We had a dinner with 8 colleagues from 6 different countries and everyone was delighted with the food, the drinks and the service! It's a bit loud so we had to use our "outside" voices but worth it for the wonderful dining experience!

We ate outside and it wasn't crowded, so basically no noise. The Shrimp Tacos, enchilatas mole, and chicken tacos were just excellent and service perfect.

The waitstaff seemed annoyed by our presence - no warm welcome. When we asked to sit out of the sun because my 73 friend needed that, we were met with an annoyed demeanor. The legumbres enchilada was just OK, no strong flavors - everything was passable but bland, including the table side guac. I had high hopes for Ole but get let down overall.

Went for a birthday dinner and the food was delicious. Very attentive with chips, salsa, and water. The place is very busy with takeout also. They let us bring our own cake, and the birthday boy was handed a sombrero to wear during the birthday song. Fun night.

So sad, used to love this place. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted the table side guac- of course! Except they didn’t prepare it tableside, just brought a bowl of over salted guacamole. Probably can’t do tableside due to COVID but why ask if we wanted it?? Food came to the table in lightening speed- but mine was cold - and it was not a dish meant to be served room temp. Only explanation is food was made in advance and poorly reheated? Someone decided to mop the floor near us so we got to smell gross mop water while eating. The decor has become shabby and kitschy. Sad to say this was our last visit to an old favorite that is way past it’s prime.

The website and a sign on the street advertised patio seating, but there wasn’t any! The avocados were not close to ripe, the tortilla soup was bland, thick, and not hot enough…the service was friendly, though. Overall, Ole in my memory was NOT the reality.

The salsa for the chips have a strange texture. The pork in the enchiladas Verdes needed more seasoning. The lobster quesadillas barely had lobster and a bit oily. Drinks had too much ice. Waitress was kind, attentive and took feedback well. As a visitor to Boston, not sure I would eat here again.

We love Ole's. But, tonight was a big MISS. We were really looking forward to returning to in person dining. The food was a big miss. I ordered the lobster quesadillas and there were barely any lobster in it--maybe a teaspoon full spread across 4 pieces. There were soo soo many onions in it. If i am going to order lobster quesadilla in Boston/Cambridge, I want lobster. Our our 10 year old son wanted nachos from the take out menu board--because they don't have a children's menu. We were told that he couldn't order from the take out menu board--only from the main menu. There were no nachos on the dinner menu. He ordered a cheese quesadilla that was ~meh~ My husband ordered the carne asada and it was dry. The very best thing on the menu was the guacamole made fresh at the table. It was truly terrific. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other at the table. I am so glad they survived the pandemic. But, please return to the pre-pandemic quality.

Made a reservation request to sit far away from the bar. Seems like those requests are not reviewed by the staff since they sat us at the table closest to the bar. Table side guacamole is not table side but was very good. Not a large portion however. Otherwise good and service was good.

Went out with a few friends for Mexican food in Cambridge, and Olé was a nice change in pace from the loud and overcrowded restaurants in the city. The food was great, servers were friendly and accommodating, and the ambience was great. It’s more on the “hole in the wall” side than Lolita, but the vibe is perfect for a night out with old friends or a date night. It’s loud enough to uphold the atmosphere of a Friday night out, but you can still hear everyone in your party. Would definitely come here again.
