About Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
A bit of East Coast steakhouse tradition is reinvented at Caesars Palace with the Las Vegas outpost of New York City landmark Old Homestead. Brothers Marc and Greg Sherry, whose family has been associated with the original Old Homestead (est. 1868) for decades, let Vegas get a taste of its fine cuts and legendary history.
Complemented by sultry décor, dark woods and burgundy leather booths, Old Homestead's urban dining room and bar feels like a familiar favorite. (The glass wine cellar holding 15,000 bottles doesn't hurt, either.)
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.

Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
I love Old Homstead, we’ve been there many many times. But this time I was a bit disappointing. We stat down at 7, ordered almost immediately because we always order the same thing and our entrees didn’t come out until 8:15. What upset me was when the manager came over to ask if everything was cooked ok, he made it seem like it was our fault they just “rushed” it out after almost leaving before it was brought out because we had a show to get to. It’s not our fault it took over and hour to cook 1 medium rare filet, duck fries and grilled asparagus. I was a bit offended they made their error in the kitchen my fault. Not sure if I’m willing to go back and spend my money there.
Very poor service. Got meal
Completely wrong then waitress blamed me for ordering wrong. Steaks were way over cooked. Never checked back on quality of meal or if steaks were cooked right. Never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks
Very poor restaurant with so many food choices in Vegas!!!
The Old Homestead has a good sized menu with lots of different options. My husband had to send his steak back since it was practically still mooing when it was cut into. He asked for medium well. I think if a place known for steaks can’t cook them to perfection, you need to move on! We won’t be back- too many great steak places in Las Vegas to give this one another chance!
Only thing better than the food was the service. JAMES was an outstanding server and ask for him for an enjoyable evening. Started with numerous oysters he told us about each of them then went on to wine and main course. The Orin Swift wine he recommended paired wonderfully with the tomahawk ribeye.
Would go back again and again if that’s how they treat you - cheers!
If I could give ten stars I would! RUN don’t walk, to Old Homestead. Gorgeous ambiance, wonderful staff, and every single item we ordered was beyond perfect.
The steak toppings (truffle butter and béarnaise sauce)- are tempting, and we ordered several- however, they’re not needed AT ALL! Enough flavor in the food on its own. The best variety bread basket of any steakhouse, stunningly flavorful asparagus, the most indulgent Mac and cheese. I could go on and on! The perfect Valentine’s Dinner Date, And well worth the “splurge” in spending!
Aside from the staff being efficient and friendly, I would not go back to this restaurant. Everything was grossly overpriced and clearly not worth the price at any level. Portions were abundant but Rib eye was dry, tasteless and tough for a prime steak. Had the scampi on top and they served 3 tiger prawns for a grand presentation but you have to eat it. Shrimp were a bit tough and very little taste. They charged $50 for a 9 oz glass of Jordan Cab which was absurd.
Caesar's Palace only advertises the restaurants they own in the Casino on their website but there are far better options in the Ceasar's Fourm where restaurants rent space including Joe's (which was awesome) and Palms.
Place was very nice I have been to there Atlantic City location as well and this was wasn't as good but just by a touch. The side dishes were great the apps were great the drinks were great but the steaks were ok. They weren't bad steaks they were ok steaks.. I was expecting a little better of a steak from here. But over all it was still good
Went here for my birthday and it was perfect. The ambiance was upscale but not fussy. The service was impeccable. They were very welcoming and attended to our every need, even making a cocktail that we had seen somewhere online, even though it wasn't on their menu. The Seafood tower was fantastic, our steak was delectable and the chocolate cake was so moist and delicious.
Came here on a recent recommendation from a friend. We did make a reservation which was a good idea if you don't want a lengthy wait. We started with bourbon old fashioneds--excellent. Husband had the kitchen sink salad and burger with fries--both wonderful. I had the filet mignon and sautéed spinach. Both very good. I ordered the filet rare and it was a bit over cooked--not cool in the center like it should be but the quality of the beef was excellent. Service is efficient but not really friendly. If you want a good table you should specify that or say you're there for an occasion. Despite our reservation our table location was less than desirable and that adversely affected our overall experience. We did ask to be re-seated but was told by the hostess she could do that but it would be an hour wait for another table. She's the one who noted that our reservation did not say anything about a special occasion. Lesson learned. It's pricey but worth it.
Our favorite steak house in all of Las Vegas and we have been to many service without question is so attentive and professional if you go the second time they remember you food exceptional wine list fabulous hostesses friendly and management this is how a restaurant makes the difference
This was my first time at this Steak House. The service and food were excellent. I ordered Filet mineon Oscar Style. It was the most tender Filet I ever had at any steak house. My server was great. I finished my plate (I left a small portion of potatoes came with the meal). I was really happy with my choice. I will go back to this place next time I am in Vegas.
