Old Oyster Factory
Beautiful views and sunsets from every table overlooking Broad Creek.
The food was excellent and the service was great but we found that it got quite noisy when a large group of golfers were seated too close to us. We thought they should have been seated in the room downstairs because they were so boisterous and other diners asked to be moved. Other than that we totally enjoy our meal.
Great food. Great service. Highly recommend
We were on Spring Break and found the gem of a restaurant for our final day. Thomas our waiter was absolutely perfect allowing us order as we went so we could relax and enjoy the ambiance and views from our window seat. The food was delicious. Cannot recommend enough! Don’t skip dessert !
The bar dining during Happy Hour is very nice! It gets busy & crowded very quickly shortly after five pm! Oyster Factory’s bar dining menu is excellent & offers small plates or individual items that are very tasty & priced fairly! A wide variety of options of wine, beers & spirits compliment the Bar Dining experience! The Oyster Factory also offers an early dining menu along with their traditional dining menu! So, go early & enjoy an additional dining segment of this fine eatery!!
Outstanding. The food was good and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. The view was beautiful.
Seems like the prices went up all of a sudden and now salad is not with the meal surprise to us.
Oysters were a little over cooked and grouper was mediocre.
We haven’t been to Hilton Head or the Old Oyster Factory for 7 years, but it was just as we remembered. Our table had a beautiful view of the water, and our server was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, and we had a great time.
Great food, service and ambiance and the view of the sunset was great!
Good food, pretty views!
One of our all-time favorite restaurants. OUTSTANDING in every respect!!!
The restaurant was a wonderful place to eat and dine. The location was extremely great. I enjoyed everything but the gumbo. I’m from Louisiana and it was gumbo it was just soup with a tomato sauce taste. The oysters was Devine. Everything else was Devine. The waiter was courteous and extremely nice. If I had to rate this restaurant it would be 9 out of a 10. Again the only negative thing would be the gumbo.
Great food. Fresh seafood in a great environment. The views of the Mars were wonderful.
Considering the size of this restaurant the food was prepared surprisingly well. The service was excellent and the views made it all the better. I would recommend this restaurant for small and large gatherings alike.
Was seated in the bar area. Bar food was very good. Had shrimp and oysters. Will be back Service was great.
Ordered the Shrimp and Grits. I was heavy on onions and bell pepper, and the sauce had no flavor. Was not a good meal. The fried fish was good. Noted that we were celebrating an 85th birthday in our party of six. Not a mention or acknowledgment of this, that was not cool. Not a place I would return to.
Great service. Gave us hush puppies to go at end of dinner. Oysters and crab cakes were excellent.
Vacation dinner destination. Oysters were very good as expected, but entree was less impressive. Tasty enough but not served hot.
We take our guests to the restaurant because it combines the view of Broad Creek with the fine food. Keep up the great work!!!
We were visiting the island for the first time and our hotel recommended your restaurant. We were very impressed. The plating of the food was beautiful and it tasted delicious!
Service was outstanding! The food was delicious! The views at sunset were beautiful!
Good service food food atmosphere as expected would go back again
Oysters Savannah are to die for!!
Excellent dinner and service, 4th visit in 8 weeks, never disappointed
We’ve eaten here before and always enjoyed it. This time however, I ordered the Seafood Medley? And meh.
I don’t care for food that’s obviously been prepared ahead of time reheated with sauce on everything. Too much like assembly line food.
Great food and view of the setting sun over Broad Creek and surrounding marshes
Excellent quality. Wide menu. Excellent service. Delectable desserts made in-house.
We've been going there for 20 years. Always good. Always we can count on it being good. Actually, among the best HHI has to offer. Always take our visitors there.
Wonderful service and food! Our Friends had never been here and said the gumbo was the best he ever had and he didn't believe grits could tase so good!
Our waitress, Susan, was outstanding, helping us choose what suited us best. As a result of her input, we so enjoyed our meal. The view is always spectacular. The assistants clean up when needed. Thank you.
We eat here once or twice every visit to Hilton Head. The food is always tasty and well prepared, and competitively priced. The architecture is pleasing. Brin (sp?) was our server and was very friendly and professional.
Great food , Beautiful ambience.
Great family restaurant wirh good food and handles large groups well!
Fantastic location on the creek, great service, very well organized. Food was good, good beer selection.
This is a great place to go for a meal - very efficient, great views of the marsh, and good service. But the best way to describe our dining experience is uneven. The broiled seafood plate was wonderful - great shrimp, fantastic scallops, good whitefish. But my wife's mahi mahi was pretty terrible. Very bland, and not at all fresh tasting. She hardly ate any of it.
This is not our first trip here, and probably won't be the last. But we will stick to things we know are caught locally in the future.
Beautiful view, excellent service and wonderful food!
Beautiful views of the wetlands while you dine. Accomodations are casual, rustic and a tad crowded, but the noise level is more than manegeable while the service and food were both excellent. Great seafood selection and lava chocolate cake ended the meal perfectly.
Great place to bring the family, good selections for everyone. The views of the water are beautiful.
We try to visit this establishment whenever we visit the island. We enjoy the baked oysters! Also recommend the sea bass, and swordfish. Service was very good. If you come in the evening, you will see a colorful sunset over the marsh. We will return.
The only complaint was the lettuce in the dinner salad was still very wet, diluting the salad dressing. The Wedge salad was phenomenal as well as the hush puppies - the best we've ever had. The tuna was a bit mushy however.
