Refined yet casual, O&B Café Grill, Bayview Village’s expansive menu of North American and Italian classics offers something for everyone, including fresh, made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and fire-roasted pizzas. The weekend brunch menu showcases a mix of classic Eggs Benedict and Belgian Waffles alongside inventive comfort food like Fried Chicken & French Toast.
Service seemed somewhat rushed. Not as friendly as some places. Food was amazing! Compliments to the Jamaican chef!! Dessert pudding a little disappointing.
I would dDefinitely recommend. I'm a regular. :-))
Service staff very attentive. Food is good for its value
We come to this restaurant with friends and family for Summerlious every year.
We all enjoyed again, last weekend.
I feel that the quality and the taste of the food needs to be improved. Especially the Hollandaise sauce which tastes really weird here and I’ve had it in many places so I know what it should taste like. More variety of vegetarian options would be great.
Decent place but bad food
Cosy but dark
Never disappointed when we come to O&B! Excellent food and service!
Good summerlious menu, love the "slow roasted bulgogi brisket"
The server was attentive. Mushroom soup was always excellent. Salad was really fresh and the jerk chicken Cobb was delicious even it's a bit on the spicy side. However, the dessert was little disappointed but overall it's still a good value for the summerlicious menu.
Line up to wait for over 15-20mins after booked time with 92yer old senior. Disappointed cause people do not have bookngs waited 30mins. and nobody told us how long to wait...And have no waiter coming for 10mins. Until we complaint. They finally realize the situation and find a very positive waiter to cheer us up.
If you factor in Summerlicious, I guess service is 'standard'. However, this is not the level of service I remember. Apps arrived before drinks, app plates were not cleared before Mains were brought out - i saw the server return to the kitchen with our mains when he saw our table, remove the apps then return with our dinner. Our server's shift ended during our dinner, and although the new server did come check on us, there were long periods where she was nowhere to be found.
It was my friend’s 65th birthday. I indicated it was for a birthday and the waitress brought the dessert with a candle. Very nice!!
This is not the first time we have eaten at O&B service was exceptional food scrumptious. Highly recommend
This restaurant has a pleasant but extremely noisy ambience.
Food was good, service prompt and good value.
Perhaps they could ask us our preference for seating rather than based on where one is seated based on “ busy-ness” of server?!
Had the loaded tata tots for the appetizer which was great. The grilled salmon with ozo salad was excellent and the Hagen Diaz dessert was yummy. The service was quick and attentive. Sat outside in the mall which was very enjoyable.
Food quantity and quality greatly improved compared with last Summerlicious.
We were very disappointed with the summerlicious menu. The appetizers: mushroom empanadas and spinach & sundried tomatoes dip were good. However both the mains bulgogi and chicken were very disappointing. Very odd flavors plus the dishes came lukewarm. One of the dessert, raspberry cake was also a fail. It was mushy! We couldn't even finish it. Having said all that, I am willing to give it one more try. Hopefully this is not what will happen at my sons wedding!
We were there for a Summerlicous lunch and is was very good. From the Tomato soup to the salad to spinach with sundried tomato dip all were delicious. Our main courses of Salmon even moreso. For a treat, we chose an Italian Pinot Grigio to go with our lunch and it was delightful. Our server was exceptional, he was very attentive and offered many suggestions for us and was extremely coutreous and gracious with our lunch guest. Thank you very much for a lovely lunch.
Good food with excellent service. Because of Summerlicious it was extremely noisy
Bread was not served until we asked for it. However, the restaurant noticed my super “light” taste. I appreciate it.
Good food, good service, good times. The menu is inventive and well executed. The restaurant is pretty but very noise. Caters to families, so there are plenty of kids, especially on weekends. Staff is personal but professional. A little pricey, but worth it.
Although 2 of us had our meal delivered Lukewarm, it was replaced immediately no questions asked. Staff was extremely apologetic and compliant. Food was delicious as always.
Your overall service was fantastic, from the front desk receptionist who went to clean the table that we asked for to the servers and cleaning staff , all were perfect.
Rarely does one see such complete high level service.
I guess it is the busy season, our server didn't really have a smile on her face. Is like she just do her job and that is it. But place is so nice and clean. Hostess at the front was very polite and nice.
I ate lunch at Oliver & Bonacini in Bayview village as part of the Summerlicious program which runs every year. I had the cream of tomoato soup, the salmon and the Hagen Daz desert. All were more than acceptable and I quite enjoyed the lunch. The food was well prepared and presented and the delivery was very timely - no long delays between courses. I did think that the menu choices this year were a bit more restrictive (in terms of my taste) than previous years but others might not have felt them restrictive. EXcellent restautant, excellent food and good service.
Not sure if my previous review went across - had problems with the final private note. Poor food quality for the price and snotty service.
Drink was not to daughter's liking - I fixed it with watermelon juice and told waiter. He did not offer to bring additional complimentary juice.
Potatoes were old. Braised greens ended up being sauerkraut. Peas were boring. Beauty brisket was fatty and the dish was cold on the bottom.
I asked the waiter if the epinadeas were spicy and he said mild. They were too spicy and I couldn't eat them.
The Hagendaas dessert was a joke. Could have bought a bar and put the extras on top at home. The take-out brisket and the ice cream bar was an all time low for this establishment!!
We've been disappointed the last few times we were there with the food portion, choices and quality.
Very expensive for what they serve.
We dined on the summerlicious menu.
The dessert options were not enticing however we did order the berry pudding and it was basically cake soaked in some sort of liquid. It was horrid ( my 11yr son ate it though). I asked him if he liked it he said no but it was sweet.
I also ordered a watermelon juice which I did not like. It was waaayyy too sweet. I had to exchange with my husband who had ordered ginger ale.
The service was great though and the price was reasonable for summerlicious. Would I go back? Not for summerlicious, no.
I went here with my parents and daughter to try the Summerlicious lunch menu. Generally the food was very good. My jerk chicken salad had very little chicken (three tiny chicken thighs) but tasted good. Everyone was quite happy with all three courses, with the loaded tater tots being the winner overall.
Right in the middle of busy summerlicious we got the best service & the most delicious lunch imaginable! The wonderful lady at the front desk bent over backwards to deliver our special needs & our waitress couldn’t have been nicer - right down to taking lovely 79th birthday lunch pix that we can share with a friend that couldn’t be there. Thank you!
The food was very nicely plated ! A wide variety of food choices to suit different palates. We participated in the summerlicious menu offer. Great value !
I was quite disappointed given that this is an O & B restaurant. On MasterChef, they would stress the importance of plating and making sure each customer gets the same serving of food, but, last Sat, this was totally against what they would promote. We had a table of six, and three of us ordered the same dish. However, all three dishes had a different serving size, mine was even missing an ingredient that was listed on the menu, and another's noodles were cold, when we were told that it is a hot dish. I wished I had said something to our waiter, who was attentive when he was around, but not there when we need him. I said to my husband that I would not want to come back, because the standard of food was low, for the amount that I had to pay.
Came for an anniversary dinner. There were 4 of us. The food has been going downhill in my opinion. The last time I was here the food was just "ok". Was hoping things would be better this time round.
3 of the 4 dishes we ordered were very bland. Seemed like the chefs forgot all about seasoning. Our server recommended me to upgrade my beef to the 10oz strip loin as it's suppose to be more tender, so I did. The strip loin was cooked to my liking (medium rare) but when I cut into it with a steak knife, the meat was not tender at all. I told our server and he took it away. I ended up getting a regular burger instead. The burger was alright but I can get that almost anywhere else. A table across from us also sent their steak back.
The fish and chips were also disappointing as the fish had way too much batter and it wasn't as crispy as many other places.
The tuna Niçoise salad had nice sized pieces of tuna but the salad itself was missing the dressing. We had to ask for it afterwards.
The only good main was the turkey burger. Tender and a good sized portion.
Finally, the service. The restaurant was very busy (Saturday night). The staff were all over the place. Our server took our order but it was always someone else who brought us our drinks, bread, or food. I have no issues with this; however we also had to ask other servers for things as we couldn't see our server much of the time. Our server only came back to speak with us to see if he could sell us on dessert. As we did not have a good experience with the dinner itself we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. It felt like he only came by to see if he could get us to spend more money. Come to think of it, I'm now really sad that we tipped him the customary 15%.
1 out of 4 dishes is not a good way to get me to come back. They didn't even say anything about the fact that we were there to celebrate an anniversary.
Went for summerlicious with friends, and our meal was lacking food compared to the same appetizer as the tables around us. Server was forgetful, and slow even when the restaurant started to get less packed.
It was extremely hot in the dining area. I had the summerlicious menu and ordered an appetizer and the size of it was disappointing. The carrots and celery to dip with were not fresh; my waitress was very accommodating because she brought me new sticks of carrots and celery. However, the temperature of our appetizers were not satisfactory. They were barely warm. My friend ordered the tater tots and they were soggy and not crispy.
We had a jerk chicken Cobb salad for our main and that was delicious; we requested more salad dressing as the lettuce was not fully covered in dressing.
For dessert, we had the frozen Haagen daaz cookies and cream bar. The dessert was not frozen enough, it had starting melting inside by the time it arrived at our table which was not a pleasant experience. There was sweet cheesecake frosting topping and bananas on the side with the bar. If you’re a sweet tooth, you’d really enjoy that!
Made a reservation but when I arrived was told I had to wait ten minutes outside because they were busy. Kind of undermines the reason for making a reservation. The service was slow but the waitstaff was pleasant and the food very good.
As with all events in Toronto , they become so popular that the overcrowding, wait times and slow service makes in hardly worth going anymore. If it wasn’t for the great food and professionalism of the employees I wouldn't go back
The noise level made me feel very uncomfortable. I have been there a number of times before, and enjoyed the food and the service. But this day seemed quite disorganized. I received my desert before being served lunch. I had to return it mentioning that I wasn't ready for it.
The isles were very narrow, and often obstructed by servers, so it was difficult to move, to go to the ladies room and when we were leaving.
I’ve been there before but not for brunch
There was 3 of us and 2 of us got our meals and 3 rd person was 10 min later only after asking 2 people. Ours was then cold and he offered to redo ours but then the 3 rd persons would get cold
The eggs were so runny potatoes undercooked all in all just awful
I left a 15% tip because I felt bad for the order taker but I’d never go back
Celebrated a friends birthday. Added bonus was it was summerlicious. Menu selections were terrific. Tater tots ana a very generous portion and spinach dip as the apps loved both, salmon was great with orzo, and dessert lemon square awesome.
Our server was very attentive and although they were pretty busy the meal was delivered in a timely manner
