Old Europe Bistro
We had a wonderful birthday celebration for my husband - and couldn’t have asked for better food or service. Wonderful Czech and German food and outstanding Apple Strudel for dessert.
Authentic and tasty German/Czech food and beer. Very nice Old Europe atmosphere in this bistro. Good service and selection of entrees. We had trout and sauerbraten, both very good. Red cabbage was excellent and so was the warm apple strudel with ice cream and whipped cream. A fun evening!
One of the best authentic German/Czech restaurants I have ever been to! My friends and I come every year when we are here and it never disappoints. The owner is so nice and accommodating. The potato pancakes are outstanding and so flavorful! The Wiener schnitzel is tender and delicious. My friends had the sauerbraten and they said it was excellent. The apple strudel is a must for dessert! Such a fabulous place!! Wish they had a restaurant in the NYC/ CT area so I was able to enjoy this food more than once a year! Old World Charm with festive music and the best beer!!!
Food was fabulous. I was in the Army in Germany for 3 years and this rivals anything I had there. I had the pork shank and my wife had beef both were excellent. David was a gracious host. This by far the best Czech-German food in the Naples area. We are definitely going back!
Excellent German & Czech food.
Very hospitable. A jewel in the crowded
Naples market. Maybe the best Naples value
in cozy smaller restaurants
Always a treat to visit Old World Bistro and Dave! Food consistently excellent.
Great place. Pleasant efficient staff and nice owner. Food not quite as good as previous visits. Cucumber soup too strong tasting. Schnitzel wonderful but gravy not like it uses to be. No mushrooms and thin without rich taste.
I would still go again. Chocolate crepes heavenly !!
Terrific authentic European food. Would be considered great and above average in Europe.
Good German food, clean restaurant.Owner server pleasant .
Wonderful authentic German food was enjoyed by all. A complimentary dessert of warm apple strudel was provided by our gracious waiter. Our evening was wonderful.
My wife and I have been going to Old Europe on and off for nearly 10 years when we are in south Florida, usually during spring break. We cannot get this kind of cuisine where we are from and German/Czech food is one of our very favorites. This is the real deal, authentic. The schnitzel is terrific, I have never had a less than stellar versions of it. The Sauerbraten is also a excellent. During our visit this year we opted to bring our 11 and 15 year old sons, we had dinner in several excellent restaurants but this is the only location my youngest ate every single thing on his place (he had the Jaeger Schnitzel), spätzle and finished with the strawberry crepes, which he devoured. I had the blueberry dumplings for dessert and I wish I could have them again, they were stellar. The mushroom pierogis were also delicious. This is a small venue in competition with some bigger places in the area but of all them Old Europe has the best food, service and personality. The owner is the chef, he takes his craft seriously and everything is made by hand. It's excellent.
Start with a delicious Pilsner Urquell and pierogies while you make decisions. Our party had either sauerbraten or jaegerschnitzel and both were excellent. Don't miss the strudel for dessert. Very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and appreciated.
Great European comfort food with very friendly staff
The food was wonderful, especially the chicken paprika and the Wiener schnitzel! The staff was attentive. The blueberry dumplings for dessert capped off our great meals!
Very good service and good European food but in my opinion all could have been at a warmer temperature.
They only have beer and wine and no bar if that is important to you. Not expensive but no bargain either! No happy hour and no AE, only visa and mc.
We will return but we are not running back
Love the Czech food that is served here. Had potato pancakes and mushroom pierogis for appetizers. For dinner we had Wiener schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzle . Two large pan fried pieces of pork that were done perfectly. My wife loves the sampler which has pierogi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, spaetzle, pork loin, and sauerkraut.
Desert is two generous slices of heated homemade apple strudel with a scoop of icecream.
Like the service.
Will be back every time we go to Naples.
Amazing experience.. Food was flawless.. Service was great.. Waitress was right on... Best in toem for truly authentic eastern European food..
A sweet place ... like being in a quaint restaurant in Europe.
Owners very attentive and service excellent.
Food plentiful and good.
Cute patio outside.
For a Friday night in season, I was surprised at how quiet it was. With an ooompah band playing in the background, the scene was set. The food is always amazing and I brought my two dear friends and neighbors to show off one of my favorite finds.
Tonite only proved to my friends that I know a good meal when I’ve had one. Tonites special was one of my favorites, pork shank. Until you see it, just think Flintstones dinner. It is huge and perfectly cooked, accompanied by a dumpling and sauerkraut. Two of us had the special and the other had the traditional Weinershnitzel, two tender pieces that each one practically covered the plate, with red cabbagge and spaetzle. Good wine and a cold stein of ale complemented our meal. We shared, the freshly made to order, crepes filled with berries and cream, surrounded by whipped cream and a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert. We left with boxes and deliciously filled tummies. What more could one ask for?
Just a great neighborhood restaurant that’s not Italian!!
Wonderful old World home cooking.
Convenient easy parking.
We’ve been here a few times and keep coming back. The food quality is good and the quantity is high. The service is very professional, knowledgeable and attentive.
Two cuckoo clocks here so it passes my central European restaurant atmosphere test.
The schnitzel is offered as either pork or veal and comes very thin and tender with a crispy breading that is delicious. The strudel here is almost exactly as I remember my oma making in her kitchen years ago.
This is a go to favorite that we’ll continue to visit when in Naples.
This is a wonderful place to go. The prices are very reasonable and the food was great. The waiter helped us with the wine selection and we were very pleased. The desserts were delicious. We will be returning here for sure!
Had Pork Shank it was cold and so were the sides. It wasn’t the best shank way to much fat.
This was our first visit to Old Europe Bistro. We are not used to "German" food, but thought we would try. Meals were very good, except, not used to the sourness of the potato salad and flavor of the sauerkraut. The service was excellent and the establishment was very clean and we plan on returning to learn more and try more German food.
We visit the restaurant as often as possible, it is wonderful. Recommend it highly.
This is the type of restaurant that you want to return to.
Welcoming staff and varied menu. Love it and will share with our friends.
Great experience. This is one of our favorites. We make a point of going here several times while we are in naples.
The apple strudel is one of the best we have had. Wiener schnitzel, sampler platter and pork special are great.
Very authentic German food, served nice and hot. Friendly atmosphere ,Good verity of menu items.
Authentic German & Bavarian specialities served in a homey bistro atmosphere.
Truly an old world charmer, from the cuckoo clocks to the checkered tablecloths with a lace over-cloth. Pilsner Urquell beer is on tap. My wife and I always have the Wiener schnitzel, which is the best in town and very generous. There's an additional $5 charge for having it made with veal rather than pork, but the pork is just as good. Although you probably won't notice it when you're there, the smell of frying will be on clothes when you leave -- better wear something that doesn't require dry cleaning. We've tried the other Eastern European restaurants in the area; this one is by far the best and keeps us coming back.
Good German/Czech cooking. Place to go for classics, sausage kraut and red cabbage plus Apple Strudel dessert
Great service and prices. Garlic soup was great. A little disappointed with the sauerbraten.
Delicious food and the presentation was very nice. Service excellent, waiter was on top of everything throughout our meal. Dessert was scrumptious i had the crepe and my husband had the strudel. Would recommend to friends and family.
Great foo, great service. Very friendly staff and chef!
Our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Veronica was our waitress and was a very pleasant, knowledgeable young woman. The choices were many and very authentic German food. We've been to several german restaurants in the Naples-Bonita Springs area and Old Europe is definitely our favorite. We drove here from Estero and it was well worth the drive.
Good food and friendly staff
Been here many times. Never disappointed
What a great find in Naples! Our dinner was exceptional and our server, Milko was fantastic. We would highly recommend this restuarant.
