About Oliver & Bonacini Cafe Grill, Bayview Village

O&B Bayview Village is the first location of Oliver & Bonacini’s casual dining restaurants. Despite its North Toronto location, this large urban space feels very downtown. A gleaming open kitchen extends into the airy dining room, featuring washed tin ceilings, leather banquettes and dramatic and distinctive light fixtures.

Refined yet casual, O&B Bayview Village’s expansive menu of North American and Italian classics offers something for everyone, including fresh, made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and fire-roasted pizzas. The weekend brunch menu showcases a mix of classic Eggs Benedict and Belgian Waffles alongside inventive comfort food like Fried Chicken & French Toast and Breakfast Pizza. O&B Bayview Village also offers a selection of signature cocktails, a well-curated wine list, and a different drink special every day of the week.

Service was horrible. Attitude was horrible. We were there for a special occasion...arrogant waiter and chef. Their 2-egg dish offers eggs to be made any way you want. They were not willing to make an omelette style. Really? Scramble some eggs, put them in a pan flip and fold. They were adamant about not making it this way. Then explained it's the way the kitchen is and the new equipment. I smell BS. Were there for brunch. Brunch is until 4 pm. At 1 pm they 'ran out' of home fries. Were offering French Fries instead. No offer to compensate for anything.

Go to Denny's - you'd be treated better and food can be made to order.

It was a nice, busy, place. The food was good but wine and deserts seemed a bit overpriced. Staff were very helpful. If I were at the mall and feeling hungry, I might go back but there are many restaurants in this kind of category and I didnt feel it stood out in any way that would make me rush to drive specially there.

This is my 3rd time going to this restaurant and I find it every time, the restaurant is very loud. Sometimes it is very hard to have a conversation in here so I would not recommend going here if especially if you are with a group of people, because you will not be able to hear anyone speaking at the end of the table. However the food at this restaurant is good and consistent so if you are in it for a food, then I would recommend this place.

Had soup/salad lunch combo. The soup was just ok and the flatbread was all dried out. I expected something better.

The service was terrible , not the waiters fault. The food was not coming out of the kitchen & I believe our waiter had too many tables to serve .
We were continually apologized to, but no main course !
3 of 5 people had an appetizer which took longer than needed to come out & therefore the others who did not have an appetizer waited from 6:30 until 8:15 to get their main course .
We enjoyed each other's company , however dining , which is why we were there, would have been appreciated.
One person had the liver & hardly ate any after that long wait & said it was awful!

No one ever came to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything. If they had, we would have told them that we couldn't even cut through the tough, rubbery calamari they served us. The rest if the meal was just OK- overpriced for the poor calibre.

Always a pleasure to dine here. Food and service were fabulous. Menu has enough variety to satisfy us. One of the diners would have liked to have the calamari available on the brunch menu.

Overall, it was good but the main course took almost an hour. The waiter was good. He was working every table around so I can't fault him. The kitchen was very slow. That's my only complaint.

Had a good meal at Oliver & Bonacini. I ordered the daily special, which was "Chef Omar's ribs". The jerk spiced ribs were tender and not dry, flavours were pretty good too. Food took a while to come out, but service was good.

Went there for summerlicious with friend on last Sunday. The food is decent, I like my dessert the most in all 3 courses. The environment is great and the services is fantastic as always. The only thing bothered me a bit is we asked for a quiet place so we sit outside not in the dining room, but the people sitting next to our table just constantly talking really loud, which is kindly annoying. But overall, the dining experience is great, enjoyed the food and great services. would come back another day for weekend brunch or dinner.

A very nice place to meet friends and business associates. Service was courteous and quick, with personality but no drawing attention. Food was great, truly delicious. No problem recommending this place for a very nice lunch to anyone. Just a little loud and busy for conversation. Overall, a delightful experience.

Food was relatively good (stereotypical). Service was a little odd - took a while to get our order taken but more problematically was we were served someone else's meal and had to tell the server who brought it over that it wasn't ours. Luckily our actual order was not far behind. So service was adequate

This was a horrible dining experience. The food quality was not reflective, or worthy, of the O&B brand. We were served food from a warmer that had clearly been previously cooked and left to dry out until served to an unsuspecting customer. I'd expect that from a fast food restaurant with a play place, not an O&B restaurant where the bill is over $70 before alcohol. We tried the Summerlicious menu and were wholly disappointed. Polenta fries were dried out and barely warm. The soup was barely lukewarm, and didn't taste as described in the menu. The chicken milanese was so dry and barely warm. It cut my throat. The sangria was served without any fruit in it (do they even know what sangria is?) and the white wine was served from a dirty carafe that had drops of red wine all over it. We left hungry and so disgusted that it ruined our night and we just went home. I was totally turned off eating anything so I went to bed hungry. I would NEVER recommend this place to eat food, or have drinks, at.

It has been a nice experience although I did not enjoy the food very much. I had enjoyed my food on earlier visits but not this time. I found the summerlicious menu to have not been as delicious as expected, however, we had very good service and for that we are grateful.

Went for Summerlious. Hostess was friendly. Ambience was nice. Great place for friend's get together. Food was disappointing though. The appetizers were okay. Nothing special. The Beef Short Ribs were hard and dry. Not enough sauce on each plate. My arms got tired just by cut it. The Banana Tarte Tatin were the best dish of the night. Not too sweet but very aromatic with the banana.

I prefer their regular menu than the summerlious one

We had a most enjoyable experience. The service was efficient ,friendly and left a positive impact. We prefer the outside tables as it is not as noisy. The value as a Summerlicious menu is exceptional.I had been to Auberge earlier in the week and had a lovely tranquil experience.Lovely, wonderful service and food and will be recommending both restaurants to our ladies group to celebrate birthdays. Please keep me informed of events in the future

I visited during lunch for Summerlicious- a quick business lunch. Even though it was the height of the lunch rush - the service was prompt and courteous. Our server was attentive and not overbearing. Even though it was very busy- we were visited by the manager Tony as well, to check on our experience. Both meals was fantastic and a great value. Lamb pasta and polenta fries were the highlight of our lunch. We were greeted warmly by our hostess, and acknowledged upon leaving the restaurant very nicely - which goes a long way to make us feel welcome to come back.
Well done!

We order the green salad, chicken with salad and cannoli. The food lacked sincerity: the salad was not cold and crisp and appeared to be put together in a rush. The chicken cutlet was dry. The service was poor, but we were told the service charge was 15% and we paid it.
We have been a frequent customer of Auberge du Pommier for over 20 years. We have been to O&B, but not as bad this time.
Hope you will make some improvement in the food quality ,service and value.

Brunch here is great!! Dinner however as very lacking. No one in my party was particularly blown away. It wasn't bad.... But it wasn't good.... I think I'll stick to going to O&B for brunch only.

I had wanted to try this restaurant with my daughter had been there a year ago and loved it. Unfortunately it did not live up to her past experience, not sure if it was because of th e summerlicious menu. My soupd was lukewarm and my daughter couldn't finish hers as it was bitter. My chicken was greasy and her pasta was very plans. The highlight was the desert. I couldn't believe you ch are $7.50 for two coffees. I have been to very high end restaurants and the coffee is never that expensive plus the waiter didnt even ask if we wanted a refill. I think the quality is lacking with regard to summerlicious offerings and perhaps not worth your reputation if the standards cannot be met
