It was excellent, one of my favorite places for Sunday brunch out in the patio. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived.
if you want a hopping place for singles to gather this is it--noise level is off the wall but there are quieter tables on the patio if you can grab one--service was excellent even though the place was mobbed--mark was an excellent waiter--food was unremarkable--far from outstanding-- except the lamb meatballs which were delicious-- and it was disappointing that there are apparently never any specials--what you see on the menu is what you get--thankfully drinks were a generous pour so with that and the meatball i would wander back for just that
good food, good service, taken on time, pleasant atmosphere
WHAT A DINING EVENT! BEAUTIFUL SPOT ON SCOTTSDALE WATERFRONT LOVELY TABLES AND VIEWS OUTSIDE WIDE MENU AND EVERYTHING WE HAD WASGOOD
Made a reservation for the patio for a late dinner (heat lamps were awesome and view was so pretty!) Our waiter was amazing and had great recommendations. Lamb meatballs are delicious!! We did a mix of bruschetta, they were alright. The house bread and pesto was so so good. We skipped the meal and went straight for the peanut butter mousse for dessert-a must!!!
Awesome birthday experience!
Creative cuisine and excellent service.. .It’s too loud inside for a foursome to converse.
From the time the reservation was made to paying our bill our dining experience was awesome. we were seated promptly after arriving. Our waitress was very efficient and took care of all our needs. The food was very delicious for everyone as we all ordered different items from the menu. This is a definite stop when in Scottsdale.
I’m going back next week for my bday I know my friends and family will love it
Food is always good but there wad a different vday menu. Disappointing for those who regularly go for their great menu.
They made you reserve a table with a cc, the menu has changed and was limited on Valentine’s Day. The food was disappointing and the service was terrible. It will be a while before we return.
We went there with friends for Valentine’s Day. I originally made the reservation for just the two of us and then our friends wanted to join us. I was so pleased that at the last minute they were able to accommodate us - even on such a busy night as Valentine’s Day!!!
Took awhile to get our food, they came to our table twice to apologize that was taking longer than expected. We had been there before for brunch, it was very good, this time around the food was just OK. Would not hurry back, we were all disapointed.
Food was good but service was lackluster including needing to move from a wobbler table in an isle that was really the main traffic route to the kitchen. Also no need for us to have loud (dj) club music blasting during dinner. Long waits for service in general
We were over an hour late due to traffic, but we were seated right away. Our waiter was informative and was very nice.
Food and service was excellent as always. However, our reservation of an outdoor table was not honored, even though there were three open tables when we arrived on time.
We chose Olive and Ivy for a birthday celebration and were surprised and a bit disappointed that there was no recognition given. Why do you ask if it’s a special occasion if there is nothing offered/provided for the celebration?? (We included information when we made reservations.)
We always enjoy the food when we eat at Olive & Ivy ...but our issue is always the noise level when you eat inside. I made the reservation on Open Table and specifically requested outdoor seating because of the noise level. When we arrived at the restaurant at the time of our reservation, I was informed that no outdoor seating was available unless we wanted to wait another 20 minutes. There was only 4 in our party. We didn't want to wait so we sat inside. It was so loud that we ended up repeating ourselves amongst our group during our meal conversation. The server had to repeat himself also.
While we were waiting for our meal to arrive, we all noticed several outdoor tables that were empty that would have held our group without difficulty. We didn't enjoy our guests as much as we wanted because no one could visit without shouting at each other.
Though we frequent this restaurant on a regular basis, this was the first time we had the chance to sit on the patio and it was totally enjoyable. One of my issues with eating inside was the barlike atmosphere with thumping music in the background which makes it almost impossible to have a decent conversation with others in your party. Outside was relaxed, scenic and the heaters added a little comfort to the slightly chilly night air. Our food was excellent and the service superb. We tried for another reservation two days later, but could not find a suitable time. While others in our party had a chance to explore new menu items, I found the lack of vegan item a bit dismaying. I would encourage the O&I to re-think this a bit.
Great food and service.
