   The food was very average. The steak and sides were comparable to a Salt Grass Steakhouse or even a Roadhouse Grille. Not a great value for the price. Service is first class and the facility is very nice.

   Service was slow (took 15 min to seat us), steaks were fare quality, fatty, and overpriced, salads mediocre, bread was ridiculously bad (tasted like sawdust). Worse than store bought. Best were the waiters. I walked down to the waterfront and had a wonderful rib eye steak with fresh cooked bread and no wait and exceptional water view for 1/4 less on price.

   This restaurant was spot on. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Food was great, service was wonderful and the atmosphere was beautiful. Definitely recommend this restaurant!!!

    Still the best filet mignon ever….visiting the best steakhouses from NYC to Miami, my favorite filet mignon is here. Skip the sauces. Just slice and let it melt on your tongue.

    We celebrated our 47th Wedding anniversary. I was put off by the prices and felt this would be a "been there, done that" experience. But Vincent, our waiter, ensured that everything was perfect. We don't drink alcohol, so we had sparkling cider. Vincent brought the bottle in a champaign decanter full of ice, and served it just like it was the finest of wines. I had the lobster tail on risotto, and it was delicious. My wife had the rockfish and pronounced it outstanding. Since my wife is allergic to black pepper, her menu options were reduced, to include the sauce for the fish was off limits. So the Senior Sou Chef prepared a special pepper-less sauce just for her! The deserts were also very good. I had the cheese cake, and my wife the bread puddings. As a special treat for our anniversary, the kitchen provided a special delicious chocolate cake slice as well. Now that is service. The result...see you next year!

    We arrived for our 5pm reservation exactly on time. The doors had just opened so there was nobody even seated yet. Two other groups were also checking in at the same time. After waiting for ten minutes, none of us had been seated yet. How can a restaurant that opens at 5pm not be ready to seat customers immediately? At 5:10 we cancelled our reservation and walked out. The hostess didn’t even try to change our mind or apologize, she just let us go. Don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this before.

    The food was good, but in my opinion it was not as good as the price they were charging. A Bison steak was $70 and all that came was the steak. Veggies were another $12.00. They were good, but there was probably less than $2 worth of veggies in the serving. I'll pay for good food, but this was nothing special for the $300+ bill for 2 people.

    The food was very good--standard steakhouse fare, and our server was fine. However, the kitchen seemed to be a bit off: the two appetizers we ordered were separated by a 15-minute pause. Then another big pause while we waited on the steaks. The Bearnaise sauce arrived only after we reminded them we had ordered it. In short, a good evening but the restaurant seems to still be finding its post-COVID legs.

    Wasn’t sure if the food would be worth the high cost so we started with only ordering a salad and lobster bisque. It was the worst lobster bisque I’ve ever had and the salad looked terrible. So glad we didn’t order the full dinners. We left & ate elsewhere.

    We were trying to celebrate my Wife's Birthday but the noise level was high in the room we were placed. We had to be moved due to the high noise level of the guest who had a large party...our initial seating placed us in a bad spot as well and it was away from the view of the Potomac but we were moved later by the host due to the high noise level. We ordered the Kansas City steak and the W. Ribeye steak along with the brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. The garlic mashed potatoes had too much garlic for my taste but the brussel sprouts were delicious. My overall view was the cost did not match the expectation of a fine dining experience nor did the taste of some of the food. The steaks however were great!

    No worth the cost. The table cloth was very old and showed its age terribly and the window we sat next to was very dirty and covered in dust (first red flags) The staff were all very very nice unfortunately, that doesn't make the food any better. We had the pork belly appetizer and it was not what we expected, was prepared like you would expect from a cheap pub, it was like eating a chunk of rib meat off the bone with store bought bbq sauce on top, the chimichurri and squash puree that accompanied it were both decent. The crab bisque soup was inedible because of the flavor of the frozen not fresh crabmeat taste in the entire dish. My girlfriend got the cauliflower soup and it was not good either. We shared the tomahawk ribeye with lobster tail, both were over cooked by A LOT but the flavor of the steak was good. We got the garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables as sides and they were both good. The food is just very over priced for the quality you get. If the food we had was served to us at a franchise steak restaurant I would expect that quality and inconsistencies but not out of a higher end steakhouse.

    Tony was an excellent server. I wish I could’ve given him more praise. The food was superb. I want to be clear that the Tomahawk steak is worth every penny. Thank you all for making my grandmother feel special on her birthday.

    The staff was very friendly, and the service was fast. However, the bread was dry, the seafood bisque tasted like beef broth, and the steaks were tender and juicy, but we're bland and had zero seasoning. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside, and the views are great.

    It is a beautiful resturant within a spectacular hotel. The Kansas CitySteak was grilled perfectly to my liking. The Old Fashion was excellent and the beer nice and cold. My waiter, Andrew, was a true professional and attentive without being intrusive. Obviously, he has Ben at the job for a good number of years. The negatives; unable to order a baked potatoes and the mashed potatoes left much to b be desired. The $16 cost was outrageously over priced, even if that had been laced with gold as opposed to garlic. Also, first steak house. (and I have visited many throughout the country that did not offer creamed spinach. The seafood bisque had a nice flavor and just the right amount of heat. It would have been Breyer had they forgone the few pitiful pieces of crab and served plain. All in all out was a nice meal, but for the cost, not a memorable one.

    It was my mother’s birthday. July 30. The hostess at the front desk lied to me. When I got to restaurant before my reservation at 6:30 pm, I ask if I could bring my mother’s birthday cake to the table she said yes. However, when I brought the small cake in she told me I could not because it would be a liability. To me that was very wrong of this hostess to do this to my mother for her birthday. If Old Hickory Steakhouse does not allow customers to bring in there own birthday cake, then you have a sign stating this. It was very disrespectful of the hostess to treat my mother this way.

    The service and the sides were very good, The Filets were average, the KC Strip was not a $78 cut of meat, would have been better off at Texas Roadhouse their strip is better. It is a nice place but, the quality of the meat is no where near the price they charge.

    It's a shame that a premium hotel group like Gaylord allows this so called steak house to be their only dinner offering. It was just an overall very poor dining experience . The venue is fine, but everything else goes downhill from there. Food portions small, choices limited ,prices outrageous. service routine . Grab an Uber and drive to the nearest fine steak house in the Alexandria, Va. area.

    Nice view and atmosphere. However, when you pay $65 for lobster tail risotto it shouldn’t be so tough you need a steak knife to get thru it. The servers were nice and friendly, but they are obviously understaffed. Definitely won’t be going out of my way to eat there.

    In town for a trade show and staying at Gaylord National Harbor. These steakhouses are always good and this one did not disappoint. Seafood Bisque was excellent, steaks and sides were perfect as well. Claudia seated us and was so friendly and helpful. Our server was Happy and his name surely fits his demeanor. Overall great experience.

    This is the first time me dining here but not the last time. We were greeted by the hostess. She was very polite and personable. Once seated, the waiter came over who was very professional and kind. He made sure we weee very satisfied with very thing. The food was OUTSTANDING. I had the ribeye steak. This is one of the best steaks I every had. The only downside of this experience was I wasn’t properly dressed for this occasion. We didn’t to play to go here but so glad we did. I would recommend everyone to dine here. You will not be disappointed.
