Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace Ratings and Reviews
Filet of Beef. Tender, juicy & practically melted in my mouth, possibly the best steak I've ever had. The sauce and potatoes that accompanied my steak were out of this world. My wife had the Sweet Potato Cannelloni and said it was an incredible blend of flavors...Delicious! I love raw horseradish on my steak & the combination of steak, potato, sauce & horseradish was absolutely fabulous, but unless you enjoy a good nose cleaning stay away from it...Very pungent, very strong! Even though it was 105 that evening, we sat outside and was pleasantly surprised by how cool we felt under their misting system. Highly recommend Olive & Ivy's.
Multiple favors for Bruschetta were unique; the "Manchego" was the best, though none of us in our party of three could taste the Spanish Chorizo that was supposedly in there. All of us enjoyed our entrees thoroughly - pasta was homemade and delicious, as was the flatbread, and the wine.
Was in Arizona for a few days for a nice weekend with the girlfriend and Olive & Ivy was one of the places that caught my eye when looking for things to do. When we walked in we were instantly greeted by an employee who helped us with our reservations. We got a nice little table next to one of the olive trees and the service was amazingly fast for how busy it was inside. And our server ANDREW <------awesome dude was well versed in the menu and all the little things that made each dish special my only problem is that He is severely underpaid. No he did not bring up his wages and I did not ask but whatever it is that you pay your servers he deserves a raise
Our waiter (sorry, cannot remember his name, lots of tatoos) was amazing! I was also impressed at the team approach for the servers as there were a couple of staff members keeping an eye on our water/wine glasses. I drank too much though, cause I didn't know my glass was being refilled. :) We will return. Please note, this is not a complaint from my party, but in talking with a friend of mine, she took her grandfather to your restaurant earlier in the day and being that he is 80 wanted to enjoy happy hour, but was not physically able to sit at the high tables, nor the low chairs that are in the bar area. My dear Bessie requested that an exception be made to accommodate his needs, but the manager she spoke with was rude to them both.
We took the grandkids this time and the place is kid friendly as in being seated and being catered to. I have to say that all our choices of food for adults and kids alike were entirely too salty. Way too salty. From frito misto to pasta with Bolognese to my own risotto. The food is good otherwise. I like the menu. But this time we were disappointed because of the overuse of salt.
The restaurant is beautiful, the service great, the place is a great spot to take "out of towners" out.
Noise level: noisy on Friday night indoors. But that might be normal. Outdoors might be more quiet.
The food is always great! The Peanut Butter Pudding..to die for .. but indulge only after a salad. A health conscious menu section and desserts would be nice. Maybe a no sugar added chesecake or gelato would be goid and a symbol for items 600-700 calories or less? Overall great as usual!
Overall good experience. We were located in a small room away from the busy main dining room, which we loved. We could enjoy the music without been drowned by it. Our server was attentive although he forgot to order 1 order of flatbread. Food was tasty but nothing was a real wow!
Great spot nonetheless for dinner and drinks with friends.
We all had fish, which I guess is fair priced? Salmon, Sea Bass, and Big Eye Tuna....all spot on dishes. Bruchetta on HH is pretty good too, I tried Arugula and Fig as well as the Mozarella one. Moz was a little salty, but overall good flavors and fabulous bread. I hear the marketplace is a great lunch spot, this will be next on my list.
Quite a pleasant surprise. This casual, drop in-anytime type place had great seafood, wonderful bruschetta and a comfortable atmosphere. It borders the canal and the outside dining is shady and cooled with misters. Service was very accommodating for our 88 year old who only wanted sangria and artichokes! Anyone with a sweet tooth will love the dessert menu.
Took my wife out for her birthday. I made a reservation beforehand and our location was perfect for an intimate dining experience. Our waiter was phenomenal. He kept his distance but also made sure to check in on us. The food was superb, even though we shared, the staff accommodated that request and it was still excellent. Great atmosphere, great food, great experience. We had gone there once before and had the same experience. We will surely be back! Thank you for such a wonderful time, like always!
Great place. Service was very good. The manager on dty (harry)) took his time and explained the whole idea behind the concept of the restaurant as well as pushed a few of the companies others. He gave me a card and told me to ask for KELLY AT Henry's if we waned ti dine there during our sty in Scottsdale. We did and she was genuienly friendly and helpful. Food was great
I hadn't been to O&I in several years, but am typically a fan of Fox Restaurants. I have to say, our group was disappointed. The food was the most disappointing. THere was nothing special about anything we ordered. It was just ok. The service was just ok as well.
Certainly not up to the expectations!
