Old Homestead - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
Complemented by sultry décor, dark woods and burgundy leather booths, Old Homestead's urban dining room and bar feels like a familiar favorite. (The glass wine cellar holding 15,000 bottles doesn't hurt, either.)
Many beloved American favorites are featured here, such as applewood smoked bacon, calamari, Kobe meatballs, warm doughnut bread pudding and New York-style classic cheesecake. Ranging from the New York Strip to Porterhouse for Two, its standout are the famous cuts of meat, selected and butchered with attention to detail that made the original so famous.
We came for my wife's birthday, it was a fantastic dinner. Our waitstaff was great, drinks were terrific and the steak was amazing. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner, made a great place to visit when in Las Vegas.
Never a bad meal or service. Quakity food and very accommodating
Nothing special here. Ordered the lollipop rib eye for two. Had high expectations but ended up being sadly disappointed. I’ve had better pieces of steak at countless other restaurants. The shrimp scampi was the highlight of the meal. Standard sides were ordinary. Considering the cost for the meal for two was $270.00 without tip I would never recommend homestead. Take your money somewhere else in Las Vegas. If you want steak in Vegas try the Prime Steskhouse in the Bellagio.
Michael was an amazing server
Service was amazing as it was in the past
Food was perfect bite after bite
Really love this steakhouse in Vegas. Waiters are knowledgeable and really make the evening enjoyable. Bradley was excellent. He served our drinks and asked if we wanted to enjoy our drinks and socialize before ordering. Some waiters just want to turn the table and get the next party in. We had the filet and the bone-in filet. Both cooked perfectly and were excellent, accompanied w/truffle mashed potatoes. Nice size truffle on top. Also had the lobster bisque and French onion soup. Both were very good, though onion soup was a bit bland but cheese on top helped. Oh yeah, Cosmopolitan and Lemon Drop martinis were awesome. Would definitely come back here next time we’re in Vegas
Second time here and awesome both times. Group of five guys had a ball while enjoying the best steaks around. Service sets them apart and makes it worth the $1,100 price for 5 guys.
Great food & service highly recommend coming to this restaurant either as a couple or group.
The meal was exquisite! I have high standards for steak houses and this passed the test. It is quite pricey but if you want to splurge and have a fantastic meal, this is highly recommended!
The food was great (especially the lobster Mac and cheese). The service was amazing! That’s why we will go back!
Great time with family. Food was delicious. We had the Oysters Rockefeller along with the Calamari to start our meal. I had the bone-in filet with the Cheddar Potato Gratin. We did bring our own wine. The corkage fee was $50.00.
I thought the charge for the corkage fee was too much money.
Bottom Line...We had a great dinner.
Outstanding service, atmosphere and food. We had a lollipop ribeye for two which was perfect. The asparagus and spinach was awesome and the calamari for the appetizer was great. The setting was very exclusive and romantic. My wife and I will definitely return for more of the same. I highly recommend this place for a great dinner!
I always try and enjoy a meal at Homesteadwhen I am in Vegas. A wonderful steak every time!
Food was not worth the price. You cut back on the shrimp scampi and steak and your charging more.
The lollipop ribeye for two was absolutely amazing. Probably the best cooked steak I’ve ever had in Vegas.
Have been to the Old Homestead several times. On this occasion, although we made our reservation well in advance, we were seated near a service entrance in the bar area near where the servers/staff came in and out. Also the restaurant was noisy to the point that it was difficult to communicate with our friends across the table. My wife and I shared the porterhouse for two which was not cooked as requested. We requested medium rare and the steak was medium. Hopefully, just an off night.
Excellent above & beyond expectations
Great food and great service, my favorite steak restaurant in Vegas.
Great but expensive!
Had dinner after getting married in old vegas. Excellent food, but waiter gave us someone else's bill to pay.
We had a party of six and our food was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful when choosing an appetizer and our entrees. The seafood tower he suggested was amazing in presentation and taste. Very impressed with the whole experience.
Reservations handled well. Requested seating accommodated. Server pleasant and overall service excellent save quick serving of courses despite request for spacing between courses. Food excellent and prepared as ordered. A bit pricey but as expected for upscale steakhouse in a casino/hotel.
I ordered the 24 oz bone in ribeye and asked for my steak to be medium rare, more rare than medium. However when it arrived it was medium well and to me - overcooked. I let the waitress know, and she said sorry - but that was it - no offer to replace it, no offer of anything to compensate for a $75 steak that was over cooked. Needless to say, with all the other fine dining choices in Las Vegas, I will not be returning here and would not recommend it.
We were expecting a 5 Star expierence, the ambiance was hardly romantic or intimate. The main seating area was adjacent to the main walkway between the casino and concert venue. It was noisy and very distracting. Many boisterous and drunk tourists were passing within arms reach of our table.
The food was good, but hardly outstanding. My wife ordered a RARE filet but received a medium-well steak, not just once, but TWICE. She sent back the first steak and received another steak that was also well-done. The server apologized twice and removed the order from the bill. We were told the manager would come to see us about the issue but never showed up.
The dress code was business casual as one would expect from the 4 star rating and displayed on the website and sign at the entrance, however we noticed several patrons in shorts and t-shirts , more suited to a buffet line instead of a high end steak house. We expected much more from a well reviewed establishment know for premier steaks and $15 sides of corn or baked potato. We were fully prepared for a $300+ dinner but we were sorely dissatisfied. No return for us !
This high end dining experience in Caesars Palace was a huge disappointment. We had made our Open Table reservation weeks in advance. We arrived on time, yet the best that they could do was seat us at a small table adjacent to the loud smoky bar area. We complained to the waiter who then was snarky with us throughout the meal. We felt trapped because at 6 on a Saturday you cant just go somewhere else. The steaks were good, but the salad and desert were sub par. The overall experience was dreadful.
excellent service 8 ounce filet mignon tasted great. tuna appatizer wasnt good.
Service was very slow we were waiting after we were seated for 15 min before anyone came by. I do think the appetizer choices were good we had the fried oysters and the froigrau which were exceptional my steak a filet minon was average the Cut,Ruth Chris have presented better steaks and it was exceptionally load
The Old Homestead is our new favorite place, not only was the food amazing, but the service was out of this world. The two servers who took care of us genuinely cared about us as people and not just as customers. They took an interest in our lives and made the meal an even more special.
Very expensive but worth it. I had filet which was really good. My girl friend had scallops which she enjoyed.
Everyone enjoyed this dinner. Everything was done to perfection. We will return
Loved everything about our experience! The food was AMAZING! The service was OUTSTANDING!
Wonderful meal, excellent menu... but quite pricey.
First time here at Old Homestead. I had some comp money that I wanted to use on a nice dinner. Reservations easy, hostess very polite, and service very friendly. I enjoy service where they are attentive without being intrusive; I found this to be the case here at Old Homestead.
For our dinner, we shared the crabcake... wonderful and big enough to share. Our entrees included the lobster tail for her and the Wagyu A5 strip loin for me. Our sides were the lobster mac and cheese and the Yukon gold mashed potatoes. Both were presented well and our sides piping hot. This was actually quite a lot of food. The steak entree came with mixed vegetables and a potato puree; more than enough for me. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was rich and tasty. It was very filling. The mashed potatoes were good, but unnecessary due to the other sides.
My steak was cooked medium and had a nice char on the outside. It was very good... would I order it again? Probably not. All in all, Old Homestead is a good go to option for your traditional steak house.
Easy OT reservation process, able to make changes without problem. Super-comfortable booth seating, very attentive wait staff, all ordered items arrived hot and perfectly prepared. The chocolate chip cookie dessert with vanilla ice cream is decadent, although it’s more of a wet gooey cake - absolutely delicious - just we recommend you order the ice cream on the side (which we did).
The food and service is outstanding. The only downside is that you pay dearly for it. The food is comparable to other 4 and 5 star prices but the drinks and wines are incredibly high for what you receive. The wine list is good, but doesn’t stack up for the ultra high end that the prices dominate. Don’t get me wrong, this is Vegas and you’ll pay on the strip for anything of this quality. Just be prepared.
Very disappointed with this restaurant. We were expecting great food given the price and the location (Caesars Palace). First of all, the prices are extremely high for the quality of food you get. We ordered a ribeye and a New York steak, both were burnt on the outside, and some parts were practically inedible. That is not at all what you expect for paying 70USD for a single steak.
Second, there was nothing special about the sides. We ordered the mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach. Spinach were tasteless and mashed potatoes were just ok.
Third, the drinks. We ordered an old fashioned that we returned cause it was terrible. We got a Martini instead, which was just ok.
Service was good, and they didn’t charged us for the drinks because we complained about the quality of the food.
Overall, it is a huge disappointment. We had better food at other restaurants at Caesars that are half the price. For this to be the prime steakhouse at Caesars Palace, it is unacceptable. Lower tier hotels have way better steakhouses.
Made a last minute reservation while in Vegas and it wasn’t a problem. Seated quickly and service was great. We had a 8oz filet, Mac n cheese, cheeseburger and Cakebread Chardonnay. Steak was cooked perfect, not sizzling on a plate like some other steakhouses. The Mac n cheese was extremely gooey. The cheeseburger was pretty plain. Just cheese and meat - no lettuce, tomato or onions. So if you like the extras you may have to ask for it. It’s very loud - it’s Vegas. Overall it was a great meal.
Food is great, atmosphere is great and you can’t beat the location. The menu offering is pretty limited, but for steak and alcohol it’s a great spot
Food was amazing and James was incredible. Thank you for making our night so memorable. We will be back.
Have been to Old Homestead on several occasions and every time has been perfect. Steakhouses are pricey and this is no one exception but worth it.
Great service and fantastic food. The Japanese wagyu was phenomenal. And the applewood smoked bacon appetizer could be a meal by itself.
