I always end up here. Husband's favorite, not mine. The atmosphere is nice. Food to me is good, not great. Tonight the salad was bitter and the trout done well. Skip the house wine.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with friends and family. The food was wonderful and the wait staff was friendly, with just the right amount of attention. We would recommend to anyone.

Had a terrific lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill prior to going to National Theatre. The food was great, and our server, Deborah, was outstanding. It is an easy walk to the theater, and valet parking for $12 for the entire meal and show is a great value.

Arrived at noon for our 12:00 brunch reservation and had to wait nearly 20 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was packed and noisy. Our server was attentive but our food took almost 45 minutes to arrive and was average. The building and dining room are historic and lovely and the art collection is especially fun but the whole experience was not quite the special, DC outing I was hoping it would be.

Relaxing, delicious pre-theater brunch with very nice, professional waiter. Food didn’t come in a hurry but we had plenty of time and was just delightful not to rush or be rushed.

We thought this would be a type of institutional restaurant, one with history and great vibes. But it felt more like a tourist trap.

The service was stellar and our waiter was extremely helpful. The waiter knew everything about the dishes and was able to offer helpful suggestions. We especially liked the seafood options and oyster happy hour. The drink specials were creative and tasty. The only bad part was that the tables were extremely close to one another to were you feel uncomfortable eating and seating yourself next to strangers sitting immediately beside you. Also the noise level of the restaurant is extremely loud which makes conversation with your dinner date almost impossible without yelling.

First time visiting this particular Clyde's. Have been to many other in this restaurant group in the DC area. Greeted warmly and wished a happy birthday which showed attention to detail and caring. Food (all delicious) was served up promptly by a very attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Was pleased to see the birthday wishes extended by being written on the edge of my dessert plate.

Noted: Glassware, plate and flatware water spotted which was a bit disappointing. Maybe the dishwasher needs some Cascade rinse solution?

Overall it was a good first visit. From the crowds constantly streaming in, it's obviously a popular Washington institution.

Incredible date night. Food was delicious and the wait staff was professional and personable. It was an enjoyable evening all the way around. Good we had reservations - a lot of people waiting on tables but we went right in. Would recommend to anyone.

We felt the quality of the food went down since our last visit 5 months earlier. The meats were fatty in the cubana and Walter. The cubana also had very little meat and what was there was fatty, had to cut it away, yuck. I left a complete half of my Walter
untouched On the plate and did not take it home. Not only was the meat on the Walter fatty, the sandwich bread was soaking wet on the bottom side. Who wants to eat bread soaked in water and have to eat a sandwich with a fork because it falls apart when you pick it up.
