conversation.
I used to love this place, but now it has gone downhill. Portion sizes are smaller and food quality is lacking. Service was mediocre at best. I probably will not return.
Very disappointed in the experience for our 40th Anniversary, which I specified in the reservation.
It was very loud, and my husband Mahi Mahi was dry and overcooked.
The room was very loud, and the appetizer Spring rolls were poorly presented, and overcooked.
The Desert of gelato was skimpy, and ordinary!
We had looked forward to this, and had our family from Altanta with us, so not happy!
My first time at this restaurant and it was an overall pleasant experience. The service was friendly and efficient, there was a good food selection to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences and the food quality was good. I will definitely be back.
My waiter was Mark and he was extremely attentive and polite, food was tasty and came quickly and lovely presentation!
Service was prompt and the vibe was excellent but the food...terrible...worst I have ever had...Would never go back...
Mac & cheese was tasty but only found 4-5 tiny pieces of chicken mixed in it. Very pricy for what it was.
Delicious food, fantastic service. Perfect place for a business lunch
Great location for a meal before a game. Good food and overall experience.
All was good, drinks, food, ambiance.
Being able to park close to downtown, at a reasonable rate was a bonus, as we live out of town.
The menu was not inspiring. With the area being so competitive I expect better. I’ve eaten at other O&B and my experience has become lacklustre.
Food was ok, but not great. Service harried and confused. Appetizers came out AFTER mains and we sent them back. Still appeared on bill and we needed to get it adjusted. Sloppy.
Great food, always seems busy which is nice. However, servers seem in a hurry to get you out if you linger too long
Very accommodating. We needed certain seating and all requests were honoured with no complaints or comments. Thanks we had a great time
Good company and food
The service was poor. We were not greeted for 15minutes. The server never came by, we had to flag random ones from across the room. The seemingly new server also grated Parmesan cheese onto my pasta on the rind side and not the cheese. This grated rind got everywhere- in my lap, on the table on my belongings etc. The food was overpriced for the quality. Would expect more from a thanksgiving prix fixe as well. The one redeeming quality was that the turkey was well cooked and the wine was tasty
Server took awhile and forgot my daughters refill. But that was the only negative about this place. We all had something different and every dish was delicious! The wine on special was perfect and dessert was spot on. Would totally recommend this to the foodies out there
Loved it. Great food, Thanksgiving dinner selections wonderful. Our destination for Thanksgiving dinner next year!
We went for the Thanksgiving special seating. Sorry, but we expected more from an O&B restaurant than the bland, uninspired, cafeteria fare we received. (For this we could have gone to Fran's or Niblets, paid 1/3 the price, and likely got something twice as tasty and better executed.) Is the Cafe now only for undiscerning tourists?
Our dinner was very well but please give us more time to eat between each plate. Between entree and main course 3 peoples came to take my plate but I didn’t finish...
Unfortunately despite the pleasant atmosphere and service I was served a beef burger instead of the plant based burger that I ordered. Even after a conversation with the server it wasn’t until after I finished my meal that the server and manager came over to inform me that I had eaten a beef burger. I have chosen not to eat beef for the last 40 years of my life so you can understand why my overall experience was quite unpleasant and upsetting.
From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed by everyone. Wait staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. It was Friday night so lots of after work diners as well as the theatre crowd. A nice casual restaurant with a good buzz in the air, which I like and good jazz playing in the background. It’s a lovely restaurant and I just love the classy individual powder rooms
We ate here several years ago and enjoyed it, however, this time we did not a have good experience. I couldn’t even eat half of my Rueben sandwich (it was not good!), and wasn’t asked if it was ok or if there was a problem. It was extremely loud, and they kept turning the music up louder. I don’t usually expect such loud music at 5:00 pm. The cocktails and appetizers were great, but that’s it. I don’t think we’ll be back.
Good place for a business lunch. Service was good, but a little slow at times.
Ok if u are in a hurry and can't leave the immediate Union Station area. Like an up-priced Montana's/ Olive Garden.
Our party of 4 was more than impressed with everything about this restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated very quickly. Our server, Ajay, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and funny. Another server, Daniel, added to the experience by helping us decide on food dishes and touching base with us every so often. He joked with us and made sure we always had what we needed. The food was delicious beyond our expectations. We highly recommend the Mac and Cheese!! Yes it was creamy, creamy!! and tasted even better with the REAL bacon I requested. We did not feel rushed and were able to have one of the best dining experiences. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend Oliver & Bonacini!!
This choice suited our needs perfectly. Your location between the subway and the St.Lawrence Centre was ideal. The Menu offered choices both large and small so we could suit our appetites. The waiter was absolutely perfect, attentive, friendly and aware of the timing because we were going to the theatre.
yes we will come again.
One of our favourite place to stop in when we come to torronto. We had the nicest waiter. The meal was wellnpaced with very tasty food. Menu seems to change often so it's always new things to try.
Our party of five dined here before attending a show at the Meridian hall which is conveniently located across the street but chose this restaurant based on its reputation for excellent food. One of our party members inquired about a pre-show special which apparently some restaurants in the area have but our server informed us that instead of a pre-show special, they have a smaller menu. He mentioned that if we came back on a different day, the menu would be much bigger. This seemed a bit disappointing to be honest. I didn't realize coming on a show night would mean that we wouldn't receive the full O&B experience and felt slightly jilted. Although, I will add that everyone was pleased with the entrées they ordered.
The food and service was very very good.Unfortunately the NOISE level was VERY VERY LOUD . You need to have noise absorbing materials on the walls and ceiling .
