From the appetizer to the dessert was unforgettable. The wine tasted great and the coffee at the end was French pressed and tasted so amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender and seasoned perfectly. The crab cake was splendid. The beef tartare was perfect and the bread was toasted wonderfully. Our waiter was perfect. He wasn’t intrusive but was there to make sure we had everything we needed.

My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner. We elected to have the Tomahawk steak (intended to be shared). Best steak we ever had. Extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Expensive piece of meat but worth it. Extensive wet aging process followed by a dry rub aging process. The side dishes are served family style and were delicious although the roasted Brussels Sprouts were a bit salty due to the bacon infusion I’m sure. Texture was fine however. Mashed potatoes were heavenly.

Steven, our main waiter was superb. Very well informed and his suggestions were on the mark. The other wait staff were very attentive. They seem to come out of nowhere and always kept your beverages full and your bread basket full and also your table free of empty plates. Fantastic service overall.

Atmosphere was very nice. The individual seating rooms combined owe to a very large restaurant (able to seat a combined 500+ guests) however we were seated in a quaint quiet corner to accommodate our anniversary (much appreciated attention to detail). Very adequate wine selection and cocktail list. They can make you essentially whatever you want. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I expected better service from a prime steak house. I had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. However i was not seated until 20 minutes after my reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of empty tables, so I didn't understand why they made me wait 20 minutes. Furthermore, the restaurant ran out of ribeye and porter house steaks, forcing me to choose an inferior cut. How can a high end steak restaurant run out of steaks? The waiter did try to make up for the inconveniences by giving me a free dessert. It was a nice gesture, but i didn't think it was enough to make up for my bad experience at the restaurant. That is why i do not recommend this restaurant.

The service was excellent. The fish we ordered, Dover Sole was.room temperature when it came to the table and was tough and chewy..which is hard to do with sole. Definitely underwhelming. The lamb chops we had the night before and the steak were excellent. They should take fish off the menu and stick with what they do well.

This resturant is located inside the Gaylord National Convention Center, so I expected it to be an expensive but top notch resturant. When my wife and I walked in, it exceeded our expectations. The decor was top notch and had a southern gentile feel. There was a fully furnished sitting room including a lit fireplace as we entered. It opened into a bar with ample seating. Our table was set as you would expect any classy steakhouse to be. The waiter was very attentive, but calculated in his interactions. He approached us at the appropriate times without ever feeling like he was intruding. The food was phenomenal, and some of the best steak I have ever had. The salmon my wife had was also perfectly cooked and moist, with excellent flavor. The food was so good that I was able to finish most of a side of mussels, a 24oz Porterhouse, and finish with a chocolate soufle. Everything was great. Overall I would definitely recommend a trip to Old Hickory. Just know going in you're going to drop some money on this meal. For me the experience was worth every penny.

Had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation time for a table. Service was horribly slow. We received our salads before our cocktails, which had been ordered 25 minutes earlier. Had to speak to a manager to get our drinks. We won’t go here again.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such horrible service in a restaurant of this price level. The food was actually, although expensive as is typical for a steakhouse in a resort. We literally waited close to an hour for our order to be taken (after twice flagging down waitstaff to ask them to please send someone over), & we only finally got attention when I went up to ask the hostess if they would prefer we leave & eat somewhere else. In fairness, after that, the manager checked on us multiple times & comped 1st round of drinks & our desserts. Still a frustrating and terrible experience. Don’t eat here. There are too many good place within walking distance right out the door.

Lamb chops and onion soup was fabulous, rib eye was way too peppery and fatty, Dover was OK — but rubbery and dry. The Brussels sprouts were way too salty, and the mushrooms were too lemony. For those prices, I expect the best. But worst was the wait staff. Took 15 min before we were asked for a drink order, our food arrived and sat on a tray next to our table for 10 min, getting cold. I left my table and went to another table to request that different waiter serve our now cold food to us. Wow, they really have staff issues. The table next to us complained their wait for a drink was 20 min. We ate in the bar next time and had a 5 star waiter experience with a young man that had previously worked at Cheesecake Factory. He was wonderful!

Terrible service, slow and disrespectful. As a female paying for the business dinner and after repeated tries in ordering the wine, it was given to the gentlemen guest of mine to taste the wine. Expensive tab for poor service and ok food quality.

I was staying at the hotel this restaurant is located in. I left instructions it was my 20th anniversary for my wife and I. I was hoping that would mean we would get a table for more secluded but that never happened. After being seated we waited 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. And then another 20 minutes to actually receive them. Actually watched a table that got up and left after they waited 15 minutes and no one even addressed their table. The food was good. Smaller portions than I expected for the price though.

What a a great way to spend the evening! This restaurant is fantastic and our server Ruben made sure that our dining experience was exquisite! We were celebrating my birthday at the National Harbor, so the restaurant had to be special and Old Hickory topped the list. Upon arrival we we were promptly greeted by the hostess and seated with in 5 minutes. As we began a lively conversation, Ruben arrived and shared the wonderful menu creations. Selecting soup/salad (lobster bisque & wedge salad) and entrees was easy for us. The porterhouse and NY strip steaks were cooked to perfection and proved to be too much for us to finish. Ruben provided a surprise birthday cake and macaroons to mark the occasion and sang - yes he sang happy birthday -to me. His service was exemplary of perfect, professional customer service; coupled with a perfectly delicious meal that created a magical evening I will always remember.

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to reserve a table here at the last minute because my previous experience was that it was booked weeks in advance. Not only was the chef able to prepare a custom vegetarian entree for us, but they turned on the fireplace for us even though the season for it has not started yet. The evening was wonderful and we will return the next time we get the chance.

It was expensive but classy. The wait staff was very attentive. The waiter made a mistake with our dessert order so that at first we only received 2 of the 5 desserts we ordered, but he apologized and managed to bring us the rest. The food was good and they had some less common sides like brussels sprouts with bacon that I really liked. But the menu changes, so I can't guarantee those will be there if/when you go. For example, the scallops entree that I saw on a menu on yelp was not on the menu when I went.

Salmon entree was unexpectedly good for a steakhouse, and the filet was cooked perfectly. Get the Bernaise sauce, it's worth the extra 1000 calories and the $6 upcharge.

This restaurant has a ton of unused potential. The space itself is great. The chairs in the waiting room need to be cleaned. The room just past the bar that is not used should be where the band is and one of the doorways from that room to the dining area should be closed off. Instead they have the band setup in the room with water views. When you sit at a table in that room you can't hold a conversation because it's so loud. The tables need to be bused right away. When we were there tables sat with used plates on them for 5-10 minutes before being cleaned. The table settings were set wrong when we sat down. When people sat at a table with extra table settings the extra ones were never removed. This is trying to be a high end steak house. The food fit the bill but the service and management did not.
