Old Stone Steakhouse
You will also find a full bar with an extensive wine, beer and liquor menu. If looking to dine al fresco, we have a large patio overlooking Main Street and Stowe park.
Not impressed...don’t recommend
Good comparison to Webb’s custom kitchen. Good for a nice date night.
Great atmosphere. Great hidden gem!!! Definitely a new go to spot!!
Very nice dinner on the deck in October! Very good service.
Wonderful as always!
Good overall experience. Took my favorite food of all time off the menu: Beet and potato salad: really!
Wine half off by the glass: ran out of Pinot Griego: WHAT
We live Old Stone Steakhouse and go as often as we can The prime rib is superb! We’ll be back soon!
Did the Date Night special which was excellent value. Slight downsizing of appetizer but expected that. Food was very good and Sarah our server was very attentive, knew the menu and made the meal very enjoyable
We had a party of six. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was excellent. Well seasoned and presented. Great atmosphere! Belmont is so special. So happy to see these unique restaurants taking over historic buildings 👍
My husband and I went to Old Stone Steakhouse for a special night out and were not disappointed. The waiter, food, ambience and whole experience made for a wonderful evening! We have been there many times before and have found it to be what we consider the best restaurant in Belmont. We especially like the "dinner for two" dinner option...a great bargain and also includes a bottle of great wine!
Awesome prime rib.
We enjoyed the ambiance, the excellent service, and the overall experience!
The BBQ- Bacon-wrapped Scallops are awesome 👍 I will come back just for this item alone!
We will have another Date-night there soon 👌
We live Old Stone. The food & service are always top notch.
This was my first visit, and the hostess and waiter were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was pleasant, but the food was just fair and certainly not worth the price. To begin with, the item I ordered from the menu turned out that at 4:30 p.m. they were already out of, which was the French dip. That was kind of surprising, so I had to make an alternate selection which I chose the "chicken salad". I guess I have never had chicken salad that had no mayonnaise or sauce to give it some juiciness. The chicken was dry and it appeared to be just chunks of white chicken with raisins and hard tomatoes. I actually tried to eat part of the chicken out of the sandwich and took the rest home to feed cats. There was no choice of a baked potato, so the alternative was somewhat greasy steak fries. My companion had the filet mignon, and in comparison to a 6 ounce at other high-end steakhouses, it seemed rather small. Again, no baked potato but just the greasy steak fries. The best part of the meal was the delicious sweet tea. Perhaps it was just an off day, but I would not recommend the restaurant.
Service was attentive but service mixed up drink order (rocks vs straight up) and switched the chicken and veal Parm. orders. But the food was so good we did not notice the switch until we were already into our meal. Overall a good experience and I will go back
Great as always!
We love the couple special...$60!!
Local downtown Belmont... good steaks, great prices, great service. What's not to like.
It was hot in the restaurant but the food was amazing
Fabulous as always
Such a great place. Used to be the police station for Belmont and you can see reflections of this on the walls of the restaurant. Food is great. Service superb. Always a great experience. Always make reservations because it's a very popular place. For an extra treat try the Jailhouse behind Old Stone. Used to be the actual jail for Belmont and they've kept the ambience. Cool speakeasy type vibe. Must pay for membership but worth it.
Great food, service and value. You will not be disappointed.
The restaurant is good. I booked on Open Table the night before our reservation. I called at noon to request a table instead of the booth. They told me no problem. When we arrived, the only thing left was a booth! Then the hostesses acted as if I was lying because I had made the reservation on line.
We were seated at the kitchen and waiter waitress area with open tables all throughout the restaurant. Although it wasn’t the best location we would have liked, we tried to make the best of our evening. Our waitress rushed us throughout. Several times wanting to take our plates when we were eating. We were not out staying our welcome and over talking to delay our eating. Our glasses were never refilled we were asked once if we wanted refills. My husbands steak was full of uneatable grizzle not just a little but big chunks throughout the steak. When we paid our bill and got our bill folder back our credit card was not in the folder. Another waiter found it on the floor back in the waiter waitress area. Just very odd service for what we usually get when we dine at Old Stone.
Consistently great... good service ... salmon is killer... filet tips with grits perfect for the blue cheese lover....my favorite Old Stone dish
Great food and service. Reasonable prices. Reservation recommended.
What they portray as a NY Strip looked more like a top sirloin. Poor quality meat. Very friendly but not steakhouse quality.
Went for our anniversary and my wife had crab legs and I had a burger..everything was cooked perfectly had a great evening..
I have visited this restaurant on 4 different occasions. The previous 3 visits have been spot on with service and quality of food. This visit we were plagued with consistently slow service, did not receive our appetizer and length of time to receive service was abnormally slow. This could have been corrected with simple communication, but was never approached by waitress or manager as to the reason why. When we bought to attention of waitress that we did not receive appetizer she apologized asked if we still wanted then walked off. They did take the drinks off of our bill which was either a mistake or acknowledgement of poor service. I am unsure since no one communicated why drinks were not on bill (water and tea).
The restaurant was busy this particular night but still does not excuse the poor communication or service.
We had a great experience and Sarah was very attentive & polite. Don’t get me started on the food. The first bite of steak made me roll my eyes to the back of my head if that tells you anything. Old Stone is prestige & the best steakhouse around
Food was excellent as noted in many of the reviews. We had prime rib, ribeye steak and filet with lobster and crab. All were excellent. Sides were good, if conventional. Wedge salad cones with the meal. We had appetizer and dessert as well as drinks and the price was reasonable for a steakhouse. Compare to the big name chain steakhouses and this food is comparable at a better price. Good prime rib is hard to find and this was excellent.
Service is good but not quite at the outstanding level you might expect at a higher end steakhouse, but not inadequate, just average. Ambiance is more mid-range, not trying to be elegant. We will definitely return.
The service was outstanding, the food is outstanding also.
Great atmosphere and food!
My wife and I had made reservations here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were shown to this small half booth - half table at the entrance to the kitchen. We were told that since we were a party of two there was no other seating for us because they weren’t going to seat us at a table for four. This in spite of the fact there were at least two other couples sitting at four person tables. We had looked forward to a nice dinner but even the manager was very rude and offered no alternative solution.
The only reason I gave this restaurant “ones” is because the system wouldn’t accept zeros! I’ll never attempt to dine here again!!
Food was decent. Filet was prepared well and had clearly seen a grill. The ribeye was disappointing...it tasted not only was it a poor quality cut of ribeye, it tasted like it was oven cooked and never touched the grill for added flavor. Almost had a microwaved flavor to it. It was sad. The baked potato and wedge salad pulled through and provided some relief to the bad ribeye.
Great food served professionally by a very attentive staff. Also the bar tender was very experienced, and even when busy was attentive. The ambiance is good - the place is a steak house and looks and feels like one. Having said that there were plenty of other offerings if steak was the diner’s choice.
Would I recommend them? I already have! My only disappointment with the whole experience was when I finished my meal and wanted more. Their house wedge salad is delicious, with home made bleu cheese dressing, some type of crunchy chip strips, and dried cherries (i think) topping the fresh iceberg head.
The draft beer selection looked good, but I'm a bottle and can guy... not any craft choices in that area. I settled for a domestic bottled beer, and it was cold and served quickly.
Food was phenomenal. The wife enjoyed her Salmon dinner. It was topped with roasted corn and chopped asparagus. I tried a bite and it was delicious. I went with a special - the filet stuffed with crab and topped with a lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the seafood was fresh and tasty. I couldn't get enough of it, and was sad that I finished it so fast.
We highly recommend a visit to Old Stone!
Everything was perfect!! My wife and I enjoyed a great meal , salad and experience
Enjoy dining on the covered outdoor patio in the summer. Food is always great and the service as well. A mainstay in the city of Belmont!
Fantastic place for a special occasion. Be sure to check out The Jailhouse!
