Spaghetti Chitarra alla Carbonara
Prosciutto, black pepper, egg*, parmesan, chili oil
Whipped ricotta, white truffle oil, sea salt
The classic preparation
Very good food, enjoyed the burrata/lemoncello ravioli, pizza and bolognese. Waitress checked in but there was a bit of hovering by service staff so you felt like they were waiting until you got that last bite in your mouth to clear off the plate. A bit annoying. It was a chilly night and even though we chose to eat indoors, it was cold because the restaurant kept all of the doors and windows open. All in all, though, it was a good evening and good meal.
The overall ambience was amazing and the decor was outstanding. The food was also very good, I had the carbonara and my boyfriend has the bolognese. The experience was great, just a few things that were just annoying. The waiter took away our bottle of water and never returned it and it was pretty difficult to flag down a waiter since they were so busy. They also took away our utensils from our appetizer and never brought us new ones with our dish. I just found myself having to ask them several times for things which is so annoying. I also made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday and I wrote that in special requests and there was no attention paid to this. Overall it was very good but if I wanted to have a dining experience where I know I can trust the restaurant to be on top of the ball, I’d probably consider other spots.
Maybe it's the joy of being able to dine with friends again or maybe Olio e Piu is just that good! I think it's both. We had a lovely evening with great food and service and a very pretty atmosphere. I highly recommend the Fusilli Manzo (I think that was the name) but don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes.
Nice service and atmosphere. Besides the pizza, the food was very bad. Veal cutlet overcooked, dry and way too thin the (the opposite of what Milanese cutlet should be). Carbonara pasta way too heavy and salty.
Sat at an open air table right near the sidewalk on a pleasant day. Had a wonderful meal while watching the throngs of New Yorkers pass by. Our waiter (Duk) was pleasant, funny and charming.
Excellent food, service and setting.
“Hi, thank you for dining with us! Please follow along with our social media for updates about our restaurants. We look forward to hosting you again soon🍸
This food have zero flavor and for an Italian restaurant i was very shocked. The pizza was very watery and the pasta had zero flavor as if it was just sprinkled with salt and sent out. The pasta was over boiled and very slimy. I did not think it was going to bed that bad but it was. We then ordered desert and me and my date were appalled at how bad it was. overall the meal was over priced and over hyped on all social media. This is for a specific no flavor having crowd. sorry not sorry as a Hispanic i give it two thumbs way down.
Very good food, ambiance, and severs. A bit tight seating in the age of Corona, but there are plastic barriers indoors.
Thank you Kevin , we are glad you enjoyed with us a Djile serving you again
Food was good but service was horrible. The waiter forgot about my party and I numerous times. We literally had to ask him for everything from water to the check for our meal. As expensive as this place is, I expected better service.
Excellent food. Great cocktails, though expensive.
Hi Dylon , thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
Great atmosphere and yummy food. Highly recommended. The diavolo pizza had the right amount of kick to it.
Meat and cheese board - prosciutto, burrata, pecorino
Bruschetta - with ricotta and truffle oil
Everything was delicious and perfect environment was great would deff go back!
Hi, thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
Good Italian food and good wine list. With restaurants at 50% capacity it seemed they were at 110% capacity, very very busy. Overall great place in a perfect West Village location
Hi Nick ,thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
Everything great; carbonara is a must!
Been riding by this restaurant for years and never been never heard but its always bustling. I live in Tribeca not quite the same hood but my village pal was annoyed when I said I booked a table here, saying its a tourist trap. Well it is so not that! Firstly, my fettuccine with shaved blacks truffles was perhaps the most delicious I have ever had, with delicate noodles and a generous serving of truffles, expensive but not overpriced! My friend’s Bolognese was equally good but thats not as unusual. Great thought and creativity has gone into the outside eating arrangement, its very charming, though some tables are a bit close together if you have not been vaccinated. The service was friendly and as attentive as possible given how dispersed the tables are.
the only reason for the ambience/sound rating of 3 was because they were doing construction the last time we were there. we've eaten there MANY times and this has never been a problem. so don't let that dissuade from dining there.
Had early evening cocktails and appetizers. Lovely setting, welcoming service, great food and drinks all fine. Will return for dinner.
Hi , thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
Wonderful Easter brunch. The seafood pasta is Divine!
Hi we are so glad to hear you loved our seafood pasta we agree, it is delicious. We hope to have you back in soon!
Excellent server, appropriately attentive. Nice choices of brunch food & well-prepared (except for over-charred bread)
Thank you Cookie be hope serving you soon again!
The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing, and the service was even better. Suzana gave us great suggestions, as it was our first time, and made sure that we had the best experience possible. I will definitely be back!
Thank you for your lovely feedback . We old serving you again soon.
I love this place! Everything is great and the best thing about the restaurant is staff people there!!
Hi Emi thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
Absolutely great service, delicious food, covid precautions in place, very welcoming. A little pricey but left satisfied so no complaints and would definitely revisit!
Could not envision a better restaurant to have our first dining experience in months. Highly recommended, fabulous food, great staff. Our new favorite restaurant
We requested outdoor seating and when we checked in, the hostess said “is indoor fine?” When we responded we were uncomfortable since the indoors were PACKED (definitely not socially distanced) the hostess rolled her eyes and put us at a table that was “outdoors” but was still inside just by the door. When we told her it was still indoors she said the ventilation was good because there were windows, but none of the windows were open. She was visibly annoyed so we took the seats despite it being in a very busy area with a ton of foot traffic, which gave us even greater exposure to possibly contracting COVID on top of it being super jam-packed. We ultimately felt like we couldn’t enjoy our dinner and left. The hostess had a terrible attitude — I can’t even imagine how someone who is immunocompromised would feel in that situation. Terrible service. If we requested outdoor in our reservation and we’re put indoors, don’t try to make us feel like we’re causing a fuss when you didn’t deliver on what we were promised.
Mostly great food. I would have liked a little more anchovy in the caesar salad dressing. Husband had linguine with clams and I had the black ink risotto (tasted just as I remembered it from Italy), washed down with a bottle of the Sicilian red. For dessert we had the calzone, which was surprisingly light and delicious. The weather was a bit cool and we were in one of the diagonal outdoor seating areas, so needed to keep our jackets on. And it was surprising noisy (perhaps we were just seated downwind of a very talkative couple)!
The food is wonderful as is the service. Indoors or outside , the surroundings are great. It is becoming one of my go to places on the west side of Manhattan, especially during the NYC's current environment.
Our experience was absolutely delightful! Beautiful atmosphere and the food was amazing. Our waiter was professional and helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely exceeded our expectations! We can’t wait to come again and introduce our friends and family to Olio e Più. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
Thank you very much for this beautiful review and we hope serving you again with your family soon!🍕
What a time
“Hello, thank you so much for your glowing review! We look forward to hosting you again soon.” 🍔
Love the social scene there. Seating was quick and accommodating.
Hi SAS , Thank you for this glowing review.
Food was fabulous and the people working there treated us like gold.
Hi Lennie, thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back in soon.” 🍴🍔
As always, the staff, ambiance everything was to the point. However a little disappointed that they didn’t have a lot of options for vegetarian as they had pre-covid.
Great food. Waiter not really on top of it but everything else made up for his lack of professionalism. Would definitely go back and recommend.
Not following Covid safety distancing rules in the bulk of their outdoor/enclosed space. They kindly let us sit on a high top on the sidewalk, not in their enclosure, but disappointing to see them pack folks in like that.
This was a first date and the staff was great. They didn't rush us, they read the body language of when we ready to order, finish and take the check. Sat near open windows and the ventilation was great. Doing all the right things.
Waiter was great
Didn’t love outdoor seating but it was a last minute res
Nicely appointed during Covid. Custom made dividers. Built an entire wooden canopy to extend outdoor dining. Food is great as usual.
I went for my birthday with a few friends Sunday night. The cocktails were phenomenal (highly recommend the Giardino) and our appetizers were incredible. We ordered the Bruschetta Ricotta with truffle oil and the Mozzarella di Bufala with figs and absolutely loved them. The Fettucini Tortufo was stellar and I’ll likely be dreaming about it for weeks to come. They sent us a delicious Tiramisu which was so kind and perfect. Our server was so lovely and the decor and ambiance was stunning. Looking forward to making this a go to when I dine in the city. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, you all absolutely killed it <3
Amazing food, and service. I loved the aesthetic of the restaurant.
The brunch was fantastic! Great service and awesome ambiance!
