Ole Tapas Lounge & Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
1st time there. Friday night. Nice music and easy to have a conversation. Great waiter Jack. Said they have dancers & live music on Saturdays. We had many Tapas. The food was delicious! The pan de yucca was SO good! Takes 20 minutes so we ordered that the minute we sat down. Had calamari, salmon, scallops, beets, & platinos - the sweet plantains. A little pricey, but delicious!!!
A repeat visit to one of our favorites. The Sunday all-you-can-eat paella special is a terrific value ... great food and great price. The pitcher of sangria was a disappointingly high price point when compared to wine or other choices but overall the Sunday special offers a really good bargain for really good food.
Our server, Nicole, was amazing! She was knowledgeable about the menu, great with conversation, and paced the meal perfectly.
The paella is awesome!
Only downside is we were seated at a table with a broken sconce, so the light was right in our faces. The hostess kindly asked if we'd like to sit elsewhere, so we did.
Olé Tapas Lounge and Restaurant was a fantastic dining experience! I had been there previously for school trips, but to actually go there during restaurant hours and dine there was a great experience. Myself along with the party that I was with all enjoyed the food and the drinks that the restaurant served, especially the paella. The paella was excellent and the tapas that came before them were just as good. All of the food left you full and satisfied at the end of the meal. Also, the sangria was delicious. The service was great and both our waiter and the cook were very attentive to what we needed and how we were liking the food. Overall, a very good dining experience and a restaurant that I would recommend to others looking for a new and unique place to go dine.
The food and service was amazing. We ordered mostly off the Tapas menu which did not disappoint. We also order the Chef's choice which included 4 desserts for the cost of 3. All were amazing. Definitely will be back. Don't let the nondescript outside fool you; this is a gem of an atmosphere.
We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The server was very helpful on making suggestions, and was very attentive. The Tapas were really good. All three of us ordered a different one and then we shared which made it even more fun. I would definitely go back when in the area visiting with my daughter.
Outstanding Spanish & South American style food. Ask for the genuine Spanish exotic delights that aren't on the menu. Sensational Cochinillo (roast suckling pig) - a Spanish culinary tradition! Kudos to Mia for consistently dependable and amiable service. The owner, Manuel, bends over backwards to accommodate his guests.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and staff is friendly. The main entree I had was 3 scallops with loads of beans. Went on a Saturday night and it was extremely noisy. We couldn't hear the waitress. There were 8 in our party. Eastchester couple's came out at different times. I got my main meal before the tapas. Very chaotic.
Ole' Tapas is one of those restaurants that always delivers. Quality and innovative food especially if you're a fan of Tapas. Great way to share plates and at the same time experience diverse and tasty food offerings. Great service only adds to the great dining experience. Our server had waited on in the past and again did an excellent job. It also rewarding to find a restaurant that not only reads your open table requests but follows them to a tee.
Normally this is a staple dining choice for us. Last night was not a good experience. We (a couple of 2) were seated at a 6-top round table in the very back corner, told by the host it was the last table. We had an Open Table reservation. The server did not greet us for 15 minutes. We ordered wine and olives. The wine arrived, the olives never did. We ordered our dishes...and waited 30 minutes. Still no olives. I asked another server to check-he was clearly annoyed and never came back. Our server was young and inexperienced. He needed help, but chose to leave the poor service elephant at our table rather than to get help. If he'd just acknowledged his challenges to us-we are very laid back and would support his efforts. Nope. Nothing. The tenderloin was mangled-it was not a solid piece of meat, someone in the kitchen beat something else, I'm guessing sirloin with the amount of fat present. Everything else, food wise, was fantastic. We finally got the olives with everything else (but the small bowl had 5 garlic heads-this is too many, we ordered olives not garlic). They were awesome as always, just meager in number, and we had hoped to enjoy them with the wine as an appetizer. The manager, and/or owner must have been away...so disappointed.
