Our food has been inconsistent of late and the hostesses always make you feel like they’re doing you a big favor by allowing you to be seated. It will remain the most popular because of location and ambiance but after our too salty sea bass and the dry pappardelle with almost no mushrooms we’ve put it to the bottom of our list.
We were in town for business and had a spectacular meal on the patio. The scenery was fantastic, as were the food and service.
I must say, this is the worst meal I have had at a restaurant in Scottsdale in over 6 years. Our dishes were swimming is oil, making them impossible to eat. This is a pity, because the ingredients were of excellent quality. Clearly, Olive and Ivy needs to put some skill in its kitchen and revisit its recipes. I would never eat here again.
Great dinner with friends. Food was great, service was exceptional. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in a dessert of their in-house sorbet, gelato or fro-yo. Can’t be beat.
I eat here a lot. The atlantic salmon is my favorite
Delicious salad and rose. Would be nice if bushes were trimmed to see the water
My wife and I live coming for cocktails and appetizers, but this time we had dinner on the patio. The food, drink, and service were excellent.
We've been many times and will be back, but a couple of notes. We dined with our teenage children (Who dine out quite a bit) and it was an extremely rushed dinner. They clearly were trying to flip the table over and we tried to slow the pace down as we no how, but it was to the point where we were not comfortable. The waiter kept coming back after 2 minutes asking if we were ready to order and it was so fast our meals came out before they brought our bread over to the table. Overall the food was excellent and we will definitely be back, but would never go back at 7pm. Also, you should lose the bit with your hostesses stand behind tables to log how close they are to completing their meals or be a little less obvious.
It is a very pretty restaurant with a nice patio near the canal. However people tend to loiter throughout the restaurant which creates tons of noise. Not great for a nice quiet dinner. The back bar is very poorly laid out and our table backed up to the chairs at the bar which left no room to move or allow anyone to use those seats. Otherwise the food is very good.
Excellent! Appreciated that they facilitated our request for the patio. First time and really enjoyed it as did our son who was in town visiting.
Great meal. Great service. Great value. Never disappoints!
Very difficult to find using Google maps but worth the effort!!
Awesome! Everything was perfect!
I love Olive & Ivy, if I can sit outside! The patio is an excellent venue for any occasion. The indoor seating is very very loud! You can not have a personal conversation which makes the whole experience miserable. If you are into loudness, have at it!!
They have awesome cocktails!
Very good food, nice servers. Asked to be seated outside it was great at night with the breeze by the canal.
Great anniversary date. We dined outside and it was lovely
Great wine menu, great food, great service.
Sat at a spot in front of the food expediters and it was great. Kids got an eye full and it makes you appreciate all that goes into a great meal. Food was great, short rib flatbread very tasty. Jeffrey our waiter was super. Don’t have a bad word to say.
Good food, good service
every thing about our visit was excellent, but noise level is way too high for a comfortable meal
I went here for a 7 year anniversary, the food was delicious, the waiters were constantly giving recommendations and they were spot on. I would def go back soon!!
Was told that all Meat, Fish and Poultry are not available due to construction issues ? At 3 PM on a Saturday? Are you telling me you are not serving that all night?
Funny thing, as we left, the people next to us got a steak? Pretty sure that's in the meat category?
Tell me truth, like The Chef didnt show up and I would be OK with that, or we didnt get any food yet? But dont lie to me and expect a hefty tip on top of the high prices.
This was our absolute favorite spot for brunch while visiting Scottsdale! A must for sure! The brunch was fresh and made from scratch and the bakery good were the same! UNFORGETTABLE!
Excellent food, very good service, attractive venue. Major downside is the unacceptable levels of noise inside the restaurant. I would recommend that you NOT go to this place unless you can sit outside on the patio. It’s a shame that the noise overrides what would be an absolutely wonderful dining experience otherwise. They need to add some noise reducing materials to the environment.
Had a wonderful experience as always. My guest felt very special when her birthday desert arrived. Thank you so much!!
Local who has been here many times. Our waitress was terrible. Slow, forgetful and just unaware of her surroundings
This place is indeed one of the best in Scottsdale.
This was our third visit to Olive & Ivy, and the restaurant did not meet our expectations on this occasion. We were seated at a table close to a walkway for most of the restaurant, and we found the noise level and traffic to be very distracting. As usual, there was a wait for tables, so we didn't ask to be relocated. The food was good, but we didn't enjoy it much.
Very good food for lunch.
Terrible, Terrible, experience. I made reservations on line for 11:30 lunch to celebrate my birthday. We arrived on time, very few people were in the restaurant, we requested a patio table for 2, receptionist stated there was no availability at the tables in the patio, the only place we could be seated were the couches. We noticed that the patio tables were empty, save for 2 tables being occupied. I talked to a waitress and asked her, was there some mistake, the patio tables were empty, and perhaps maybe we could use one, she directed us back to the front reception. I confronted the girl, asked her again if we could be seated at a patio table, no reason was given, she rudely reiterated that only couches were available. WE WALKED OUT,, went to San Marcos Restaurant in Chandler, sat outside and enjoyed ourselves. I will NEVER return. EVER
We were especially pleased when folks tried to cut in front of us and take our table. The hostess was alert to that issue and brought our group forward. Way to be.
Good food and nice patio
Took a girlfriend for lunch. We had an excellent experience and great food. If I had a complaint, it would be about the noise level. It was a little difficult to talk at times, and would have been even harder with a bigger group. Other than that, it was everything I expect.
We had a great time at Olive and Ivy. The atmosphere was lovely, sitting outside in a shaded urban grove. Tables are not congested so conversation can be intimate and easily heard. The food was well prepared and visually pleasing. Our server was outstanding, continually replacing our beverages (not alcoholic) and keeping things moving without being too "in-your-face". We had a great time.
Outstanding meal and great service at a nice table. Very enjoyable evening. Thanks!
Great place! We went for Easter Brunch. When we got there, I found out that I made the reservation for the following day. They were so great and squeezed me in anyway! I will definitely go back again when I visit Scottsdale.
Always a pleasure to celebrate a holiday at Olive and Ivy!
Service were good. The steak was very very salty. Lady seat next to us have the same problem, her steak were salty too. Other than that is ok.
Great menu. Phenomenal service and wonderful service. Make reservations early this place is very popular!
