Ich hatte zuvor von diesem Restaurant-„Klassiker“ gelesen und war in keiner Weise enttäuscht. Die altehrwürdige Institution ist gepflegt, guter Service und zumindest unsere Gerichte (Bacon-Cheeseburger und Ceasars) waren überdurchschnittlich. Sicher nicht der große Genussmoment für ein tolles Dinner, aber solides amerikanisches Essen in toller Atmosphäre. So ein Laden macht wirklich Spaß!

It was HS graduation celebration, and went splendidly. Our server, Jenny, was knowledgable and professional! Food was great! Old Ebbitt Grill was our old haunt and with the vegetarian selection added in, it’ll continue to be our favorite!

We had a wonderful early dinner at Old Ebbitt. Abigail was our bartender/server and she has a charming, delightful personality. We had oysters, the Chesapeake Bay blue catfish sandwich and the spring market salad. Everything was absolutely delicious.

I had low expectations coming in, but the food was truly exceptional. We had to order a second round of oysters because we couldn’t get enough! The clam chowder was also a favorite of the party! Our waitress was gracious but overburdened with tables and had a tough time keeping up with everyone, so management needs to revisit their organization.

Absolutely fabulous dinner!! Mo at the bar took care of us, and made sure we had delicious lemon drops to finish off a stellar brunch of crab cakes, branzino, and shrimp n grits. Everythong was beautifully prepared. The crab cakes were BEYOND. Thanks for the recommendations Mo! You made our day.

I have a little trouble walking, so when we arrived at Old Ebbitt for my lunch with my daughter, my husband parked and helped me into the restaurant. While I was checking in with my reservation I heard my husband ask the nice young man near the check in desk to take good care of me. He responded in a firm certain voice "Sir, you can count on it". As it turns out, everything he said was right; the oysters were superb, the crabcakes big and lumpy, and everyone whom we came in contact with treated us like family. Thanks to all, Margaret Ryerson

With a reservation we were seated almost immediately despite the restaurant appearing to be at capacity. Noise levels were high simply from conversation amongst patrons. Wait staff was friendly but sparse. It took a while to get bread and drinks but the appetizer and entree’s were delivered relatively timely. Our party of 3 shared calamari (which was the best we have had in recent memory. Teenage son enjoyed a bacon cheese burger, wife devoured the trout and claimed it was fantastic, and I demolished the meatloaf. All were absolutely fantastic. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. Highly recommend a reservation.

This iconic place is part tourist trap, part good restaurant. My wife and I are not big fish eaters, and don’t like oysters, so if you are like us then the Ebbitt Grill may not be for you. It’s a somewhat limited menu if you take out all of that. Food is otherwise decent with large portions and a good value. Service was pretty good. Very popular place.

Chose Old Ebbitt for the ambience and were disappointed to be seated in the atrium of the adjoining office building. This space lacked character and the faux plants were dusty and gross. Took away from our celebratory meal.

This summer menu was disappointing. I dine here regularly, but the quality of food this time was lacking. The waitress was notably disturbed by my guest. I understood the challenge as this was a mentee who I was looking to expose to different experiences, but it was sad to see the way the waitress treated her.
