I’m actually upset that our bill was $250 and didn’t like anything that was served to us. We ate here for my husband’s birthday and the only memory we have is how terrible the food tasted. His salmon was ok. We had the Maryland Seafood soup and it was super thick and smelled fishy. My steak had no taste so I asked for steak sauce which took about 30 min. When I finally got my steak sauce it was EXTREMELY SALTY so I couldn’t even use it. I would say the only thing good about this place was the free bread (I think it was free).
We came for a convention and we chose here sort of last minute. We had to wait an extra 30 min even though we had a reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty; it was clearly staffing issues which happens. I don’t think would be the norm had there not been a winter storm warning.
The bar is nice. Drinks were good but not great. The bar staff was nice and definitely accommodating. Once seated our server was awesome. The food was all very very good. It was rather quiet, again not a full compliment of staff to fill the restaurant so not sure what the noise would be like full.
Overall. Perhaps a tad higher prices than I’d expect but still pretty awesome overall. Definitely would return.
Not at all a high end steak house - the worst service we have ever received, waiter touched serving end of utensils with hands and then put in food, haded us our own plates to put down, and we couldn’t get drinks, water or refills to save our lives. Had to walk around to find water pitchers and actually went to the bar to purchase diet cokes since we couldn’t get them at table. Also, the restrooms were a disaster with trash and Pepsi bottles on the floor. We would not return, we have never paid that much for a meal with worse service…ever. A steak house charging $80 for a petite filet shouldn’t be touching your utensils and then tossing them in the dish - or make you walk around searching for a water pitcher….
The ambience was great. The entrees were awesome & a nice place to cap off an evening with friends!
Great service food was excellent and drinks were really good.
Server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions
We celebrated our six year anniversary here and could not have picked a better place! Our server was so kind, friendly and considerate and the scallops and beef cheeks were to die for. Thank you!
First time in this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Kansas City strip steak. It was very flavorful and had the right amount of marble. My wife ordered the Filet Minion. She said it was a little well-done (she wanted medium well), but still said it was very good. She did not like the seafood bisque but was very pleased with the Brussel sprouts and the drinks. Oh yeah, the drinks were very good. Nice place for a date. Bring your wallet!
Friday night date dinner with my wife.
We ordered a bottle of wine from their list….server came back 10 minutes later with news no longer sell it. Picked another bottle.
Crab cake appetizer was delicious that we shared without yet receiving the new bottle of wine we ordered.
My wife’s filet came rare vs medium…sent back to re-cook.
I ate my Bison steak alone with the side of whipped potatoes we ordered.
My wife’s filet arrived correct but now she was stuck with eating cold potatoes.
We ordered mushrooms as a side but they were out of them. What kind of “premier” steakhouse is out of mushrooms? A bad one!
Server was nice and friendly. Kitchen has issues as does beverage management as when went to order after dinner drink they were out of the vanilla vodka
Great Food with a full bar! Love the pretty fireplace
New Year’s Eve dinner was outstanding. Service by Patricio was lovely. Could not have asked for a better meal!
Food was amazing, service was top notch. A little pricey but worth it
The food sucks. Upscale steakhouse? Please…this isn’t even in the same league as the Palm, or Mortons, or Bond 45, except when it comes to price. Never again.
We enjoyed our meal but thought it was overpriced. Portions were small for the price. Also, the waiter could have been more accommodating. I asked him what the fish was and he said “I’ll get to that”. How about telling me when I ask instead of making me wait?
I’m going to say this because I love you. TAKE THE KANSAS CITY STEAK OFF THE MENU!! It was a thin diner steak with good seasoning!! And tell your wait staff when asked, that the Waygu New York strip is far superior!! They are NOT the same. That steak was barely a half inch. For the price it should have been twice as thick!!! SO FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I LOVE IT THERE!! No one should pay $75 for that steak!!
Food was amazing, pricey but so good!
Service was great
Birthday. Friends and awesome food and service
We were celebrating the 17th birthday of our granddaughter who loves steak. Vincent, our head server, was fantastic. Granddaughter had the filet, medium rare, and quickly commented it was the best steak she had ever eaten. Wife and I had the lobster tails with mushroom risotto and it was fabulous. Definitely the best meal we have eaten out in a long time. We will be back.
Outstanding place for celebrating Anniversary, Birthday, etc…
The restaurant and food was good however it was very pricey for the food.
Christmas dinner party
My husband and I shared the Tomahawk Steak and ordered Mushroom & Onions and the Brussels Sprouts as our sides. My daughter ordered the Whipped Potatoes and requested Cheese & Bacon to be added. We all enjoyed our meal very much. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the Sangria and hubby ordered the Old Fashion, we were also pleased with our drinks. Our waiter Marc was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided great recommendations however he was very rude with the man setting up & clearing the tables as well as sharing too much with us and another 2 table of guests about a really large party of guests. It became very annoying. Ambiance was great.
Itv has been a tradition to go here every Xmas eve with my girls. This place is so awesome. The staff are amazing and pleasant. Our waiter Marc, the best. He waited on us twice. Amazing and went over and beyond for us. The food was so good and rich that I am still eating it the next day.
Great service, our waiter was wonderful with the kids. Food was exquisite.
Settled in to our 3-night stay by grabbing some great cocktails at the Old Hickory bar followed by a very tender, perfectly cooked petite filet mignon and a side of veggies and mac n cheese. Service was great and timely. Our server, Happy from Nigeria, even made us both a hot chocolate that wasn’t on the menu. Later that night the restaurant slipped a nice note under our hotel room door thanking us for visiting.
Marc, our waiter was exceptional as usual and the food amazing! Already planning our next dining experience.
The lobster and risotto was fabulous the rockfish and scallops bland and chewy. Andrew is a great waiter, attentive. Ambiance was nice good for groups or romantic dinner.
The seafood tower was the biggest mistake to order. Hardly any crab, the tray wasnt even full. The server tells us after we ordered it, it would be small!!!! NOT ok when it cost us $150.00 for 4.
The service was great, the ambience was nice (best views are in the back of the restaurant). The food was good but I’ve been to some really nice restaurants and I do feel it’s slightly over priced for the value. Overall I was impressed bc the reviews I read prior to dinning were hit or miss.
I would recommend this restaurant; food was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our experience.
Long wait for food which we understand. But 3 of the 4 meals were disappointing. Vincent the server was very good.
Great service. Seated promptly and our waiter, Joe, was very attentive. Very quiet on the day and time we went - our reservation was at 5:30pm on a Monday. Ordered the Porterhouse, mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms, and green beans. The portions were generous enough for my husband and I to share. It is a bit pricy, but I would way comparable to other places in the Waterfront area with much better quality, service, and ambience. I recommend this place.
I took my two teens and wasn't she that spending the money would be worth it!
The whole experience was just a dream! Fantastic food, view and service. Just a delight to teach them about all Old Hickory had to offer...Not Sorry!!
Wonderful place to come to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed everything. Thank you.
Amazing bison steaks! Happy was our server and he was wonderful!
Prompt service, courteous server, seating of patrons allowed for social distancing. Will visit again.
Our dining experience wasn’t what I expected. This was a mother and daughter weekend where we visited to make new memories. We ordered a Caesar salad without white anchovies and the salad was brought out with anchovies. We had to pick them from our salad. I’m sure the server saw them to the side on our plates but nothing was done about it. We ordered two filets, one medium well and the other well done. They both came out medium. We sent my daughters back and it was brought out well done and burnt/dry. The server commented on the burnt steak but nothing was done to make the occasion better.
My husband is a restaurant manager so I expected a manager to be notified. That didn’t happen. Our $200 meal was worth $20. I expected so much more from a restaurant of this caliber. While we love the Gaylord and what it has to offer, We will not dine here again.
Great atmosphere and great service. Medium well steak was over cooked.
It was nice receiving a happy birthday card in my room when I got back from the restaurant. However, my server did not seem to recognize that it was my birthday, despite the fact that the check-in lady was aware of it and actually acknowledged it when we arrived 🤷🏽♀️
Anniversary. Right choice.
Do whatever you can do to get Marc as your server. He was amazing, and is the epitome of server excellence.
