Great wait staff, very good food and a beautiful patio to enjoy a nice dinner.
We enjoyed the evening! The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The prices were high but worth it, we will be going back.
Waitress Michelle was diligent and friendly. Service was very good.
Excellent food, fantastic service, and can’t beat the location! Amazing time all around.
I had made a reservation for this past Sunday. Called the restaurant to tell them we were going to be a little late (10min). There is a 15min grace period with your reservation, so we didn’t even need to call them about being late but thought it was the right thing to do. When we arrived there were 4 groups of people in front of us, none of which had a reservation, which was confirmed when the hostess went down the line to ask everyone. Rather than seating our group, the hostess was trying to figure out if there was space for the other groups. After waiting for an additional 10min, we approached the hostess and asked about being seated since we had a reservation. Her response was “You only just got here so you’re going to have to wait”; it was not in the nicest tone and we had been waiting for 10min already and thought it was appropriate to ask her what the hold up was. She then proceeded to find tables and seat 2 groups before us. After waiting approximately 18 minutes in line we were finally seated. What would have been more appropriate was that she seat her group that had reservations first and then see if there was space for those who didn’t have a reservation.
Overall O&B was a nice restaurant and good dining experience. I don't mind spending money for a nicer experience but we as a group of 4 felt very rushed and neglected. We were basically handed our plates of food and then our bill. At no time were we asked if we would like anything else (like a coffee refill). It felt as though we were being pushed out. Other than that the food was good.
Great patio listening to the band playing for the Village. Food and service were great!
Shrimp linguini was delish, lots of shrimp and loved the potstickers! Fish tacos tasty and cauliflower good, although could beat bit spicier.
Service was excellent with Ashley G ... personable, genuine and a pleasure to chat with!!
Everything we ordered from the Pizza to the grilled calamari dinner was good and would return to this restaurant.
Bathroom situation is gross and ambiance is lacking - food was good - no birthday celebration for coloured folks just white people I saw
Our server was actually incredible. So nice and kind and honestly happy to be there. I don’t remember her name but she is probably the best server I’ve had at any restaurant.
We went to dine for lunch (ensuring reservations were made ahead of time). Great food, excellent service!
We were able to get a Wednesday evening reservation, but not until 8:15 pm. But when we arrived an hour early they were able to find us a great table outside. The food was unbelievably good, the ambience was perfect, it was a beautiful summer evening and Ashley, our server, was extremely attentive and personable. She frankly made it a perfect evening for a date with my girlfriend. We had a wonderful time!
We arrived 10min prior to our reservation, waiting in line to be seated by the hostess. The hostess informed us that we had to wait until our reservation time as our table was not ready. She then proceeded to greet the next party behind us in line, and despite the fact they did not have reservations, they were seated immediately. We obviously questioned this but were then told the kitchen was overwhelmed and they could not deal with more patrons. This was not a satisfactory answer to us. When we were eventually seated 10min later, there was only four tables occupied. The place was EMPTY. Service was then lovely. However, the hostess working in the evening of the 17th should be retrained or reassigned to a new position. Her actions were questionable and not what we expect from O&B.
I have been to the O & B in Collingwood many times and it never dissapoints...until now. George, the bar manager was the only shining star of our whole experience. We tried to have drinks on the empty patio at 6pm, but were told no, it was being saved for guests with reservations (only 1 table was filled by the time we left 45 minutes later). Then we came down for dinner at 8:15pm, we had a reservation. Again we asked to sit on the patio, nope, "no space." 30 seconds later a table of two on the patio left, and we were still told we couldnt sit outside. Inside was empty except for screaming kids, the bench at our table was broken, the food was not up to standard and very salty (except for the jerk chicken which was great), and the staff complained openly about being run off their feet due to overall lack of staff (which we are well aware is a sad outcome of the pandemic across the industry). I have always recommended this restaurant and the hotel it is located in, but never again will we go ourselves or recommend.
We sat on the patio, the Live music across the pond was a nice extra
The food was subpar. I felt like I was at Kelsey's. It's so sad. I have fond memories of Oliver & Bonacini and the quality and that just was not present at all last night. It just felt like a cookie-cutter Kelsey style restaurant. The sauce tasted like it was came out of the jar on the pasta and the service was pleasant but you could tell that she was very green. We had to wait after asking for a Parmesan and it came out in a small little container. It just was not enough for the two of us so we ordered another bit of Parmesan and it took a while to get there as well. I mean if we're having pasta you shouldn't have to really ask let alone wait for Parmesan . it's just basic. We were booked in for outside seating and there was no rain yet we were seated inside since they closed the patio. The music was a cheesy 80s music... When I went to wash my hands at the end of the evening in the washroom there was no water that came out of the taps. And the concierge was very indifferent about that. There's no parking to speak of... you need to drive quite a ways to get some sort of parking. Unless you want to pay for valet. The shrimps were tiny. And you have to pay $4.95 for bread!
The place also looks a bit dated.
I hate doing a bad review oh, but they need this feedback so that they can improve it so that they can rock it out for the rest of the summer!
Fantastic night and amazing food. Would definitely be back.
My only complaint is that there is no direction re parking.. the food was delicious and service was great!
Food was excellent how ever not having other options for doing screening other then digitally is a very poor service not everyone is phone dependent that goes for menu as well.
Our server was amazing. Super nice woman. We changed tables as the booth seats are low and you sink down. That's the only thing I could say.
Great Food , excellent service from our waiter Mike . Very personable. Enjoyed our dinner very much .
Limited menu and they are very particular about reservation timings but still a good place to dine
Amazing! Special night out with my wife.
Tucked away from the buzz of the Blue Mountain village but still right in the heart of it all. The food was amazing, as is always the case with O&B.
The food was pretty terrible. The price is way too high for the subpar quality of the food. All the pastas were watery. I expected much better for it being Oliver & bonacini.
The hostess was not pleasant. Server was great however.
This restaurant a must try. Food and service was amazing !!!
Amazing food and friendly staff made for a great experience.
Lovely lunch with my girlfriends, great fresh ingredients in the food and local. Always a treat
Nice menus and good service View overlooks the paddle boat lagoon. Ski runs in the background
Service was slow. Went for lunch and meals took 40 mins to come out while the restaurant had only a few tables.
We had lunch. Food was only ok. I expected better. Wouldn't go back for that price.
Staff are working hard and doing an amazing job maintaining the 4 star standards under the current conditions. Excellent Service and every visit a Manager has stopped by to ask us how our meal is. An excellent restaurant!
My husband and I really enjoyed dining on the patio on a warm July evening. The server who I believe was Mike, was friendly and helpful. Although I loved my salmon entree, my husband's mac and cheese was mediocre with a few pieces of chicken that were a bit grisly. We enjoyed the Moscow Mule and Mexican Mules that were on special as well as the cauliflower bites appetizer. Overall, it was a good experience.
We asked for a special table to celebrate our anniversary and were seated at the best spot on the patio. Ethan is one of the best servers that we have ever encountered. He was very knowledgable and extremely attentive. He suggested the chicken and leek potstickers as a appetizer since they have been on the menu forever. They were delicious! We also has the grilled calamari and my husband LOVED his scallop entree. They also served us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They will not disappoint!
Fantastic food and wonderful service. If you are going near sunset, be sure to be seated where you won’t be blinded!
The food was terrible! Mushroom soup tasted like dirt . I only ate it because I was starving. The pizza I had was not warm and the cheese wasn’t melted. It was not up to standards. It was very expensive for the food we had. The service was excellent but it was overshadowed by the terrible tasting food. The restaurant was too hot and our group was dying of heat and nobody did anything about it. The manager was amazing and checked on us the entire time. He was wonderful. I’m sorry to say but our group of 5 was very dissatisfied and we will not be returning ever.
Great meal, excellent hostess and would come back again!
Good food. Server was great. Only negative was our food took almost an hour to arrive
The food was good. It really hit the spot!
