   Pleasant meal and nice service. Even to the point of lending us an umbrella as it was raining so I could go to car to get our own

   We went here for an evening for our anniversary. Pre booked, the staff were very friendly and attentive, but not over the top, the atmosphere was lovely but being a university city, it can become a little noisy, with over excited students, 😊 but do not let that put you off. Beautiful food and great value. A great evening out and dining experience.

   We booked late on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised to get a table for four at such short notice. This restaurant was recommended by friends in our party and from start to finish we experienced good food with friendly and charming service. We did have cause for annoyance though when having to prompt our waiter for the bottle of wine we had ordered (twice) which eventually arrived after the starters had been finished and then again for plates for the salad bar which were not forthcoming. However, given these small imperfections in service, we would most definitely return.

   Three of us enjoyed an excellent dinner on Friday night. Great range of choice from the menu, but as two guests are not fans of chilli, I would suggest more options without that! However overall it was a great night, lovely service and good wine range. Well done Olive Grove!

   We dined at the Olive Grove last week - pre-theatre 2 courses. The risotto and chicken dishes were delicious, service second-to-none, and great value-for-money. We have eaten at good London restaurants so we were a bit sceptical given the mixed reviews on OpenTable, but I would not hesitate to recommend The Olive Grove!

   We were the first ones to dine due to early dinning but looked after well. Even changed the wine as it was sweet for our taste. Menu comprehensive and desserts really good.

   Nice attentive staff good great location for theatre and shops probably choose wrong for me but there's so much too choose from and in a very comfortable restaurant

   Having been to the olive grove a few years ago I have to say I was disappointed this time round. Service was slow and the waitresses were not very attentive. Cutlery was damp and dirty and the table was covered in a sticky substance. Upon arrival we were moodily greeted by a waitress who, even though we had booked a table, huffed and said "we'll try and find you a table". I had the whitebait to start which in fairness was very nice, however my steak was almost entirely fat. Overall I was quite disappointed.
