Olive B's Big Sky Ratings and Reviews
Olive B’s is NEVER a disappointment, with imaginative cuisine that any gourmand will love!
Second visit this week with my wife; I had the Michigan Walleye special which was ridiculously good, and my wife had the steak special. We both left very content and happy!
By the way, Olive’s wines offerings are well varied, and the price-point very fair!
We are on vacation with our 3 Sons who are home from college. My goal was to find a great restoration to top off a week of skiing before they return to school. We live in NC, so I planned everything from a distance. You did not disappoint. The meal was great and all left satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. Mom continues to rock! Thank you.
It was our first visit on New Years Eve. Our service was impeccable. Our teen boys accompanied us, and had a couple of changes to the menu items. There was no hesitation. My youngest ordered the ribeye. It was fantastic. My oldest ordered the chicken parm, and it was very good and a huge portion. My hubby and I both got the elk. He loved it. Mine was a little tougher than his. Desserts were amazing. We would definitely return.
Outstanding We voted this the “Best food in the area” we stayed in Bozeman because our son lives there but spent the day up in BigSky and decided to try somewhere new. We will be back Worth the drive from Bozeman even if we aren’t skiing that day The service was well timed and excellent as well
Homey restaurant energized with a bit of open kitchen visibility. For starter, I had the fried calamari which was gluten-free (corn meal/flour) and tasty. My main course of duck was a bit on the sweet side, as are quite a few of the mains. They didn't have gluten free bread or pasta unfortunately. Service was very friendly and efficient.
I have owned a place in Big Sky for several years now and eaten at Olive B's probably 7 or 8 times in my time there. Last Tuesday night was the best meal I've had there, hands down. My sisters were my guests and as they had not visited with me there before, the meal left a lasting impression. Not sure exactly how or why but all of the selections were outstanding. Definitely a bit on the expensive side, and not for an every night affair, but this time is was certainly worth it. Kudos to the chef and owner Beeber.
I've always had a good if not great meal here. This recent dinner was not up to their usual standards. I had the elk steak medallions which were unevenly cooked, part medium part blood rare and tasteless, sides were uninspired mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband was very happy with his meal, the salmon nicoise. I did complain and they took our dessert off of the total.
Olive B's consistently delivers great food under the watchful eye of the owner who does the cooking and/or supervises the kitchen. Fun to watch him in action. Great choices with seafood, meat and a vegetarian option or two. Always tasty and enjoyable. Excellent wait staff, many of whom have been there for years. Friendly, helpful. The halibut and tenderloin were outstanding. NE clam chowder as well-very filling. One of Big Sky's best and one we always make a point to visit when in town.
The first time I ate at Olive B's the food was amazing. This time my medium steak was medium well with a thick layer of char on the outside. It looked like it had been forgotten over the fire. Service was good as was the atmosphere but I'm on the fence as far as eating there again.
Olive B Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants, and we have the opportunity to eat at many great restaurants all over the US. The food is amazing each time we go, and service is attentive but not invasive. It is our favorite date night and worth the drive from Bozeman.
