Olio Pizzeria is one of our favorite Santa Barbara restaurants. Food is excellent and they have yummy desserts. Service is always excellent.
Great pizza and we always enjoy a meal here before going to the New Vic Theatre for a performance. Great choices among the many pizzas and they are always willing to let you "make your own" by adding or subtracting ingredients.
I have been there the past two Saturday nights. First with local friends and then with my brother who was visiting from Northern California. Excellent meals both times...actually excellent meals every time I go to Olio Pizzeria. Love that place.
Another great meal & today we had the bonus of getting the brown plate, which meant our pizza was free!
Authentic/great food; quick service; very friendly
Was great to have an early dinner before heading over to the Granada Theater.
We had a wonderful time ❤
We’ve been eating at Olio since 2013 and it never disappoints we live in CT and come often to visit our daughter and always eat at Olio. The food and wine are wonderful, and the service is as well.
Always a great meal here. Super service. A great time.
Attentive staff, nice pizzas and tasty appetisers. I would happily go back.
Pizza was soggy in the middle☹️
Always perfect or very close to perfect.
Perfect this time because everything was A+ and the waits staff A+++.
Great service, great food.
Olio is crowded and hectic and our server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but the food was excellent and well worth it. There is only one calzone on the menu but I highly recommend it. The veggie pizza is also quite good, and the Italian chestnut ale was a good pairing for both. The atmosphere is that of a busy local Italian pizzeria - if that’s what you’re looking for, this one is hard to beat.
Always excellent, fun and great service!
Olio’s pizza was fantastic. Would highly recommend upgrading to the buffalo mozz margarehita pie. Good drinks too!
Great service thanks!!
Great. The Umbrian pizza with mushrooms and truffles is the best! So are the calamari.
Busy night, Buddy Guy in concert across street @ 8. Still, good service, great food (Loved the stuffed zucchini blossoms) and drinks, generous complimentary birthday dessert. We had a ball!
We have spent the winters in Santa Barbara for the last five years. We always have enjoyed going to Olio Pizzeria a couple times. The pizzas are very original and are great tasting. I would suggest that you try to remember the "name" of the pizza you order if you are with a group, because the waiter doesn't do the delivering and it can be confusing as to who ordered what.
Great pizzas. The salami plates are beautiful as well
Great food, with lots of pizza and appetizer options, but just a few pasta options.
Nice patio table. Excellent server.
I didn't know I loved Italian food until I sampled all the light delicate pastas with gorgeous fillings and sauces from all my friends plates and came to my senses! My shrimp salad was wonderful but wow I can't stop thinking about the pasta sheets florentine…oh my!
Chose the pizzaria for dinner before a play at the New Vic. With reservations we were seated promptly. The servers were friendly and efficient. We shared a $6 olive appetizer and two pizzas. All of it delicious. Next visit I will ask to have my pizza left in the oven a bit longer to get some char on the crust but I know that’s not everyone’s preference.
Olio pizza is always fabulous, but this time I’m writing about the divine salad—a special offered the last time we went. Arugula, roasted butternut squash tossed in a delectable lemon vinaigrette, topped with burrata cheese with a balsamic reduction. Truly memorable. I hope the chef makes it a “regular” on the menu.
Always great, always consistent
Good place but crowded feeling. Quite noisy when full.
Really bad service and the food was middling at best. Far better elsewhere. Don’t go
As always, we loved the place, the food, the wine list. The Umbra Pizza is out of this world...the salad delicious. The prosciutto melted in the mouth....
The atmosphere is authentic......highly recommend Olio Pizzeria, for any occasion.
When you crave Pizza, go to Olio....
Server did not ask for our drink order. My pizza was burned, a black crust. Was told that's how they come! It was taken off my bill thankfully.
Typically we love Olio Pizzeria but were somewhat disappointed this visit. We made a reservation days in advance. Upon arrival, we waited for at least 5 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge we were even there. Then the only available table was upstairs. I asked if there wasn't something downstairs as the ambiance is much better and was told that's all they had. I got the feeling that they didn't reserve a table for us at all and that whoever arrived first including walk ins were seated down in the main dining room. Considering we frequent the restaurant pretty regularly it was a bummer. When the hostess told us she only had something upstairs she told me I could go "check it out". I had no idea how to even get upstairs and she seemed put out that she had to lead the way. Once we got upstairs she pointed at the table we could sit at but it hadn't yet been bussed so I had to stand in the corner and wait until a busser cleared the table and push 2 together. The final straw was that a large, loud party was seated next to us which completely destroyed any hope for a quiet evening out with good conversation. We had to raise our voices just to be heard. A suggestion also would be to somehow monitor the temperature upstairs. It was so hot we were sweating.
As always the food was good and our server did a great job despite being assigned the upstairs overflow area. We will return as we are hoping this was a fluke. But come on, Olio, your local frequent flyers deserve better.
Great food. The Umbra pizza is to die for and they carry a very decent tasting non-alcoholic beer, a plus!
The food was excellent. Flavorful and satisfying. No leftovers. We cleaned our plates. This will be my "go to" spot whenever I'm in Santa Barbara.
Umbra pizza was specially good that night -- it or the Bosciola (sp?) are my usual pizza choice.
Also I like the grade plato chestnut ale but the last two times I've been there they've been out of stock. So I had the Merretti Rosa.
We then had the pan cotton pudding for dessert. All very tasty -- and quick.
Always a pleasure to eat pizza here. The service is usually very good and the food is excellent. So many choices of different pizzas as well as other entrees.
Great Pizza and Bar. Perfect for a good pizza pie before a show.
Deliciously creative pizza. Not a huge menu, but varied. Worth a return trip.
The quality and over all authenticity is superb. Can't wait to go back.
We live locally and dine here fairly regularly. Something was definitely off with the service on this evening. When we checked in with the hostess, she seemed distracted and less than cordial, telling our party to pick our own table and that she would follow later with menus. It took about 10 minutes to get water and see a server to order wine and appetizers, etc. From there, the service seemed to drag for most of the evening, with alternating servers/busboys attending to our table, having to ask for more water, etc. Our salad and pizzas were both very good and consistent with our past experience.
