Olive B's Big Sky
the best in big sky, service, food, ambiance, and Bibber are the best
We love coming here with friends and family. We recommend everyone to go here for one of there many dinners in Big Sky.
Lunch - good soup and salad
My husband and I shared the foie gras appetizer. It was very good. We also split the duckling, which was perfectly cooked con fit style. It was half a duckling plus the sides for two which was a nice portion. Definitely a fun new place to try in Big Sky.
Olive b’s has delicious food. We had the mushroom appetizer - cheesy and delicious. The crab crostini salad was the special. It was also good but it was cheesy too so we didn’t plan that out well. But both were delish. We ordered a chop salad and it was great. The bison short ribs served on mashed potatoes were so tender and wonderful. This was a great restaurant with a casual elegant feel to it. Loved it.
Took my wife for a date night and it was fantastic! I had the buffalo short rib special and every bite was perfect. It was fall off the bone delicious. Service was on point and provided us with a perfect date night dinner. Looking forward to going back soon.
Visiting from Charleston, SC, we loved the food! We ate early so there was no noise at all.
Excellent food and excellent service. One of our favorites.
Love the salmon. Very good service with an excellent waiter
Very nice evening out with girlfriends
Great place for lunch much or dinner or a date night! One of my favorites!!
We enjoyed our dinner so much earlier this week, we came back. World class food in Big Sky, rivals the best in any town. A very busy week, yet they still delivered great food and service. The owner was not on site and his staff, chef’s and servers, did an outstanding job in his absence. Had halibut, beef, elk and all were excellent! Earlier in the week the halibut was in short supply. Very glad we went back and were able to have it as it was outstanding. Great, well run restaurant.
Very good refined ranch cuisine spot. Loved the Wild Game Bolognese. Delicious. Skillet cookie bit smaller than last year when we visited and shared one and were very satisfied. . Granted, my family are skillet cookie aficionados. The Caesar salad was great. Brussel Sprouts as well. Fair prices considering many of the fancy places in Big Sky have prices that are, even by California standards, Sky High. Staff are knowledgeable and professional and friendly. Ambience is Ricky mountain and warm.
Great food and excellent service. The night we were in there was a raucous crowd at the bar that made the entire restaurant quite noisy. I had to lean in to have a conversation with my wife. Other than that, no complaints.
Always, always, always one of our stops while visiting Big Sky!!!! The food is absolutely amazing...service is perfect and just an all around wonderful restaurant! Our favorite app...the calamari- it’s like no other with the ginger slaw! If mussels are available...indulge! They are delicious.
Our 13 year old loves the wild game bolognese...not at all ‘gamey’! The elk, with truffle mashed potatoes are not to be missed!! Any and all of the fish dishes are great!!
Olive B’s was outstanding the other night. Best food we have had in Big Sky and one of the best meals we have had there. Wild game Bolognese, Bison short ribs, beef tenderloin and salmon. Particularly notable were the mussels appetizer and Fisherman’s chowder. We dined at 7:00 and they were out of the wild Alaskan Halibut, a bit of a surprise but the meal and service made up for the minor disappointment. Service was excellent. Joshua was attentive, timely, not overbearing. Great server.
World class food in Big Sky!
Always a great meal at Olive B’s! Come here every time we are in Big Sky. Martini made perfectly and food is very good.
Olive B’s was a hit with my group. Everyone loved their choices. We enjoyed calamari, bison, too die for, duck. The variety of dishes was very good & prices reasonable. I loved watching the 3 chefs perform their magic as their kitchen was open to the dining room. I will return.
Love it as usual! We will be back. Great seeing Bibber.
This place was good, not great.
Great dinner! From the moment we stepped in the door, they were warm & welcoming. Great service. All the dishes were well prepared & delicious. We had a salad , crab cakes, mussels, pork chop & salmon entrees. All were delicious. Very charming ambience. Would come back here any time.
Would put this place on the short list of top dining options in Big Sky. Pork chop and beet salad were outstanding. Good wine list and desserts. Very attractive, cozy space with attentive service. Definitely will return.
I don’t know why this restaurant is so highly recommended when searching for restaurants in Big Sky. First, speaking with whoever answered the phone, they were very rude. When I called to ask about reservations it was like he wanted to say “how dare you call to ask that”. I made my family a reservation on open table because when I called the restaurant they didn’t seem to want to give me one. I really wanted some Elk and it seemed like this was the place to get it. My family and I walked in at 4:30 to an empty restaurant. The host took our name and then pointed across the restaurant to the one set table and told us that was our table. Considering they act like this is such fine dining I expected to at least be brought to our table?? Our server seemed less than thrilled to be waiting on us which was odd because it wasn’t like they were busy.
The bread, mushroom app and salads were good. The elk my father and I got was horrible. It was three small pieces of very thinly cut meat with zero pink in the middle even though we both ordered it medium. It was supposed to come with a huckleberry sauce but it did not come with that, not sure what the sauce was. It tasted like cheap steak, nothing like Elk. Very disappointing.
Do yourself a favor and go next door to Michaelangelos
Server was attentive. Food was average and not as good as we remembered from our visit last March. Will probably try something new next time.
Fabulous food and great service! Huckleberry martinis are the best!
We are in Big Sky to ski. We visited Olive b last year and loved everything about it. The food is of a very high level, while the ambiance is low key, warm and friendly. We’re going back later in the week.
Lovely food preparation, nice service. The ambiance struggles a little between the high price menu and the lowbrow ski resort feel to the decor. A little more lipstick on the interior, just dressing the tables, would make the food prices feel a little less audacious. Still the meal was lovely, the cocktails and wine excellent, and the overall experience delightful.
Love the cozy charm,
Love the tasty fare,
Love the relaxing vibe.
Great French Onion soup!
Food excellent as usual. Very busy and noisy. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table for our 8:15 reservation.
We are there twice during our 5 night stay. Absolutely superb on all fronts!
Olive B’s was outstanding once again. Food fantastic, everyone enjoyed their meals. Ranged from fish to elk, beef and bison. Olive B salad excellent. Our server had an off night and was less attentive than we usually experience there. We’ll be back.
Could stand to freshen up menu a bit. Service is always great.
Great lunch with girlfriends
Took friends for dinner. Very enjoyable!
We love Olive B’s, but this visit was over the top! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance. We will definitely be back!
Olive’s is where you go to have wonderful friend conversations, cocktails, and creative and stunning gastronomical delights!
Last night our party tried the special strip steak, duck, and filet. Happy, Happy, Happy!!!
Awesome dinner place! Great menu with a nice variety of dishes. Steak and foie gras were excellent.
My wife's dish of lamb was good. My eggplant parmesan was OK.
Our dining experience was just perfect! Such nice and friendly staff!
