We made a reservation that was confirmed and upon arrival, were told that they decided to close early despite walking past a few signs outside and in windows that indicated WE'RE OPEN. If you are planning to close early, lock the door, then off the signs and don't confirm reservations online. I won't go back here again, thanks anyway.
Hi there, We are so sorry to hear about the inconvenience that might have caused. I spoke with my manager. He does not recall any late reservation and returning back any customer. I checked our reservation portal and the last reservation that we had on 12/30 was on 7:45 pm. There might have been some misunderstanding. Did you make a reservation through open table? Please let us know about the reservation and I will get back to you. We will do our best that we could do for your next visit.
great place for family on holiday meal. quiet, safe and secure - clean and social distancing was very apparent. Great guacamole for starters made right at your table.
Amazing Mexican food - very safe and secure with social distancing. We are from the west coast visiting and the food was amazing, very fresh and tasty! Love the waiter - he was the BEST!
The food here is so delicious! And the service was so friendly!
We visited in November 2020 and ate outside. Their back patio seating is in a parking lot so it's not on a street and is fairly quiet. They have a really nice setup and even have heaters. The service was great and they have excellent margaritas!
Im upset that my ceviche had a piece of uncooked fish. Yes I know it’s uncooked but they gave a fish smelly ceviche. I’m Mexican I know how it’s supposed to be. The fish is suppose to be soaked with lemon juice for 30min for a small portion. But I guess they don’t know that process. Makes me upset that employees aren’t doing there job correctly.
Loved this place! Very casual, but very fun and great food. They did a great job making us comfortable eating inside. The food was BANGIN and the drinks were great too. I am excited to return again!
Thank you for dinning with us. We appreciate your love and support. Can't wait to serve you again.
Great food! Limited drink menu
It was quite cold outside and they didn’t have heat lamps. Our server was super sweet, however she had difficulty with the cart to do table side guacamole. She wasn’t able to push it down the ramp and I felt bad see her struggle. Maybe something to consider if outdoor seating continues so employees aren’t left trying to push that heavy cart around. The drinks were really good but it was so cold that we wanted to leave. Silver lining (due to Charlie Baker passing the law for diners at restaurants to order food with drinks) we ordered the chicken taquitos and thought they were delicious! I wish we could have stayed longer or brought a blanket to stay warm.
Absolutely delicious and very cute. Table-side guac and chimichurri tacos were a stand out
The food and drinks were great and reasonably priced for the city, loved sitting outside and good music. Good spot for a casual date or dinner with friends.
The new manager made us feel right at home. Treated us like old friends.
We tried Olé a few times many years ago and were underwhelmed. The new owners have really improved the menu and ambience.
Great experience!
Service was extremely slow. They got my order wrong 2 times. So I had to eat my meal in pieces.
There were some issues due to the restaurant being extremely busy, but I am going to try this place out again.
Great food, cozy environment. We got a table right by the window which was a perfect spot. Ambience is very cozy. The complimentary chips and salsa were good to start and the fresh guacamole is a must have. In the other reviews, I read that they make it right at the table fresh and I saw that happening at other table but it dint happen to mine. The guacamole, though was really fresh and topped with lemon juice. The food was great and well served. Quantity of food was quite enough. Prices are on a little higher side. Overall a perfect place for your Mexican tastebuds.
My boyfriend and I went for a Valentines dinner and it was amazing. The table side guac, the margs, the steak tacos, and the chocolate cupcake dessert... all unbelievable. Will definitely be coming back!
I have been going to Ole for at least 15 years but much less frequently in recent years. It used to be a very special place for magical meals. Maybe it has changed ownership but it is no longer gourmet Mexican. Plus, we were seated in the back, even with reservations. I have never eaten in that room before. I always thought it was just used as a function room. It was really depressing with grey lighting and alternating freezing and hot air blowing on me. I think I’m done with Ole. How disappointing.
Attentive staff. Food came out quickly. Great food.
Staff was friendly although the food (still) feels very average for the price paid. Guacamole was made unenthusiastically table side and to me, lacked salt and garlic (essential). Margarita was apparently made to spec (tequila lime Cointreau only) but was very watered down. Entrees were well plated and tasty; expensive by Arizona standards, but effectively the same as past dining experiences here; not pleasantly shocked or surprised but not a disappointment. I did find it surprise they served my wife’s dish separately from mine, and also let it sit at the table for 5-8 mins while she was not at the table and was in the restroom. I’ll never understand restaurants that do this (take a hint from the French in service). At around $100 for two, and very average cocktail and guacamole at $13 each, it’s simply overpriced. Had I paid $60 all in, I’d be quite happy with the value to price.
The wait staff didn’t acknowledge us on the way out; I saw staff (manager even?) sitting at the bar on their phones as we left on a quiet Sunday. They didn’t seem to mind us leaving and we didn’t mind wrapping up our evening either. Ole hasn’t changed much in 20 years, so about every five or so I check back in for a surprise. Nothing new yet for 2020.
Great food and service! Would love if they could try to add more vegetarian options!
Other than the aggressive pricing, this place really shined: very tasty food and friendly service.
Slow service. Food was fine but value was not there for the price
Good tableside guac. Very attentive service. Enchiladas carnitas were fabulous.
Our waiter,Juan, was great. We requested the back room because of noise in the front and the only problem was that it was freezing cold. The only heat seems to be a gas fire place. People wore coats and hats through dinner.
Ole is a great place for delicious Mexican food, take out of the full dining in experience. The drinks are great too!
Ole' was amazing! I hadn't been there for a couple of years. All the food was so delicious! Not your average basic Mexican food, all the dishes are dressed up. Best plantains ever. Best lemonade ever. Great atmosphere, casual vibe, and great service.
We went for my wife's birthday and it was great! The food was delicious as always, and our waiter Juan even donned a sombrero and sang a mariachi birthday song (to my wife who was also given a sombrero to wear). Ole is always so good we will be back soon.
Very nice place when good food.
Friend needing support
They forgot about our reservation but the food was good and they were quick to get us a table.
I made a reservation for 20 people on a Tuesday night. They let us use the backroom (at no extra charge) and decorate with a few balloons. The food, drinks and service were excellent. I highly recommend for large groups. Thank you!
Lovely food, wonderful staff, very reasonably priced
The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. The margarita pitcher was a bit of a rip off because it was mostly full of ice.
The food was fantastic!
A great place for a group. A lot of space, a fairly casual atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and handled our large group very well. They have a large menu with options for lots of dietary restrictions.
Staff was very nice and professional. Our waitress was great, especially considering our large party. Food was fantastic, as always. If I had to come up with a negative, it would be that the music was a little loud, but in their defense, we did not ask them to turn it down.
Great service and good food.. The staff was very hospitable and flexible.. We had a big group and they let us get seated without everyone there. A few people cancelled at the last minute and the staff there were very nice and readjusted our seating arrangement without any issues. Love Ole' and would go there again!
We came back to Ole after moving out of town 5 years ago and were disappointed to find that the food quality went down. The charm and quality isn’t the same since Chef Ramos left
Ole was amazing. I loved the service we got for my girlfriends birthday and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for small groups or large. Very accommodating!
