New Years Eve prix fix menus. Great choices. Each prepared with excellence. Very good service. Table was ready immediately on our reservation time. Beautifully decorated dining room. Fine dining to be sure.

This was a New Years Eve celebration so the menu was fixed price. The Sea Bass was nice but the combination lobster and steak was disappointing for most of our party. The deserts were good but we would have preferred more effort would have been allocated to the entries. Overall the restaurant seems to rely mostly on its history and ambiance to retain its customers, but that may become more difficult in the future if it’s food continues to be unremarkable.

Hadn't been to this restaurant in 10 years. Now I remember why. Food was overpriced and marginal in quality. Sea bass was deep fried! Who does this? 12.50 for a Stoli martini? Calimari was like trying to eat sections of a hose. I will never go here again. $90.00 per person plus drinks and tax. $280.00 for dinner for two with tip. Outrageous!

We live close to 300 miles from Hilton Head Island, but we've been to the Old Fort Pub nearly 20 times in 20 years. We've had great dining experiences all over the world, but can't think of any that compared for an excellent balance of ambiance, view, cuisine and service. Go at sunset if you can, but its a nice experience any time of day.

This restaurant has a gentile Southern quality with a beautiful view of a low country waterway. The she crab soup was excellent and the tasting menu for brunch was reasonably priced. Nice service and good food make it worth the effort to find this place.

This is by far the best dining experience we've had since moving to Bluffton over a year ago. We go out to eat at least once a week in Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort and this is the first time we've been impressed. Truly the only place that we've experienced that lives up to the term, "fine dining." The service was friendly from start to finish, the cocktail and wine list had something for everyone, and the food was seasoned, cooked and plated beautifully.

This is the 4th time we have visited on our trips to HH. We are never disappointed with the menu, the food, or the service; however our server could have scaled back his dissertations on his hobby.

Expensive, a bit noisy when full, but worth every penny. One of the most wonderful restaurants ever. Super special for that wonderful occasion. Go early enough to catch the sunset and time enough to walk the old fort.

Was very disappointed in the menu for Christmas Day. Was told one the phone after I reserved that they needed a credit card to secure the reservation. Was also told they would probably serve prime rib. Not. The food was okay, service was pretty good, but after living here for 40+ years, it would not be a place I would recommend. Meh

Once again our Christmas Eve tradition. Food was wonderful. Server was great. Hostess needed an attitude adjustment. Had to go seek her out after waiting 15 minutes in the bar with no update on when we’d be seated and we had a reservation.

This was an awful dinning evening. We should start with the fact that out of the four members of our party only one was able to eat his entree. He ordered plain grilled chicken and fries and to be clear he is 9. The salmon was over cooked and flavorless the sides that accompanied the dish was also flavorless and uninspired. The bouillabaisse was a joke...for $35 I expect more than 4 shrimp and a few muscles along with half a cup of salt! Oh and let's discuss the Osso Bucco...which was completely inedible. Now they at least removed that from the table and the bill. The server choose to hide through the majority of the meal and once we raised the issue about the problems with the food we thought she might have taken a vacation. The manager made little effort to make the evening better which is a sad way to have left this restaurant. Needless to say the two meals we had previously at the Old Fort Pub were spectacular but this meal has left us hungry and with a bad taste in our mouths and we will not return and would not recommend spending the money here.

We were very disappointed in a restaurant that was highly recommended.
The she crab soup was too salty and had no crab. (or it was too pureed)
The beet salad was tasteless.
The creme brulee was runny and tasted burnt. The creme caramel was like gelatin and tasteless.
The main courses were very good, except for the tough NY strip steak. Salmon and Mahi Mahi were excellent.
Service was good, as was the atmosphere, but not likely we will return.

Excellent view of sunset at dinner. We go at least once a year, basically for a nice dinner with friends during the holidays. Menu changed, and although satisfied, used to be better choices.
Our waiter was First Class. Bottom line it's a nice place to go once a year, but on the pricey side.

Another wonderful meal. Although they had changed to a Winter menu and our favorite stater ( pate) was not offered, the sea scallop was a great substitution. Since we were changing our starter we broke from our normal entree - eggs benedict - to the shellfish cake. It was such a light meal, we chose the creme caramel for desert along with an expresso. It was a beautiful sunny day to take in the scenery while dinning, having just had two cold days of grey clouds and rain. The service was impeccable.....

We thought we'd try this restaurant based on the reviews. We found it overall quite expensive for the entree's, but thought, well the food must be awesome. My husband's prime rib was quite good. My shrimp was so-so. We had one drink each. The bill was $148.00. We think that is pretty steep for a meal. Even if it had been a great meal. Service was fine overall.

OFP is a must stop for me whenever I am in Hilton Head. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner. While we know that's a busy time, we never felt rushed. The food was tremendous and was not rushed because of the holiday. The service was very attentive to us. OFP is a MUST for folks desiring and enjoying fine dining in a great atmosphere.

Was disappointed with this years Turkey dinner compare to last year. I did not like the idea I had to have dark meat and white and there sure was not enough of white on my plate (which is the only one I eat) potatoes and green beans, rolls were very good; skimpy with the cranberry sauce. Service wad good, even though I felt a little rushed.

Our family gathered at Hilton Head this year for Thanksgiving week, and we chose Old Fort Pub as our dine out special night. But for the splendid pecan pie desert, the meal was surprisingly disappointing to just about all of us. Being a duck
aficionado, I was most disappointed. It was cold and mediocre, the only saving grace being a nice strong and deep sauce. My sister's salmon was cold and dry. The consensus at the table was that the food was at best adequate. None of us recoil at high menu prices such as at Old Fort Pub, but at such prices one expects far better than adequate food. To be fair, the service was excellent and we rewarded that generously. Maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen, but I can only judge by what we received, and based on this experience I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Small quiet traditional dining room. Great ambiance for intimate dining.

Cozy friendly bar; well made traditional cocktails.

Server timed the courses just right. Attentive but not intrusive.

Food was excellent. We had the smoked salmon appetizer, bouillabaisse, and pork loin, and a raspberry dessert. All great.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. A little expensive but worth it. If you visit Hilton Head, don't miss it.
