Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Opryland

Food was wonderful as always! Service was exceptional. Lots of happy people out enjoying a nice meal. Steak was perfect, scallops were perfect, chocolate cake...perfect. Can't wait to go back!

Loved our waiter. He was very attentive and kind. Our food was delicious. We had three children with us and the waiter was very patient.

Old Hickory is an excellent experience with good service, great food and a tremendous atmosphere. This has been an anniversary favorite for us for years, even though it is a two hour drive from home.

One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. They have the best Filets! The staff is wonderful and very attentive! It’s an amazing place to eat with a great view of the Opryland Hotel! I can’t wait to go back!

The strip steak, risotto, and mac & cheese were all under seasoned, which is unusual for this restaurant. The lobster bisque was excellent.

Our dinner was amazing. We both had steak and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The service was outstanding.

Absolute delicious! Wonderful service and beautiful setting. Steak was amazing. Butter sauce was an excellent compliment. We also had lobster bisque, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend for special celebration.

We have been at this restaurant for three occasions. The first two were exceptional. This time it was very much sub par. Service was excellent, but the filets were not for the price very tender. Very sub par, disappointing. The carrots were just okay, again not exceptional. Our total bill was $182.00 plus tip. For this amount we will probably have to search for another restaurant.....so disappointed.

My wife and I went here just after our wedding for our first meal together. The servers were very friendly and all the staff made it feel like a real celebration for my bride and me.

We had dined at The Old Hickory Steakhouse before and really enjoyed it. This dining experience topped that one. From the charcuterie board all the way through the entrées, the food was outstanding. The ambience was perfect and the wait staff knew exactly when to come to our table. If I could give it six stars, I would.

THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. WHEN THE WAITER TOLD US THE SIDES WERE LARGE I DID NOT REALIZE JUST HOW LARGE HE MEANT. WE HAD LEFTOVERS AND HAD ANOTHER MEAL FROM THEM. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK...

Filet was excellent but not the way I ordered it and couldn’t send it back because the waiter didn’t bother to come back around to check so I just ate it. Even though we set inside the building the doors were open to the atrium and it was freezing . You shouldn’t have to wear your winter coat to emojis a $200.00 dinner.

I would describe it as good hotel food at top quality steakhouse prices. Service was friendly but way too quick. Above average hotel food but very overpriced. Wine also marked up very high. If I’m paying top dollar I’d prefer to go to Morton’s, Del Friscos etc for the same price and also get better food.

We were very disappointed. We were expecting great food and service from the reviews. Our waiter was very attentive to his other tables but walked past us several times without looking at us when we were trying to get his attention. The steaks weren’t cooked as ordered and 2 of us never got refills on our drinks. We would have tipped well over 20% if the service was better but we still tipped 20%.

My wife and I spent one night at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel (it was our first night away from the kiddos in a long time). I mentioned through Open Table that it was a special occasion for us and I’m glad I did. They sat us at what appeared to be the best table in the house (directly in front of the restaurants fountain at an intimate table for two). At the end of our meal they surprised us with a dessert to celebrate our special occasion. The food was fantastic (pricey, but you get what you pay for I guess). I ordered the surf and turf special medium rare with lobster Oscar sauce and the steak was cooked perfectly. My wife got the rack of lamb cooked medium and it was perfect as well. We ordered steak tartare for an app that was also delicious. We split a side of Mac n cheese that was decedent and creamy. We enjoyed a few cocktails from the bar that were also very tasty. Our waiter, Amir, was wonderful and he really added greatly to the overall atmosphere of our dinner. Pre-tip, our meal was just over $200. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely setting, great service, good food. I do wish the restaurant would enforce a rule about attire. Many people were there in clothing that was way too casual. This includes the table closest to me where the man was wearing an old t-shirt, torn jeans, and kept his baseball cap on the entire time. Distracting from a special night.

Ask for Amir from Cairo! The absolute best service, incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Also gave excellent recommendations for the entire meal - everything we ate and drank was delectable!!

The steak was absolutely delicious! Yes, it is expensive, but definitely worth every penny. We go here every year when staying at the hotel. Excellent staff, excellent food!
