Olio e Più Ratings and Reviews
Decor is nice and service is good but there is lot of room in between tables. My chair kept getting banged into and my jacket fell off 10 Times. Overpriced for what you get. Ricotta bruschetta was basically just ricotta spread on toasted bread. I️ thought the carbonara was good but everything else was just okay.
The food was pretty good, but not the best value.
With that said, the ambience and the service was fantastic.
It was a really fun, casual, but cozy and nice environment. Great for getting together with friends, date night, girls night out and family time.
The cheese plate & meats plate was just okay, but the salads were delicious and simple and the sea bass was delicious. I did not try the pizza, which they are known for, but it did look good! Pasta is homemade and there were several options to choose from.
I would recommend checking this spot out if in the area! Enjoy!
Went to Olio e Piu for my girlfriend's birthday. On the reservation I mentioned that it was a special occasion and asked if they could accomodate with something that makes the table more romantic like flowers or whatnot. Did not really have any expectations for them to follow through, but when confirming the reservation it was mentioned that the manager would be notified so I was hopeful that something would be there when we arrived. However, that was not the case. Not only were we sat in the middle of the restaurant at a small table near the pathway (so I was bumped a couple times by waiters) there was nothing on the table and no mention of the occasion otherwise. The food was above average, the wine was good, both a little overpriced for what you got, but not unsatisfying. The atmosphere was what I was looking for, it is elegant, but has character so overall the night would've been good. However, I was very disappointed that nothing was done to signify it was a special occasion especially since my request was acknowledged by at least one person at the restaurant (and presumably the manager...). I may come here again, but not for any special occasion, doesn't seem to be something they value.
My girlfriend, Alice, and I had dinner here to celebrate her birthday and we had a wonderful experience! Special shout out to our waitress who brought us a complimentary tiramisu dessert and sang happy birthday! The ambiance, food and drinks was on point and exactly what we were looking for
We used this restaurant for girls night out. The food was OK. I expected more since the reviews were so good. Our waitress didn't even ask us if we wanted desserts and brought the bill right away. We were still talking and drinking but she and others came back to our table over and over to check if we paid. We felt rushed out. We only stayed there for 1.5 hours!!!! What is the rush????!!!!
We booked reservations based on out daughter's recommendation, for she had had a fabulous brunch experience. We were celebrating our dear friend having been sworn in as an attorney and we wanted to reward her on her accomplishment. The host was gracious and allowed us to move to a table against the back wall. The wait staff was friendly and we had a great bottle of wine paired with grilled octopus and fennel salad. The octopus was perfectly cooked and slightly charred, the salad was refreshing. We then ordered individually the Oso Bucco, linguini vingole and the filet mignon. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented on colorful plates. We will definitely return.
If you're a New Yorker, don't get the pizza. The pizza crust was almost flavorless. The pastas were nothing to write home about. Decent wine selection. Very good service. Sat outside and got eaten alive by mosquitoes in the middle of a hot October but isn't that global warming.
The environment is cute and the food was average, however the waitress (who seemed very nice) was clearly trying to turn out table and rushed us out directly after we finished our meals when we clearly had not even finished drinking our wine! She dropped off the check and even came back to check on it while we were still drinking! Seemed very awkward for us to stay longer and we rushed out.
Food was wonderful, beautifuly presented and enjoyable. However our waitress was cold and NOT helpful .We are easy people to wait on . Having worked in food service and I appropriate that it can be difficult but that is not an excuse to be a RUDE ! We will not return.
I was very disappointed with the food. It was bland and flavorless. I ordered the Linguine with Clams and my friend had the Bolognese. Both had zero flavor. Mine tasted like plain noodles sitting in salt water, and hers like something you could get in a Lean Cuisine TV dinner. Thankfully I mentioned that I was dissatisfied and the management team was nice enough to comp the entire dinner. I hope that they were just having an off night, but if you're looking for flavorful Italian food, this isn't the place. Great atmosphere, cool bar, and outdoor seating. Wonderful wine list, and the wait staff was also very kind and accommodating.
