Old Hickory Steakhouse

Good, attentive service which is not intrusive; excellent quality food (both meats and seafood); a large dining room which, even with many diners, is not packed with people. Yes, it's expensive but appropriately so; you're getting excellent food and you're paying the appropriate price. We visit the Gaylord National Harbor 2-3 times per year and always plan on at least one evening in Old Hickory. Highly recommended.
Greeted as soon as we arrived and given a table with a great view of the harbor. (It was sunset). Waiter was very friendly and professional. Made some great recommendations that we did not regret. It was a wonderful evening and glad we chose Old Hickory Steakhouse to celebrate.
The overall dining experience was very good... I would visit Old Hickory steakhouse again
From the moment we walked into the restaurant until we left, we were made to feel appreciated and special. Our server Marc and assistant Jessica were both amazing. The food was delicious and we were able to enjoy the evening and not feel rushed. We will continue to return and eat at Old Hickory Steakhouse.
Accommodating host. Andrew was a fantastic server. Had oysters from New Brunswick, steaks, sides, and wine. Great taste and preparation throughout.
Celebrated our anniversary here. It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had!
We were eating Keto (No Carb, Meat, Cheese, and greens and mushrooms and salad (with just olive oil and lemon) The chef was accommodating and the food was very very good!
POOR SERVICE!!!!!!! I ended up leaving after waiting 15 minutes before we were offered water. Additionally another 15 minutes went by and I had to get up to find someone to ask about meeting our waiter. We ended up walking out.
AMAZING! Two days later and we are still talking about filet and crabcake. Old Hickory made our honeymoon dinner memorable.
Great experience, ambience nice. The filet was excellent, the ribeye wasn’t the best but was very good. Service was excellent
Way over priced. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone because you can get the same quality of food for about two thirds the cost at other restaurants.
The staff was ok. We waited despite our reservation for over 80 minutes and counting, until we had our dinner in the lounge area. The food took over 30 minutes to bring out. Cheese plate and Wagu center cut steak with broccoli.
Food was fantastic! Our server Joe and the service was great!
We had a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. Our host was helpful, courteous and generous, everything that one would expect in a high-end dining experience.
Very good food and service. A little pricey, but the food was delicious. We would eat there again.
The waiter was good, services was top notch, keep up the good work.
Excellent tomohawk steak.
Poor service. Doesn’t serve Prime steak, yet charges that way.
Andrew was a STELLAR server whose intuitive suggestions made our meal better than it would have had we made selections without his help. As a result we had a meal and experience we will remember for years!
I have had better service at Old Hickory in the past. Service was rather slow and choppy. Waited very long for main course and food was luke warm when it arrived at table.
I had the filet, it was the best tasting steak I’ve had in a long time. The two gentlemen also had a tbone and a ribeye. Also excellent. Would definitely eat there again.
The food was great! Service was mediocre took 20 mins to get sat with a reservation and then 30 minutes to get our waiter
Great atmosphere, great food, great service, waiters are above & beyond, good ole fashion attention to detail staff!
We were seated quickly enough and while ther was hardly anyone in the restaurant, all of the service staff were racing around, for what we couldn't guess. Took a while to get a ice tea for my daughter, my $55 Wagyu steak was not prepared correctly. The waiter was fine but hardly saw him around and the staff were bickering back and forth about whatever. Not what one would expect from a higher-end steak house. Certainly did not get our $125 worth. Will not go back.
Service was good, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good. Very expensive for what was served. Priced like Morton’s without the portion size. Drop the prices 15% and it would be worth the value
Service Excellent. Lobster bisque superb. Steaks OVERCOOKED. Crab cake minced meat and fishy. Ridiculously expensive. Never again. Was superb before bought by Marriott.
Our waiter was excellent, attentive, but not obtrusive. He knew the menu very well, selected a nice wine, and made some great recommendations. All around excellent service. Nice table setting overlooking the atrium. The food was ok. I started with the mixed green salad which was very good. My husband and I ordered the Tomahawk Steak, roasted mushrooms and whipped potatoes. The steak had very good flavor, but I do not believe the steak was properly trimmed. I would say about a 1/4 of the steak was fat. I like a nice marbled steak, but....this was not it. The mushrooms and potatoes were fine. We ordered the chocolate ganache cake for dessert. It was ok, but I am very picky on desserts. I do not like the desserts to be too sweet, and this was sweet served with a couple sides of sweet. My husband liked the dessert, and the flavor was nice. I know---it's just a preference thing--I prefer desserts to be less sweet. I thought the bread could be a lot better and would like to see more variety on their starters. I would definitely try it again, but not the Tomahawk Steak. One last quick note. I have never been one to judge people on how they dress for dinner. This is a nice restaurant, but I do expect to see people dressed casually--it is the harbor. But......people in their bathrobes at the bar is just a little too casual.
While our table was not what I had envisioned for our anniversary and we could have done without the loud, way underdressed party across from us. I must say the food was on par with Bistro Hermetage. The best part of our evening was Steve! His knowledge base coupled with just enough personal conversation made him the highlight of our experience. Bravo Steve! And many thanks for treating us as if we were his only table even though he was swamped.
Great food, great service! Would definitely go back again!
World class! We were well taken care of. Reminded us of our golf club dining room with a much better view!
I have eaten at Orlando hickory and Baltimore hickory. Hands down winner is Baltimore. It is a notch above Orlando in every way. The food was delicious, steak cooked to perfection, salad was excellent and the bar selection was outstanding. Highly recommend when near National Harbor and looking for a great steak.
We enjoyed the food and thought we’d bring friends for lunch. Unfortunately you were closed. You should really consider opening for lunch weekends.
Second time to this great steak place and still did not disappoint. The filet was amazing - had the crab cake topper and so much crab! It was delicious. Our waiter was top notch! If you haven’t been, you have to go!
The food was delicious and the service was great. It is pricey but worth it IMO.
Great food and even better service provided by Ruben. Ruben is truly world class!!!
We had the most amazing experience i have ever had while dining. Our server went above and beyond to make our time here memorable. Everything was delicious and i will absolutely be returning.
It was truly an exceptional experience. The service was prompt. The food and presentation were outstanding.
We had a table overlooking the Atrium. Service was wonderful with our courses times perfectly. Mark and others were very attentive with water and drink refills.
It was grossly overpriced and my NY strip was tough and chewy. Service eas spectacular.....especially Marc!!
The food was delicious, the view was beautiful, and wait staff was very attentive. Overall, a great experience!
