Guacamole is awesome. Drinks are great! Fun week night deals for a nice night out.
My family chose the Old Greenwich Social Club for a fun, light-hearted Mother's Day brunch and the experience was one which did not disappoint. Between the incredibly kind and attentive staff, live music, fun and family-oriented atmosphere, and yummy brunch, we enjoyed a great time and will definitely be back again soon!!!
A Fun night. Great atmosphere. VERY Friendly Staff!
Horrible service. Atmosphere not great. I would not recommend this place.
Francisco was excellent and his pride in the menu translated to fantastic service. The food was tasty and a nice update from the last time I had visited and it was Mackenzie's. Looking forward to future visits
Unfortunately our expectations were not met at this establishment. My party had 4 adults and 2 kids in highchairs. Definitely a kid friendly restaurant so that was a plus. Service was VERY slow and not confident at all. Kitchen was slow or our server didn't put the order in accordingly. We waited and waited, oh did I mention kids do not like to wait? Food was bland all around and I worry that it wasn't all that fresh either. They do have a nice beer list and the bar as a whole seems to be a nice place to sit and have a drink. I would not go back for dinner here, maybe drinks at the bar with friends.
Very disappointed as I usually have a lovely meal there!! ( I always get the roast chicken)The food was cold , vegetables too crunchy and undercooked, chicken stone cold and the mashed potatoes were so salty I couldn't eat them and left hungry.
I know it's a sport type bar but we sat under the tv and when we asked if they could turn it down a little our waiter said no! I usually go once a week and also order take out from there. Maybe they've changed the chef but it has seriously gone down since I last went in December!!
Nice place, good food, very friendly service. A bit noisy, but that's to be expected in this kind of place. Will definitely go back.
Great menu that changes to stay interesting. Find new favorites every time you go. Food is meticulously prepared and portions are generous without being "too much." Great destination when you want to go somewhere a little special but still comfortable. Fun to run into so many friends from around town too!
Nice comfortable ambience. Good service and selection of beers.
I recently arrived for dinner at 9:10 pm on a weekday, and was told that only the abbreviated late night menu was available. That menu has only flatbreads and salads, when I was looking forward to having a cheeseburger, which is done very well at the Old Greenwich Social Club. So I had a martini, which was really excellent, made with some craft Gin, and I left without eating.
Service is slow, distracted, and very inexperienced.
This was the 1st visit. Good family spot for burgers & bar food. The ribs were good. My wife's burger was very good.
The food was terrible. I had fish and chips . The fish was ok but oily and the chips were cooked in old oil, skinny and soggy as they were placed under the fish. Most were burnt. My partner had chicken, which was tough and over cooked. Really sad as even though refurbished ( still looks like it is from the 60's though) the food is driving away customers. So long.
I had a great first experience at OG Social Club. I would take a few points off for the noise level - there was a child sending shrills through the space and a sports game on TV - but otherwise it was a lovely spot for a casual meal with friends, a date, etc.
Looking forward to going back!
The fish and chips were great. Not a fan of the fried chicken
Still some kinks to work out.
Go for the Pat LaFreda burgers.
OGSS is located in the renovated location of a now gone neighborhood favorite Mckenzies. The latter had a big pour, average food and was a favorite w commuters and families. It was great value. OG has upgraded the menu choices , although I am not sure their clientele was looking for that. The pour is down by an ounce or two and the value is around average. There is a lot of competition in the neighborhood and while the evening bar crowd is still there not sure anything else is. Our meal was good, nothing special and I did not imbibe during my last visit. My sense is the old paridigm worked , the redo is nice but not what the location is about.
Had a great Sunday brunch. The whole experience was great and we'll be back for dinner soon!
Wonderful restaurant with something for everyone. Really great bar, good spot for hanging out with friends and watching sports. The restaurant area seems removed enough from the action to be a quiet spot for dinner and totally appropriate for families, too. Excellent food--upscale pub food but much more than that. They have a great, reasonably priced wine list, with 1/2 price bottles every Wednesday evening.
I really like this place. We went on a Friday night and the place was pretty busy, with several people at the bar and most the tables full. Our waiter was amazing and gave us really excellent service, always there when we needed him but not over the top. The food was good - I had the lobster Mac which had big pieces of lobster and was deliciously creamy. I will definitely be going back. It's fun, relaxed and friendly.
Good food, casual dining, attentive service. Nice to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood.
This is a great spot to stop for a cocktail, bar area is spacious and has a nice lay out. Very casual. However the food was not that great, bland and nothing special. I would keep this as a good drink spot.
We had a wonderful brunch with friends and our son. The food and service was amazing! Plus, they have all kinds of games for children and adults which makes for a fun afternoon ! I highly recommend the brunch. I was also there last week and had the best fish tacos I ever tasted !!
Food was mediocre at best. Most likely will not return. Started with the lobster mac and cheese. Barely any "lobster" - it wasn't even real lobster ... tasted like imitation crab meat. Followed with the burger and the orecchiette. Pasta was fine, nothing special. Burger arrived with none of the fixings I ordered and not to the degree of doneness I requested (medium rare instead of medium well). Had to send it back since I'm pregnant. Fries tasted like they came from the freezer section of the grocery store.
Great place to grab a quick bite. Good menu, excellent service, good food. Overall, I would recommend this place.
I had the OG Burger. Something different about it vs the typical burger. I liked it. My dining companion had the Pulled Pork Sandwich.
We all had a terrific time! The restaurant is so warm and inviting and the food is so good! The mushroom truffle flatbread is too die for! I also love the steak frites, the chicken parm and the lobster burger. The restaurant reminds me of an English club- very relaxing atmosphere. It is a great place to meet friends. The bar is the old-fashioned kind- very large and comfortable.
