Although the Old Jerusalem Restaurant was born in 1976, the United States Bicentennial year, the authenticity of our Middle Eastern cuisine dates back over 5,000 years to the days of Abraham!
All of our chefs are experts in preparing the finest Middle Eastern dishes, which people enjoy in such Biblical cities as Jerusalem and Beirut.
All of our foods are prepared from fresh meats and vegetables with no frozen products or preservatives.
If you are not Familiar with any of our dishes on our menu, our staff members will gladly explain about them and how they are prepared.

This place need to retire. The food is way over priced. I got 1 cup of meat and 1 cup of hommus on a plate and it was $13.50. This could have easily been priced at $8.50. The service staff is non responsive. Waters and drinks sit empty. The falafel appetizers are $7 for 4 little balls. Save your money. Find a different restaurant.
If you are craving some Mediterranean while in Old Town...then by all means...head on over to Od Jerusalem! We loved this place. My wife got the Vegetarian Combination Platter and I had the Meat Combination Platter. Then...we shared out dinners. We enjoyed it so much that we went back again two days later. Oh, since they don't serve alcohol, if you want a some wine or beer, be sure to bring your own. they supply the glasses for a small fee. I highly recommend eating here. Great food for a great price!
Old Jerusalem is an outstanding example of Lebanese and Middle Eastern Food in the heart of Old Town. The quality of the items I had for dinner was exceptional. The Labneh was the best I've tasted, lightly drizzled with olive oil. My entrée of Kefta Kabob was charcoal broiled to perfection with onions, tomatoes and rice. A fresh salad and hefty portion of Lebanese bread were served with the lamb. The baklawa I had for desert was much tastier than the overly sweet Greek variety. Hint: Try a glass of the made-to-order carrot juice. It's a delicious tradition!
I was so disappointed with my meal here that I won't be returning. I had the meat combo platter and everything was so dry and tough I couldn't believe it was served to me. The shish kebab and shwarma were chewy, almost inedible. I could only take a couple bites and left the rest on my plate. The lamb kefta kebab was slightly juicier and more flavorful, but not by much. I left most of my food on my plate and the server did not even ask me if there was a problem. This is a family-owned restaurant and I didn't want to complain so I bit my tongue. The dessert, a knafeh, was equally bad. The phyllo on top was soggy instead of crispy, and I saw them cut a piece from a tray to warm up. Who knows how long it had been sitting there.
