Olive & Ivy Restaurant & Marketplace Ratings and Reviews
Love Olive and Ivy! Came here with co-workers for a Christmas celebration. We shared some bruschetta, which is always my favorite, love the prosciutto and fig! I ordered the natural chicken for my entree and it was excellent as usual. Everyone else loved their entrees. The ambiance is also hard to beat here, just a cool vibe. The lights hanging from the ceiling give off romantic dim light during the evening and I love that I can see out the back to the patio and across the canal. Love this place!
Talk about an amazing experience! From the beautiful.ambiance of the waterfront, to the stellar service and the incredible food. We dined for brunch and the eggs benedict were to die for; all made from scratch. Don't pass up their bloody mary either, it's a must have!
Very good meal, pleasant service- no surprises. Usual dining spot when I meet a friend in Scottsdale- we are always pleased with the experience/food. Restaurant does get pretty loud in the evening with DJ, so not recommended if you would like a quiet dinner, but great if you are looking for an upbeat place with good food and service. Outdoor/terrace dining is very nice as well. Overall, nice place!
Likely our favorite restaurant during our Scottsdale visit. Fantastic patio and views, decor is really catchy and lux in a cozy way. We sat on the patio and the lights and river views were great for a dinner feel. The waiter was really honest about menu items and had great suggestions.
I come here a lot but i was not impressed this time. The service seemed flustered and cold from the host stand to the table service. Our salad, which should be simple (no modifications) was served without the bacon or avocado that it comes with. I love this place for the ambiance, but i will probably just stick to cocktails on the patio next time.
We had a lovely dinner at Olive & Ivy -- we were so happy that our last dinner on our short get away to Scottsdale was here. Everything was perfect! We had a nice table on the patio and our sever was friendly and helpful. We had the bacon wrapped dates appetizer, which was so flavorful. I had the shrimp scampi risotto and it was fantastic, while my husband had the filet, which he said was perfect! We finished with coffee and splitting the lemon pound cake with honey ice cream --- a delicious ending to a wonderful meal. When we come back to Scottsdale we will make sure to visit Olive & Ivy!
My husband and I first came to Olive and Ivy a year ago and it was amazing. We are from Chicago and when I found out we were going back to Scottsdale I immediately made a reservation. I was looking forward to having dinner there again and we originally had a reservation for 7pm but we got done with our plans for the day early and called and they were able to get us in at 4:30. We arrived and were seated and when went to order were told that we couldn’t order our dinners because they don’t serve until 5pm but were also told we would have be done by 6pm because someone else had reservations for our table at that time. These facts were not relayed to me on the phone when I called to switch the time of our reservation. We all had looked at the menu online and knew what we wanted to order before we came in. So we were only allowed to order from the appetizers, salads and flatbreads and we did so accordingly. None of us (My husband, adult son and myself) liked what we ordered. We were not satisfied and left the restaurant feeling rushed and underwhelmed with the whole experience. We left with most of our food in boxes because we were told we had to leave before 6:00. It was such a big disappointment. Next time I’m in Scottsdale we will eat elsewhere.
Great food, menu . Had the sweet potato cannelloni, margarita flatbread. Huge portions . Shared both . Split the Caesar salad too. Had lemon pudding cake for dessert. A little noisy . Was Friday nite , so a DJ was a ping up the songs . Right on the waterfront area. Very nice to walk by water after dinner. Would definitely recommend, return.
I booked the reservation through OpenTable and my request for outdoor seating and the alert of a food allergy were noted by the reception desk when we arrived. The waiter was very attentive and the food was very good.
One suggestion if you're thinking of being there a while (e.g., other than eat and run); ask to sit inside. The chairs on the patio are cast iron and we found them a little uncomfortable to sit in for 2.5 hours. The seats inside are cushioned.
We’re from out of town and were drawn to this restaurant by the great vibe we got while walking by after lunch at The waterfront. We went to dinner the next night and we were not disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, good food, and nice ambiance. My husband and I enjoyed dinner and a nice bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We made reservations for brunch. Upon arrival, I realized my favorite menu item was not on the brunch menu. The wait staff and kitchen staff accommodated my request for the cannelloni even though it was not on the brunch menu. Wow, it was terrific and I really commend the staff for being so accommodating! We enjoyed our brunch, with cocktails, and dessert totally. We will definitely be back.
I had the sea bass and it was 'OK'. For the money, it was a disappointment. My husband had the chopped salad and it was WONDERFUL!! The service was great. We set on their amazing patio. We were celebrating a birthday, so free dessert. Bonus!!! All and all it was a lovely evening.
