Food was pretty good , not great.
Parking is a problem.
I enjoyed everything about the experience other than the level of noise from vehicles and the train which is across the street. It was still an amazing meal and the people are amazing.
Very consistant; professional; excellent food and variety; nice location
Outstanding restaurant, with great food and great service was attentive and fast and the food was top quality. I had the shrimp curry and chocolate cake both were exceptional.
Even though there were several mixed reviews on Olio, we decided to try it and are very glad we did. From the moment we arrived everything was seamless. The bar staff was attentive while we enjoyed a happy hour cocktail before being seated outside. The waiter, Danny, immediately came over freshening our drinks and delivering delicious warm and crusty bread with herbed olive oil. We then enjoyed a lumb crab appetizer which was large and very fresh. The mustard sauce was a perfect combination. Then we had the arugula salad with goat cheese. The portion was generous, seasoned perfectly and the dressing was light and not overdone. For entrees we had the seafood linguine and the just delivered scallops recommended by Danny. I will definitely go back to Olio again soon.
Out waiter Peter was top notch, very personable & professional. The service was great & the food fresh & awesome! Great mojitos too!! Bravo!
Service was great. Food excellent and great ambiance.
Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations, even though the overall ratings were at 'fours.' The waiter said the clams were short-neck from Long Island, they were not, they were manila clams. The guest actually became sick and it was assumed, from the clams. The the veal piccata was breaded (yikes) and rather tasteless. The aglio e olio was okay, but was missing the red pepper flakes....not usually served with meat balls. The only selection that was fairly good was the shrimp pappardelle. The desserts were tasty. The table rocked....and we had to wedge it. Wine selections are rather notable, but the food really is not.
Hope we hit it on an "off" night. Service was very friendly, however, with restaurant less than half-full, we waited nearly 90 minutes for entrées! Our server said several tables were seated close together, but that's something a good restaurant avoids by not taking reservations so close together that they swamp the kitchen. By the time food arrived, we were on the verge or walking out and the evening was already spoiled. No offer to adjust the bill, or comp a salad, etc. was offered. Not that I wanted it in particular, but it would have gone a long way to bettering a bad situation. As a result, I would not return.
Wonderful from the beginning to the end specially captain Peter love the onion soup, escargot the best I ever had and veal was perfect I will be back
I eat here often but on this night we had a terrible experience. The service was awful, EXTREMELY slow. We had to ask for water numerous times. I was very embarrassed as I had recommended the restaurant and it turned out to be a terrible experience as we had to wait too long for our food. Also, they allow smokers on the patio, where we were sitting and that was unpleasant as well. So disappointing.
The service was absolutely atrocious and the food took an hour and 40 minutes to arrive from the time we ordered.
We had our office holiday party here in December and everything was great. I’m really surprised that things have slipped so far for this restaurant in such a short period of time.
The fact that they did not offer to comp anything after such a disaster of waiting is beyond me!
Service was VERY slow!!
Right after I booked this place for dinner and invited friends, I clicked on some customer reviews and they were mostly negative. It was too late for me to cancel so I figured it would be OK since my husband was harping on about wanting to go there. The food way over-priced. They gave us gobs of kale salad and my entree barely had three shrimp in it. The other people said they liked the food, but they didn't eat much, so I have reason to believe otherwise. Our bill was over $280 for 4 people. Sure, some times we like to spurge, but I would highly recommend going somewhere else. The only thing which was in our favor was that there were few people dining and the noise level was low. On a separate note, our waited was totally fake trying to impress us with his Italian accent. It came across as insincere and he was rather theatrical.
Great food sat outside Trains went by. Ambulance went by. A little noisy in an otherwise great night
One world fabulous great happy hours! Escargot great and baby back ribs cooked perfect.
Excellent food well prepared a block off Atlantic Avenue. Quiet outside patio dining. Appetizers and main courses all were delicious as was the fresh bread.
Everything was the best as in the past. Just great Service/Food Love the way they remodeled the restaurant.
Great food and service. Nice selection of wines. The patio was great. Al-in-all a wonderful night!
It was great food and service was wonderful
I always love this restaurant. My food was most excellent. I did choose to sit outside which was my only issue. Too many trains went by. However, it didn't spoil the dinner. For me, I will eat inside next time.
The Best Food ! I️ loved that all the servers wore big smiles
Food and service was so nice. Our waiter was very attentive. We will return
Great food. Rustic modern design best burger I ever had with glass of goldeneye Pinot noir excellent chocolate cake and creamy espresso like in Italy I will be back
Absolutely love this place. Went to Olio with friends and family and had a great time! Started with shrimp cocktail, dumplings, and caprese salad - all amazing. I had the seared tuna, and HIGHLY recommend it. Every employee that passed us was friendly and happy, as always. We opened some wine and had cocktails as well. Stayed on the outdoor patio a while, and will definitely continue to come here.
Server was great .. $45 dollar
Steak that was ordered Rare came out Med Well.. very disappointing ...
Ate at the bar and enjoyed a great happy hour before dinner. Fantastic.
The food was fabulous but took a long time to come out of the kitchen. Inside was very loud but outside on the patio was a lovely place for a leisurely date night dinner. It’s off the ave so it’s a little calmer and there’s not a million people walking by. Our server Michael was FABULOUS and really made the night great.
Noise level required shouting across the table which wobbled all night!
The noise was deafening. Could not hear my table mate. Calamari cold. Rise with duck cold Table crowded. Noise was beyond description
Second time here & second chance was no better. We chalked the first try to underwhelming but worth a redo, but this was not the redemption we hoped for.
The place is crowded, no way around it. You’re flanked with other patrons on every side in cramped tables. The service is overbearing & unresponsive. And the dinning room is so loud that we couldn’t carry a normal conversation.
The food was okay, with the scallops being a hit, but the escargot being over cooked and the veal dish being mushy. Can’t comment on dessert because the waiter was seemingly trying to evacuate tables & abruptly dropped the check as dinner plates were cleared
Overall, I’m certain we won’t try again. It’s a shame as this place should be great.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for the hearing impaired. The noise level was not energetic it was torturous. That said, the food was okay, could have been great but who would know when they add about 10 more tables than the room should hold, and not one sound absorbing architectural feature in the whole place. Waiters bumped me about 100 times. Couldn't wait to get out of this place. Not going back, except maybe on a Monday in August when Delray Beach is deserted.
Noise was over the top, couldn't hear any of the conversation. Food was poor, over done and cool. Never going back.
Waiter didn’t seem experienced enough. My seared tuna was prepared earlier in the day and refrigerated, ice cold! Not what I would expect from a $30 plate!
Great little spot. Has parking in the back if you can get there before it’s all gone. Limited menu but good food.
The duck is fantastic
Wait staff was great ... I was a bit upset when my dish was served there were only 3 shrimp .. it was an expansive dish ... our waiter was great and took care of it ... with a smile !!
It was delicious!! I will go back again!
Although the food was very good, I'm not sure I would return. The noise level was so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. We found that to be very annoying. I was disappointed because the food really was delicious. I guess if the weather was ok we could always sit outside. I'm assuming that would be better. There's seating at the bar as well but I don't like to eat at the bar.
Love the decor, wait staff is great, and the roast duck is wonderful. Just really noisy.......
I was totally impressed! The service was outstanding , and the food was superior. This is one of the best restaurants in Delray Beach, and I will be back with friends and recommend it to my friends. It had innovative small plates and fabulous fish.
