Service horribly slow. Busboys grab plates from you while you're still eating. Food good, but noisy atmosphere.

The food was good, but not for the price. The restaurant only offered a pre fixe menu(this was four days after Valentine's Day). The entrees were good, but app and dessert were not worth the cost.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. I went with my boyfriend the Saturday after Valentine's... WOW this place will be hard to top! They had an entertainer walking around and singing love songs throughout the restaurant, it really helped to set the mood. My boyfriend and I both loved our entire meal, the food was really delicious. I can't eat dairy and the staff was very accommodating which I don't always find at other restaurants. A+ and strongly recommend checking this place out for your next special occasion - well worth the $$.

We went to the last reservation and by 8pm they had turned off the music and repeatedly came over to ask if we were done with our food yet

Service is was great. We were grabbing dinner before a movie and were served in plenty of time to make it to the show. Food was good. Desserts were a little too sweet for our taste but were very inventive. Nice atmosphere, gets a little crowded on Saturday night. Go early.

We had so much fun. It was a wonderful experience as soon as we walked in. We met Lucy’s cousin who told us about her and showed us her picture on the wall. We were honored to be seated at the owners table. Perfect spot for seeing the whole room. Our Server Freddy was amazing and couldn’t be more accommodating. The food was incredible. 4 of us had the paella the other 2 had scallops. No one chased us out and it was a wonderful evening. I highly recommend it!

The service was great, however, my meal was awful. I had the encrusted salmon and it tasted like mayonnaise was just smeared on top and the vegetable was broccoli which had not taste. The appetizers and salad were very good. I love salmon and eat a lot of it out and have to say that unfortunately, this is one of the worst salmon dishes I have ever eaten. I won't be rushing back.

Had a reservation after a 7:00 movie across the street. Was looking for a light meal and could not have been more pleased with our selection. Salad and the Mussels Portuguese to start . The mussels were delicious with the perfect amount of heat from the jalapeño, could have dunked an entire basket of bread in it. Instead waiting for the Steamed Swai Filet, which was light and delicious. Husband had the Mariscada and enjoyed it. Waiter was attentive and he was happy to explain ingredients and how a dish was prepared.

This place reminds me of Fresco in Montclair. It attracts a young noisy crowd who isn't so much interested in (or even recognizes) what a place rated so highly should deliver in the way of cuisine. (According to Yelp and Open Table, Lucy's is rated 4 - 4 1/2 stars. That's two stars too high in my book.) And it's overpriced for what you get. My paella special was "pfffffft" and my wife's chicken special doggie-bagged it home with us. Right now it's taking up space in the refrigerator. I'll be tossing it in the trash tomorrow. My buddy's pork chop special was enough to feed a 12 year old, and his wife's salmon was...well, all she ever orders is salmon so I don't even bother asking any more. If you want to go for Portuguese go to the Ironbound. Peas out.

Enjoyed the evening at Olive Lucy's - a vibrant restaurant with excellent food and a huge variety. Majority of options are Italian - but the short ribs were fantastic! Several specials also tempted us this evening and we tried 2 and were happy we did. We both agreed we will be back. Louder than I would like and quite crowded but not rushed and all in all a great night.

We hadn't been to Olive Lucy's in a while but decided to take some out-of-town guests. I love the atmosphere of this place (though a bit too loud). Everyone was happy with their food from paella to mussels to pork chops and chicken. The main issue was the absolutely terrible service. Our waiter was clearly spread too thin. The kitchen was also out of whack. Our party of 6 ordered before the table of 10 behind us and yet their food was served well before us. Also, only 4 people at our table got their meals together and the other two were a full 5 minutes behind leaving everyone waiting and food getting cold. Then the last two meals were not even brought out together. I really like the food, but I have to say the service is a really big turn off. I probably won't run back too soon.

This place was just okay. It was New Year's Eve so things were a bit hectic as they were pretty busy. Did not love the seating and the pre-set menu was again, just okay. Service was alright as I had to remind the waiter a few times for an extra fork and bread. Also as I reviewed my bill I noticed that they overcharged for the prefix meal. They did not have an issue adjusting back to the correct price when I noticed.

The atmosphere was nice though.

Will likely try this place again during a non-holiday weekend to taste the regular menu.

Cute place across from HQ Mall. The decor is very unique in a town where most restaurants are riding the reclaimed wood and shabby chic trends. The menu is a hybrid of Italian and Portuguese. It did a respectable job. My daughter mentioned that her lobster mac and cheese barely had any lobster in it. The paella was ok but a bit uninspiring. I'm used to the Spanish/Portuguese version down neck (in the Ironbound section of Newark). The younger kids did not appreciate their marinara sauce (too sweet) nor the meatballs (fried and too hard) both of which I agreed with. Their mussels were served in a nice spicy green sauce. Will have to return to try other dishes.
