Overall was an okay dining experience. The waitstaff was very slow in getting our food/drinks (drinks arrived after our food) and after dinner coffees to the table. The server did not ask if we were celebrating anything (birthday). The food was good but not great especially for the price. There is no kids menu. They had kids sized mac and cheese (with other stuff added like peas which is not good for kids) or cheese-only pizza in a full size. Not many kid friendly options available. Good if you are coming for a date or adult groups but do not recommend for families with kids.
I have to drive in from Barrie to have lunch here, so it has to be good enough to drive that far! I always order the quiche for lunch because it is so good! However, this time I noticed that the brand of quiche has changed. There was a crust which the former brand did not have and it was so salty! The best critique I can give the lunch is so-so, which is very disappointing.
Great server. Good food, always. Don't be put off by the renovations outside.
Birthday lunch! Positive experience
The restaurant decor and staff made the experience enjoyable. I thought the food was somewhat disappointing. Other O&B locations have better food, and at that price point I expected better value than I got.
When I arrived I stated I had a reservation and was taken to a seat.
I sent a text to the person I was meeting to let them know I had arrived, only to find that they had also arrived said the name of the reservation and was seated somewhere else in the restaurant.
I know it is a busy restaurant but it effects the service through no fault of the server.
It is very loud.
Great service, great meal
Service was mostly ok though we seemed abandoned at the end and had to go find the server to bring the bill. Considering the prices, they could get some nicer tea pots, and wow - paper napkins. "Patio" was recommended as being quieter than the interior, but there was much echo-reverberation from the wide mall avenue including the unfortunate timing of the garbage bins being moved. Food was ok. Wine is exaggeratedly pricey for quality and no half litre options?? Silly patio floor covering - "grass" - chairs don't move well. Convenient location but otherwise would not be my first choice.
We enjoyed foods a lot.
Brunch is soso...
Always a fantastic brunch.
the staff really made the experience memorable. the food was quite good and the kitchen was great to accommodate a couple of changes - I requested veggies instead of shrimp on my pasta. I just found it odd that they gave me sweet potato rather than greens.
70 dollars for two for lunch. We both had the lunch soup and salad combo along with the warm crab dip to share., one tap water and one soda which by the way was never topped up. I think there are other more lunch affordable venues in the Bayview village...I believe we will try those next time..as lunch was not outstanding in terms of flavour just regular...and for that price it would have to be blow out of the water!
Music is too loud
VERY GOOD, A LOT OF FOOD, MY FRIEND MISSES YOUR LEMON DESSERT 🍨
Attended a business lunch with 5 other colleagues, and the service was very poor. Our group didn't order any alcohol, and only two out of six had a starter salad. We only got sandwiches, which should be a relatively quick meal to turn around from a kitchen and it was an hour before food arrived at our table. One sandwich was made incorrectly and the re-fire took another 20 mins. All in all it was a 2 hr lunch, which should have easily been an hour max. For business lunches, I expect quick turnaround, and that would be a big part of their demographic.
The selection on the menu on a Sunday afternoon was very limited. Only pasta choice was Mac and cheese.
Hi - I had lunch at Oliver's at Bayview last Sunday. I've eaten there many times. Not all visits were good - food-wise. I found the Summerliscous dining a waste of money. All three of our dinners were not only cold but dried out and one item was unidentifiable and barely edible.
Last Sunday's brunch included three people. One person was brought the wrong eggs benedict and it took a while to get the correct dish brought to him. The non-alcoholic ceasar drink for our second guest was just plain old tomato juice, no ceasar taste at all. She complained and got a properly made non-alcoholic ceasar drink made and brought to the table. That was the food, the worst experience was your washrooms. The one on the main floor was so dirty is was unusable. The downstairs washroom is so dark you can hardly see. Get some proper lighting in there, and if you are going to jam pack your restaurant with people day and night, clean them up once in a while. You'll do yourself a huge favor in doing this.
Everything was good. Our server was very nice and at no time did we feel rushed.
Did a great job. Service was perfect...it was lunch so we didn't have a lot of time, but did not feel rushed at all. Food was delicious
The staff and service was excellent, and though I do feel some dishes were a touch overpriced, the food was good. Truly if all wait staff were as excellent as the server we had, then you would not be disappointed.
O&B always has consistently good food and service - don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal there!
Great supper, not too busy . last minute booking, amazing food.
Special Lamb Kebab
Great food. Great service.
We are regulars of O&B in Bayview Village - likely since it opened. For the first time ever - we had service so poor that I’m not sure I would be going back there. We had to wait 10 minutes for our server. We had the table closest to the wait staff station (where the coffee and water are) and in those 10 minutes - not one other wait staff said hello as they passed. Our server finally came and got our drink orders. And we’re waiting for her to come back and the next thing we know - she’s taking the order of the table next to us who clearly arrived after us. I brought it to the manager’s attention and she got our order and asked the kitchen to prioritize it. While waiting for the food to arrive, no one asked nor refilled our water and coffee while all the tables around us was getting a refill. Food was good (never disappointed). If it wasn’t for the Manager, we wouldn’t had a coffee refill. The server finally offered us water when clearing out our plates - which I said would be lovely but she ended up refilling the water of the same table next to us before us - when their table was getting refilled this whole time. We brought it to the Manager’s attention again. This was yesterday and I am still very shocked at the service we received. It brought me to tears yesterday as I just never expected it from a place our family enjoyed for at least 5 years.
Our server Katie was the absolute best! Will definitely be back :)
Service was great however the food was over cooked.
The food was ok, pasta was overcooked.
The service was impeccable very attentive servers.
There were children screaming and the noise level was pretty high.
Tables seems crammed together.
Place is beautiful and clean.
I would go again but only if i was close to Bayview Village I would not go out of my way.
Great night out. Love half price bottles of wine on Wednesday’s.
My only complaint was the bread roll that came with the warm crab dip appetizer. The roll was not toasted or warm and actually did not seem super fresh. Did not compliment the dip at all.
Excellent service - a little noisey - food was OK.
Very pleasant environment with good service and lovely food.
The server we had was a very pleasant young man...He knows how to read body language very well because he only appeared at the right moments...My friends commented on the fact that he was very good at his job.
The food was excellent...It was just a great experience and the birthday girl appreciated the treat! Thank you.
Pizza was blah. Tomato Sauce and cheese didn’t seem taste like quality product. Wife said butter chicken was not any good either “they somehow made the sauce taste like tomato” she told me. Servers were fine. Good physical space. Always like going to the one up at blue mountain but this was disappointing.
The food was good, the service was very good. The ambiance was not what I was expecting, however if you just want a casual family dining experience than it would be okay. I think the downtown location would be better from an ambiance perspective. However overall it was good.
The hostess was anything but welcoming or accommodating. Too bad. We had a reservation but even with many empty tables was not willing to accommodate our simple seating request. In fact she told us that ‘regulars’ are most important!! Quite unacceptable. I hope that the regulars of which our business is will keep them busy. We won’t be going back
Made a reservation on open table and still had to wait for our table an additional 20.min and only when i inquired saying that others with reservations after mine had already been seated did someone look into it and sat us. The food is over priced and my chicken club samdwich was very dry. I almost choked overall was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant
Our Hostess was very attentive and always checked up on our table. She made us feel very important and did a great job with filling our glasses with water whenever it was empty or asking if we wanted anything else to drink. She was also very helpful with our order and wanted to make sure our dishes were tasting excellent. I would come back again.
