The food quality was great...however the service was okay. They had great explanations and knowledge however it took a long time. I went both nights, with large groups (8) & (9).... first night being 3 1/2 hours and the second night being close to 4 hours. It is nice they didn’t rush but it was too long.
We absolutely love Old Hickory. Not only does it hold sentimental value, being my husband proposed there, but the service and food are always superb.
Thanks for making our seventh wedding anniversary so special!
Awesome service and awesome food!
Once again it was an amazing dinner. I took my fiancée here for her birthday dinner as she requested and once again we were both blown away from our food and the service. Everything from the welcoming hostess, to our dinner back to the hostess asking us about our meal. We will definitely be back again for dinner, the best steaks we have ever eaten.
Excellent bone in ribeye cooked to perfection together with a vey nice Italian red. Most enjoyable with very attentive service.
Excellent filet and Wagu sirloin.
Excellent, very soft and tasty lobster tails.
One of the best we recently had.
Terrible service, ok food. Expensive for what you actually get.
The food was very expensive but didn’t match the quality. However, the ambiance and staff were great! I had the cowboy and it wasn’t tender or evenly cooked. Spending 58.00 on a steak o want to cut it like butter and have it evenly cooked.
Old Hickory Steakhouse accommodated my child's food allergy. Great place!
This was the 4th( time I’ve visited old hickory 1st time the service was excellent but since the service had gone down and this weekend was horrible couldn’t even call someone to our table to get service it was like the servers were acting as if they were deaf we won’t be back
Waiter was exceptional made the experience special. Food good and adequate wine selection.
The food was good but pretty pricey and service was incredibly slow.
Old Hickory Steakhouse is a hidden gem. The service is outstanding. Our waiter catered to our every need. My meal was amazing and will definitely be back!
Great food, great service, perfect for a business meal.
Great food. Below average service for a local restaurant. Horrible for an upper class steak house.
After being seated, our first meaningful interaction was with a person asking if we would like sparkling or flat water. We told him flat. He turned around and walked away. Really… He turned around and walked away.
Next we ordered our wine. I ordered two bottles of wine for the table. One higher-priced Italian wine and a similarly priced California cab. We waited approximately 15 minutes. The server returned and advised the Italian wine I had picked was not in stock. OK – – stuff happens. I chose an alternative. We literally waited another 20 minutes for the wine to arrive.
Food arrived and was excellent.
Water glasses not refilled.
No one checking how we were doing.
Ordered dessert. No one even asked if we wanted coffee. I asked for tea. Server brought 5half filled boxes of various flavored teas. Not a single black tea. No English Breakfast ... no Earl Gray nothing. I told her even Lipton would be ok.
Last straw ... we’re sitting and talking and the waitress brings the check on her own. I never asked for it!! She obviously wanted to go home.
Never disappoints - food is outstanding - service is excellent
Was really spectacular. Was so worth going all the way to national harbor to this restaurant. Amazing food and great service.
Service people dropped trays 3 times. Not a good sound for the wife trying to enjoy our wedding anniversary.
We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Old Hickory Steakhouse. Our waiter, Andrew, took excellent care of us. Andrew was very knowledgeable and made excellent food and wine recommendations. I cannot recommend the Wedge Salad and the Orange Crème Brule enough-- absolutely fantastic!
I don't normally get excited about a wedge salad, but this is the best I have had! The filet was done perfectly and went with a great wine the waiter recommended.
The food was good but the prices were extremely high. They could use some more moderately priced starters, sides and entrees.
We've been here maybe 4 times now, and this was perhaps the best meal we've enjoyed. Andrew was our server - very attentive, professional, and appreciated his suggestions on wine. Highly recommend the seafood tower. The crab was sensational, but everything else was also very fresh and tasty, and importantly the kitchen knew how to treat fish so it wasn't overwhelmed by other stuff. Steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, and incredibly juicy. Mashed potatoes were to die for. Well done, we will definitely be back!
We arrived when they first open. Staff was very attentive and polite. Our server went out his way to make our 8yr enjoy his experience. The food was very flavorful. My husband co5uldnt finish his tomahawk. Drinks were okay (Old fashioned and Strawberry Rurbarb Fizz). Son was very pleased with his filet. The view was awesome caught the sun set.
We waited for 20 min to be seated as there was no one to welcome or seat anyone. The service was rushed and not polite. The food that was ordered did not all arrive. In general, a very poor experience for a very expensive meal.
An excellent meal. The Waygu was amazing.
Absolutely the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The go food was excellent and the service was second to none. Andrew our waiter was very gracious and accommodating as well as the rest of the staff. Will definitely return
It was amazing amazing experience and a beautiful date night with my gorgeous wife
Food was great. We ordered one of all of the sides, which enhanced everyone's meal. Great place.
Wonderful ambience and menu. It was my birthday, and we were given a small chocolate cake which we both appreciated. However, the cake was too hard and too chocolaty, and we couldn't eat it!
More seafood entrees would be nice too.
The food here is always amazing. It would take the entire word limit to overstate just how great the food is. Typically my wife and I dine here alone, this dinner outing actually allowed us a chance to invite others to experience Old Hickory with us. Needless to say they were equally as impressed. Great drinks, just a wonderful time.
It was really nice
Excellent Tomahawk steak!
Good, attentive service which is not intrusive; excellent quality food (both meats and seafood); a large dining room which, even with many diners, is not packed with people. Yes, it's expensive but appropriately so; you're getting excellent food and you're paying the appropriate price. We visit the Gaylord National Harbor 2-3 times per year and always plan on at least one evening in Old Hickory. Highly recommended.
Greeted as soon as we arrived and given a table with a great view of the harbor. (It was sunset). Waiter was very friendly and professional. Made some great recommendations that we did not regret. It was a wonderful evening and glad we chose Old Hickory Steakhouse to celebrate.
The overall dining experience was very good... I would visit Old Hickory steakhouse again
From the moment we walked into the restaurant until we left, we were made to feel appreciated and special. Our server Marc and assistant Jessica were both amazing. The food was delicious and we were able to enjoy the evening and not feel rushed. We will continue to return and eat at Old Hickory Steakhouse.
Accommodating host. Andrew was a fantastic server. Had oysters from New Brunswick, steaks, sides, and wine. Great taste and preparation throughout.
Celebrated our anniversary here. It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had!
We were eating Keto (No Carb, Meat, Cheese, and greens and mushrooms and salad (with just olive oil and lemon) The chef was accommodating and the food was very very good!
POOR SERVICE!!!!!!! I ended up leaving after waiting 15 minutes before we were offered water. Additionally another 15 minutes went by and I had to get up to find someone to ask about meeting our waiter. We ended up walking out.
