We love dining there and the food never disappoints!
We have had many wonderful meals at O'Leary's for special occasions and just for a weeknight treat. Excellent wine list and the meals are always special. The staff is warm, friendly and accommodating.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 different seafood dinners. There were no appealing appetizers, it was all seafood. And if you don’t want mussels or clams etc. not much to choose. Service was professional and we would go back. Wish it didn’t always cost $100 for 2 no matter where we go - 2 drinks, 2 entrees and 2 coffees.
We were on a date and the atmosphere was just what I expected. The service was excellent and the people were really nice. I will be dining at O'Leary's again.
Food and service were outstanding. A bit expensive but well worth it. The only drawback - the space is small, a bit crowded and a bit noisy. That drawback notwithstanding, I recommend highly. We had Red Snapper, Salmon and Shrimp and Grits - all were exceptionally good and exceptionally well presented.
Awsome food great service shrimp and grits and the oysters were crazy good
We (unknowingly) went during restaurant week; some from our party ordered off of the restaurant week, and others did not. The scallop appetizer was wonderful, as was the tuna tartar. The crabcake was a bit bland (missing some chesapeake bay flavor), but the rockfish was wonderful. Small, tight restaurant, can get very noisy.
Superb from start to finish!
Many promise you the finest crabcakes, but O'Leary's delivers! Although, really, you cannot go wrong with whatever you order. It's pretty expensive, especially if you add wine to your meal, but it's our favorite special occasion restaurant in Annapolis, and for a special occasion it's totally worth it.
A friend and I enjoyed dinner here during Restaurant Week. We had reservations and our table was ready on arrival. The acoustics could be improved but otherwise the ambiance enhanced our experience. Our meals were both excellent and a good value given the prix fixe menu this week. Our server was truly lovely and served dessert with lit candles having observed a gift on the table. The only issue was the length of time we had to wait for each course. In another scenario, perhaps it would not have been an issue but my friend had an early appointment in the morning and we ended up rushing through dessert because each course took so long to arrive. Overall, though, I would highly recommend this neighborhood gem.
During Annapolis Restaurant week, I try to find a new location that controls my spending and lets me see different ways to present meals. This is a perfect find - has a "return to the scene" feel, with a great menu and excellent staff.
We have eaten here on many occasions and enjoyed our dinners. Restaurant week dinner was a real let down. The appetizers and entrees were not up to their standards by a long shot. The only bright light was my husband’s bread pudding. Outstanding!
Regular customers. Always a great place to spend an evening where service is not rushed, food is consistent and high quality....
What a gem this place was! Everything surpassed my expectations. I'll definitely come back again.
We went for restaurant week. The food was amazing along with the cocktails! I always go for there crab cakes. I was slightly disappointed with the server and the reason 2 stars for service. Right when we got are desert she left the check as well. Didn't bother asking if we wanted another drink or anything else. We felt rushed. We planned on having another glass of wine but since she left the check and didn't bother asking we got the idea she wanted to go home. They close at 9 pm and it was about 8:45 pm. Definitely killed the mood. I personally wasn't feeling the payment method either. How they swipe your card in front of you. The whole transaction was awkward.
My favorite Annapolis restaurant!! Took some coworkers for restaurant week that had never been. Everyone loved their meal!! Bread pudding was PHENOMENAL!!
Having been to O’Learys several times over the last several years, this was somewhat disappointing . Although our server was excellent, the food was not. We both ordered the Rockfish and we both thought it had a strong and unpleasant fishy taste. The desserts were also just average. The tiramisu was tasty but very mushy. My Cosmo was excellent and my husband thought the beer was very good. And again, our server was excellent.
Very expensive with small portions; however the food and service are consistently excellent. It's a perfect restaurant for a special occasion.
Everything was great, apples I. Bread pudding were undercooked
This was our first time eating at O’leary’s and we will be back. Everything about the experience was fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet spot for brunch, with amazing food, this is your place.
Small bar area is the only downside; otherwise great cocktails.
Had not been to O'Leary's in years, but was very impressed with the current menu and staffing. Dmitri was our server and he was terrific. It was a weeknight so was not too crowded, but ambiance was great. It might be noisier on a weekend. Food and wine were terrific but rather pricey. Great for a special occasion when you might not mind splurging, but if you are being cost-conscious, this might not be the place for you.
Upside was the tuna/crab tartar appetizer. Lobster/risotto special was delicious but size of lobster was not impressive. Salt shaker was empty
Very pleasant evening on a night the weather did not cooperate.
Lovely time. Always enjoy this restaurant!!
Never disappointed. Definitely one of favorite Annapolis restaurants
The food was disappointing. The crab bisque had little crab or crab flavor and tasted like a creamy stick of butter.
The snapper was coated with something before it was pan seared so it tasted more like “fried” fish. The vegetables were fresh and the crab cakes were very good but not the best ever as promoted.
This was our first time dining at O’Leary’s and I have to seat this was some of the best seafood I have eaten in this area. We will be coming back again.
Went for Valentine’s Day. First time dining experience and absolutely loved it. Great food, great service and a very nice atmosphere.
The customer service was fantastic!!!!! The food was great!!! The bartender was super friendly. Our server, Dimitri was excellent!!!! Will definitely be a monthly date for my wife and I!
The food and service were especially fantastic! Our only small complaint was the noise level. Have never felt that way during other visits. Perhaps it was where we were seated. Menu was so creative and fresh! Will definitely be back!
Came here for valentines dinner. We absolutely loved it. Great service, great atmosphere.
Service was terrific and we have been many times before with exceptional food. Prior to describing my dinner, my husbands crab cakes were very good. I ordered the crispy fried rockfish. I should have asked for a detailed explanation as I was expecting a nice fillet, fried with a crispy exterior and soft moist interior. I received, and the best analogy I can think of, is McDonald chicken nuggets. They were heavily breaded, fried, not very warm, and soft, not crispy. The meat was very gamey / fishy tasting. They were warm to cold. I would assume they were frozen and baked on a cookie sheet. The server did provide a free desert, but for a 30-some dollar entree, I would expect better, especially from OLearys.
I had the seared salmon. It was one of the most tasty dishes I remember ever having had. We started the meal with crispy fried calamari, outstanding. My wife had diver scolloops which she said were delicious. We were too full to have desert so we bought Chocolate banana bread putting which have had before and like. The waitress was very helpful. I would rate the meal 12 on a scale 1 to 10.
My girlfriend and I went for an early Valentine’s Day dinner for both of our first times here. We were blown away! Beautiful artwork, great atmosphere, incredibly polite staff, and amazing food. We arrived 15 minutes early from the reservation while they were fairly busy; the host himself went and bussed our table immediately while we briefly waited at the bar. Within seconds of waiting the bartender already asked if we wanted drinks and ensured we were taken care of. Once seated, the waitress came by with waters and bread, elegantly described the day’s specials, and took our orders. We ate the crab bisque, diver’s scallops, salmon, crab cakes, and a chocolate dessert, all of which were incredible with the wine our waitress recommended. Overall, the staff and ambiance was excellent, and the food was incredible, if a bit expensive, though the quality was impeccable.
Excellent service, very good food, and a unique atmosphere. pricey, but worth it for a special occasion
Celebrating an early Valentines Day. Wonderful meal and service. Looking forward to dining here again!
I don't ever leave feedback but O'Learys was so good that they deserve a review. I had the whole
Delicious cozy restaurant. Celebrating an early Valentines dinner and craving seafood. We chose O’Learys. Also, it has been on my hit list for restaurants to try when we’re alone. We shared the grilled oysters, which were highly recommended. My husband ordered the crab cakes and I ordered the the pan seared Diver scallops. Every thing was delicious. I’m so glad we went before the holiday rush. Parking on site was a HUGE plus since it was a night out.
Made reservations for a Thursday night but didn’t need them. Lots of selection on the menu for seafood lovers and choices for landlubbers as well. Lots of flavor, good portions and wonderful service. Will be back
