Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Opryland
Friday & Saturday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm
Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. Love coming here...always outstanding!
Amazing food and service, what a great treat for a night out.
Service was top notch. Jorge, our waiter, was great and made the meal. The chef was nice enough to come out to review some gluten free options where one of our guests had questions. Wagu special was, well, special. Really nicely done from start to finish and our guests were very impressed.
Excellent food and service, but boy do you pay for it.
Thank you to the staff for making our night incredible!!! 😍
Our server, Amir, was exceptional. As well as Nawal who also served at our table. We will go back for this reason alone. The food is very good but also very expensive. We have been here many times and find that each time can be different as far as the quality of food and service goes, but as stated this time was exceptional in service so worth noting.
This is in the Gaylord Complex. Saturday night at 6pm. Very nice atmosphere. Anthony greeted us promptly and drinks brought quickly. This is supposed to be an upscale dining experience as evidenced by the white table clothes and fancy dinnerware and wine glasses on the table. The food was really not up to this expectation. This is supposed to be a steak restaurant, but the people in our party who ordered steak were both disappointed. The steak was rare on one end and well done on the other. One ordered her steak well done and after sending it back twice it still wasn't up to anyone's expectations. Initially it was medium rare, then medium and then still medium. She decided to just take it home. My salmon was just okay, nothing exciting. Small portion. Dessert included coconut cake and chocolate cake. Both were huge, and expected. For the three of us it cost us $300. Not worth the price. Maybe I had too high expectations. It was an okay experience.
Amir was phenomenal! Is was an amazing experience with phenomenal service!
The crab soup had good flavor but was luke warm. The pork crop was tasty. We sat outside and it was too cold to enjoy any meal.
The best mac and cheese - EVER! The steaks and salad wedge are very good, too.
1st time at Old Hickory. The food was delicious!! I had the filet, and my husband had the ribeye.
Ate dinner there on our 38th anniversary. The service, atmosphere and food were all exceptional. Will dine there again if in the area.
Great experience. Food and service was excellent! Lamb chops were delicious! Great wine selection.
Great experience! Great waiter, Andrew!
Always a real treat to eat at Old Hickory Steakhouse. The food is so good. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasing. The Christmas decor is also wonderful.
My wife and I dined on a Saturday night and the experience was amazing. The service was first class and went beyond anything I have received at any other restaurant. The food was also very good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is second to none.
The steaks were good, but nothing g special. I would have expected the steak to be more tender. The lobster bisque tasted great but it was not very hot. The service was great.
My wife and I visited Old Hickory Steakhouse for our anniversary. The highlights were the wine and drink menu at the bar, the ambience of the delta atrium and the creamed spinach. All of our food was great, but a tad overpriced. The downside was our server was very slow. We waited over twenty minutes before she made our way to our table and only checked on us once throughout our meal. Overall, we enjoyed our experience but weren’t wowed by the service or meal (other than the incredible creamed spinach!)
Our experience at this restaurant was hands down one of the best we’ve ever experienced! The food was fantastic! The cheese presentation that you can order was phenomenal. And just to top off the amazing experience we had outstanding service from our water Wayne just tipped the entire experience over the edge! Hands down worth every penny you will pay for this!!
Great evening before Grand Old Opry! Dinner was fabulous. One of best steaks I’ve ever had. Baked Potato and Carrot soup were great, as well. So much food. We split our food and had enough left over for dinner next evening. Will be back❤️
If you love great quality food and tremendous service, this is your place. Kimberly was great with the selection of wine & cheese. Paul was fantastic as a server. Both were attentive and very personable. It was a memorable experience! Thank you!
If you, as a consumer, are not familiar with fine dining, please look at the menu and prices before you go. Also, a reservation is required. Quality comes at a price. I can say that it was well worth it!
We had reservations but we still had to wait a good 15 mins. Food was good but over priced for what it was. Waqu steaks are usually 80 for 7 ounce. Not 140 on special
Great meal while at a conference at the Gaylord Opryland. Samir, our server, was funny, efficient and professional. The food - from the Lobster Bisque to the sides and Steaks - was amazing! Great job...
It was great the food was wonderful and that helped was awesome
Wow. We were extremely surprised with the quality of the food, service and ambience of a steakhouse located within a resort. From the salad to the steak to the creme brûlée, the meal was outstanding. Combine with a show at the Opry and you will experience a Nashville Night to Remember!
I enjoyed the food and service! We ordered the cheese plate with the wine flight and it was so delicious! I highly recommend.
Our very favorite restaurant! Wonderful ambiance, service and food!!
Beautiful place, great food, service is spectacular
The service was great. The food was average. Not worth the prices
Great restaurant for a special dinner! Service is outstanding. The food, although a bit expensive, was very good! The view of the atrium, with the sound of the waterfalls, creates a great atmosphere.
The food was stellar. Each menu item ordered in my party of four was perfectly prepared and delightfully savory per the consensus opinion. Ambience was excellent in the atrium setting. Service was okay but not as outstanding as the meal, and if ever returning to the Nashville Gaylord Opryland Hotel, we would certainly return to The Old Hickory Steakhouse.
Food was quite good as was the service. Prices however are very expensive.
Great service and great steak
The cheese selection to the meat options, made our night completely memorable. Great total experience!
Amazing! My husband had the 8 oz Center Cut Filet and I had the Pork Chop. The filet was so tender you could cut it with a fork. We got a 1/2 order of the mashed potatoes which melted in your mouth. Our waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu and seemed like they had tried everything before. We will be back when in the area again.
Took my wife there for her birthday! When the reservation was made I asked for a special table! I didn’t get one; we were seated in the “wine room”! Not a single other person was seated in this closed off room! The service was great and the food was terrific but we would have much preferred to eat with people than being shut up in a large room alone! “Bummer”; will not go back because of that! Probably as much Open Table’s fault as the restaurant because we were specific in our reservation request to ask for a special table! Disappointed!
The food is the star at this classic steakhouse. I can’t say anything bad about it. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve left happy and stuffed. This time, it’s too bad we had aweful service as it took around 10 minutes to get water. I asked for some gluten free bread and a cocktail menu but cancelled the request after around 10-15 minutes of waiting for them. I could tell the server was frustrated by this. By the end of the meal we just were ready to get out of there. What would’ve been a long 5 course meal complete with cheese tray, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert with a nice drink turned into salad and entrees and water. Such a bummer because I talked it up big time to my wife. Hopefully the next time we go back we’ll have a different experience.
It was our 45th anniversary, this was very special, something to never forget. To add to something wonderful, they sent the same wine we had for dinner to our room at Gaylord Hotel, with 2 wine glasses. You can hardly beat that.
We were told by the Waiter that we could take the remaining wine with us to the Grand Ole Opry. He was insistent after questioning him numerous times But of course we could not once there. Overall, the feel wasn't right.
Good food. Escargot was great
