This has been one of our favorite restaurants when we visit Santa Barbara. It is consistently delicious and the service is very good. We recommend it to all our friends and family and all that have followed our advice have become fans.
Fantastic food, great wine selection, excellent service.
lovely as always - great food!! good service, the pastas are all homemade!
A bit quiet and awkward when we first got there. But then the place filled up and it was nice. The bread and olive oil was amazing. I didn’t care for my meal so much but my husband and son’s meals were fantastic. Their desserts were fantastic as well. Great service and location.
Another great meal from Olio e Limone the food was excellent
The problem with the evening was sort of our own making, as we chose a table in the backroom, which had been opened due to business.
It really was not very attractive and the waitperson for the room was not around for about 15 minutes.
Had we chosen a table in the front, I have no doubt that the evening would have been a better experience.
Can’t beat the food there, though.
Fist time at this establishment and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was very cozy not overly noisy and well decorated.
The reservation was made at 06:30pm and we sat right down at our table. The waiter was at our table within 2minutes and was extremely friendly. The menu was extensive but not overboard and had a great variety of dish's.
The Salmon was a special that night and it was delicious! Everyone was happy with their food for the evening.
Had friends in town. We usually choose a different restaurant every time they visit. After our Dinning experience, they only want to go there for now on . They loved it that much! The service, the menu, the ambiance and personal attention , makes for a perfect evening.
We also love their Pizzeria next store! Same great service, food and charm. It’s delicious’!
😊
We have eaten there for many years, and have always had good food. Easter Sunday this year was quiet, and one of the best meals ever. I can't wait to go back.
Overrated on yelp! All four entrees- pasta, chicken, pork too too too Salty!!!
Never going back. Pasta undercooked aldente taken to the tenth!!! Pricey for mediocre food!!!
Chef is from Sicily. Great variety. Several fresh fish plates, lots of pasta. Tasty authentic. Best wait staff in town. Comfortable and classy. Top wine list.
Excellent atmosphere and great food. Highly recommend it.
Great spot for special celebration or just good Italian food. Pricey but quality is excellent.
This might be my favorite Santa Barbara restaurant. While not cheap, it is a good value and every meal I have had there has been flavorful and interesting. Thank you!
Pleasant evening with good food.
Oustanding food and service. We invariably come here on special occasions.
Great meal, real Italian kitchen. We will reserve once again in the near future.
Easily one of the best evenings we have had at this restaurant.
We have rarely felt so completely satisfied after a meal.
Had a great time. Wonderful food and great wine list. Ate and drank and talked for 3 hours and never felt rushed or like we needed to move on at any time. Lovely place to just have a great meal and talk with friends.
The food and ambiance were excellent but the server was not friendly, not solicitous and afforded our pleasure even tho we’d told him it was a special occasion.
We love dining out and having a great meal
But this was exceptional!
Would highly recommend this restaurant everything about our experience was great!
Great food and wonderful service. Had the beef tenderloin, tricolor salad, and topped it off with creme brûlée....delicious!
Always our first "go to" restaurant when in the mood for real italian food, great wine, great service and time to linger for an occasion. favorite spot in santa barbara. the duck raviolis are incredible
It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend it highly!

Great dining. Have a drink at the bar first, great ambiance.
Delicious as usual, enjoy dining here whenever we come to Santa Barbara and so glad you’re on Open Table to remind us🦋
It took a little time to get seated even though we had reservations. The staff is casually slow in our busy world. Actually I think that's a good thing.
Great food, very crowded. Tables jammed in. A little difficulty understanding and hearing the waiter as Resturant very crowded with tables to close.
My first visit, so enjoyed the meal. Not so much the ambiance.
Dan is an extraordinary server! Knowledgeable, friendly and professional, he made for a satisfying dining experience. We’ll be back soon!
Very nice. Food great service great. Expensive
My sisters and I were looking for a good Italian restaurant and chose Olio e Limone because it looked authentic. It definitely was. I lived in Italy for a year and have a hard time finding good, authentic Italian food. Alberto and his restaurant delivered and then some. All the staff were friendly and engaging. A lovely wine list and amazing desserts. Our waiter, Ublado, was helpful and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Go eat at Olio e Limone!
Loved coming back to Olio for Dinner, except that our waiter seemed a little disinterested in his job.
Absolutely one of our favorites in Santa Barbara. Our third visit and they didn’t disappoint. One of the best Dover Sole’s that I’ve ever had any where. Lovely restaurant and very traditional Italian gentlemen servers. It’s a wonderful experience. For a lighter choice make sure to dine at their pizzeria next door. The best Neapolitan style pizza we’ve ever had. The chef owner has it all mastered at Olio!
All was good as usual but our waiter was fairly dismissive, not particularly kind.
While I’ve had other excellent meals at this restaurant, this was a disappointing trip. I don’t think I’ve ever had tougher chicken anywhere—and I’ve been to plenty of banquets! The roast chicken was roasted black and the meat, even the leg meat, was dry and very chewy. I’ll wait awhile before returning!
Excellent Italian food. Artichoke soup was so delicious. All food was flavorful, fresh and served hot. Very good wine list.
This place is normally one of our favorites but should be avoided on V day. It was crowded, super noisy, the service was poor and the meal was overpriced. But I guess we should expect this on such a holiday.
We were there on Valentines with a fixed menu. Although what we received was delicious, I also felt it was quite overpriced. Because it was Valentines I wish they had made a little more effort to make the atmosphere romantic. Decor maybe? Free glass of champagne? I had pre requested a "Quiet table" however was given a seat right by the front door which kept being thrown open with cold air pouring in and people standing around waiting for the hostess to get to them. Service was good. It's a nice spot but they could try just a bit harder to make it more special.
Decent Italian restaurant which did not have either of the wines we wanted although on their wine list. Food was good but not exceptional, service seemed tired or bored.
I suspect there are other better Italian restaurants to try.
Won’t go back not because anything was wrong just because there are so many other places to try
We had a great time here. The food was awesome and the WAITER was really good and on top of things. He knew the menu front to back and took really good care of us.
Absolutely excellent food and service!!! I would suggest making a reservation as the place is very quaint. You will love the food and ambiance when you go.
