Old Granite Street Eatery
With a menu that reflects a strong desire to provide familiar, comforting dishes having an emphasis on quality ingredients. Combined with constantly rotating craft beer selections, focused wine options and hand crafted cocktails, Old Granite Street Eatery looks to be a casual affordable everyday option for neighbors and community to share in great food and drink. We only reserve 1/3 of our restaurant through OpenTable in order to facilitate walk-in traffic. We also have a large communal table for sit-down service. Please included any children and infants in the total in your party for reservations.
Sweet Bacon Chips
chocolate graham cracker, whiskey whipped cream & lace cookie
I’m not sure if they are in between cooks but I remember the food being much better. The chicken Caesar salad had a few strips of sad, dry chicken. The romaine was not good quality and the dressing felt like it came from a grocery store. The salads I remember had good quality romaine or arugula with nice dressings. And they were creative. I’m disappointed with the current menu and the quality.
Bartender was drunk our server didn’t know what to do, took two hours to get our meal brought out wine it was only like 3 tablespoons worth of wine just an overall really bad experience. I have been there before and never had that experience my family came in town so I thought I was guaranteed. But not
They should have stopped seating people. Reservation was at 6:45 didn’t get our appetizers until 7:50. Only received one of the Two ordered. Then our burgers came out and we were waiting in salmon. Drunk bartender brought us a duplicate appetizer out, sat it down saying here’s your salmon. We said ummm no that’s a pretzel and then said forget the salmon. It was not cool. I get there are labor shortages but you could not seat people to make them wait an hour for food. Or be upfront about the timeline. I will not be going back
This was a double birthday (plus anniversary) meal with my son and his wife and their young son (read: grandson!). We had a fabulous time! Everything was perfect. Go see for yourself - it helps to reserve a table (say, through OpenTable). We’ll be back.
I was excited to go to Granite Street since I hadn't been there in a long time. Unfortunately, it was awful! I ordered the homemade pretzel with the beer cheese as an appetizer. The pretzel was so dried out that it crumbled when I tried to eat it. It was like 4-day old bread that was left out. The cheese had no flavor and almost seemed curdled. My co-worker ordered the deep fried PB&J off the kid's menu because it sounded fun...all is was was a generic Uncrustable they fried! I will never go back. Everything was overpriced and definitely NOT worth paying for!
Very disappointed as to what we remember the quality of a meal at Old Granite Street pre-covid. We understand that they are short staffed, and the 3 of them just all seemed to be zooming around. They were friendly. When our appetizer order was taken, waiter/bartender was in too big of a hurry to grab our drinks.......eventually we got them after we ordered our dinner. We love to support local small businesses as we have our own.
We hope they succeed and will try again at a later date.
We had an unexpected delay and we’re unable to get through to the restaurant via phone. We ended up being very late for our reservation. They were so nice and accommodating, even though they were closing soon.
We made a reservation for 6ppl on Sunday at 11am. This is only one hour after they open - but they were out of many menu items. No Avo toast, no biscuits and gravy, out of some of the beers on tap and no Baileys for Irish coffee. That's kind of crazy being that their brunch menu is not that extensive. We were pretty much left to just have omelettes which were fine... but kind of a bummer experience. Service was great. Cute spot
Mixed review on this informal eatery. I liked my salmon entree with couscous --my wife said her hamburger was overcooked, and I think she was right since it was well done and she ordered it medium rare! It certainly tasted dry. Otherwise, it seems like a nice place to come for a casual dinner, and not pricey. Maybe, the chef had an off day.
Menu changed since last visit. Very average offerings and quality. Used to have a very foodie and craft cocktail feel. Burgers, wraps and a few unimaginative entrees. Little to no atmosphere.
Very good service, appetizers were slightly disappointing, cocktails and entrees were pretty good
I used to travel regularly to Reno for work, but due to the pandemic, it's been two years. So glad to see that not only has Old Granite Street survived, but it's still serving interesting and well prepared food. The service was excellent, and our table enjoyed the Sunday appetizer specials. We didn't get photos of the beer cheese or the shishito peppers because they didn't last long enough! The only disappointment was that they sold out of the bacon chips, however the hummus was very good. I'll be back on the next trip to Reno!
Food was decent, excellent Sunday brunch happy hour and above and beyond customer service. Highly recommend!
Service was great and it’s a cute spot. But the food was crap.
I really wish they would bring the deviled eggs back and expand their menu.
Our waitress was exceptional.
Fun n great Food. Good Drinks too!
Extremely helpful with my restricted food requirements. The food was delicious and the service was great. My husband who does not have any special requirements was also extremely pleased with his dinner.
We were expecting more of a French bistro so we were very surprised with the menu. For appetizers we had the shishito peppers--delicious as were the crispy chicken wings with fries. The fries were perfect and the wings nice and crispy. My brother had the fish and chips which were excellent. The batter was crunchy, crispy but after sitting on the lettuce got a little soggy. The disappointment was the drunken mussels. They were bitter and not fresh with broken shells and the focaccia with the mussels was dried out and definitely not fresh. I should have ordered one of the burgers which were the majority of the menu and looked good coming out of the kitchen. I'd go back for a burger.
Always good. I got the messiest burger and added an egg to show dominance. Client got drunken mussels and said they were great.
I’ve never had a bad time here but reservations always help.
Very friendly server, amazing food, great atmosphere.
What a mistake. The menu provided was smeared with food.
It took 10 minutes for the waitress to come to the table. She wanted us to order right then and there ( I guess she figured she had given us enough time already). Wife ordered a drink . It took another ten minutes for her to bring that.
I was watching the waitress talking with some guy at the bar.
We told her we had had enough - please bring the check.
She did - $7 for a double call whiskey.
It had been a while since we had been in....it will now be a LOT longer before we go back.
Was happy they had later reservations avaialable. The food was so-so. Ordered the pasta dish and it was watery which was weird. Didn't taste bad but was just not the consistency i was expecting. Waitress was nice and kept distance due to COVID but didn't offer dessert at end.
Nice place to eat. Good ambiance, good food, big beer selection. Very good service. Good value.
Great food and friendly service. We missed some of the old brunch items (especially the eggs in a frame), but still an excellent time as always.
Great service, awesome food and the desserts were out of this world.
Got right in, everything was just right.
Kendra was great, food was great, drinks were great! 😇
I made a last minute reservation for a birthday lunch. The food was excellent as was the service!
Loved this place, enjoyed a late lunch here, the burger was fantastic and the fries are amazing.
Plan to come back and check out the brunch menu!
The server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always. Please dont ever take the bacon chips off of the menu
We have always been Granite Street Eatery fans. They do it a little bit different and the flavor combinations just work. We were a little disappointed in the reduction to the menu and main focus on burgers. We opted to try the chicken wing appetizer that was done very well with great flavors. We also shared the beer cheese burger with garlic fries and the flavors were just extreme and worked perfectly in true Granite Street style. The service was great from the time we arrived until we left, in a crazy time we felt welcomed and comfortable. We appreciated this experience and will be back soon.
Had a nice quiet patio out the back for outside seating. Service was courteous and food came pretty quickly. Really great tasting food, think they have a limited menu but I had the Black and Bleu burger and it was yummy.
Ok food but great service. Not too expensive but certainly no bargain either. Beer only in bottles.
One time only.
Food was great! Server was multitasking quite impressively. 2nd time I visited restaurant in 2-weeks. Will definitely be back soon.
I was on a 9 day, 8 city, 2,700 mile car trip. This meal was a highlight! Great space, wonderful server, exceptional food and an amazing cocktail! Thank you for making my last night “on the road” memorable!
We had been wanting to try Old Granite Street Eatery for quite some time. It did not disappoint! The staff were great & the food was AMAZING! Cocktails were divine! :-) We will be back!
Terrible menu. Not usual menu! Went for dinner not a burger!
The food was very good! The beverages were a bit pricy but that's to be expected or this part of Reno. The service was excellent and Nathan made sure we were comfortable and attended too frequently. Outside seating was nice, but there was a lingering smell of garbage that was slightly offputting. After dining, we saw the outdoor seating area is in front of the garbage cans, and on a hot day, that was not a great smell to pair with our perfect lunch. Overall I really enjoyed our meal, but next time I'll probably just sit inside.
Happy to see granite street back open. Excellent service. Great food.
Very limited menu, food and service is just OK.
