Best place to celebrate coming back to DC
Best oysters in town ,great bloody Marys
Our experience was perfect. The server was very prompt and friendly. Food was delicious even though I thought the Brussels could of had a little more spices or maybe even a glaze. But other than that, everything was nice!
Very enjoyable first night in Washington. The place was packed but energetic and service was excellent. Had Grilled Cauliflower, very nice.
Good food, good service and reasonably priced.
Any time I am in DC, I always swing by for the Eggs Chesapeake. Great service only adds to my enjoyment of this fantastic brunch item.
The filet Mignon was the worst cut of meat I’ve ever eaten and that is what I always order when I dine out. Service was good however, our Server didn’t offer bread or check in with us when our food was served. The place was really busy at 9:30pm on a Thursday so we were hoping that it would be so much better. This place has historic value, average food, and very casual atmosphere.
Everything about this historical marvel is wonderful, except the noise. Service, food, ambiance, cocktails are all superb and have been every time we have eaten there, but it is always very loud, so expect to walk into the middle of a party when you pop by for a meal. Reservations are highly recommended, the place is always full.
Fabian was an outstanding server, class act
Probably the best restaurant in the DC area! Great breakfast menu also!
Excellent food and service. Will always recommend the Old Ebbitt Grill to all my friends and family.
There are too many other places in DC to go! While Old Ebbitt is an oldie but goodie, they have really gone down in service. The place was packed and very uncomfortable close seating when holding a biz lunch. Nothing on our order came out correctly either...
Wonderful service. Great food
Food was wonderful. A little on the small portion size tho.
Always consistent. Great food and service. I like that they respect reservation times.
Wow! Burger, Reuben and Cheeseburger all delicious! Home made fries! Mmmm. Brownie Sundae! Yum. We went back for breakfast today. Excellent!
Been here for 3 days and it was our second time eating here. Loved it!!!
Our favorite place to eat in DC. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Always look forward to going back 😊
This is a reliably great restaurant with superb ambiance and excellent food, served by knowledgable and personable staff. It is always a little awkward in the front foyer, however, because you queue to indicate that you have a reservation and then they make you stand to the side until they call you to follow them to a table -- and there is almost always a crowd in that area because of all the tourists begging for a table. But the awkwardness is worth it once you reach your table and the dining experience can begin.
Staff was friendly and accommodating with my large party (10). Food was served quickly and was perfectly cooked.
Great place to bring a tourist or anyone else. Good food and service and very near the White House.
Perfect restaurant, nice price! Definition will come again!
Great place ! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the D.C.area
Our guest wanted a HOT Fudge Syrup on Vanilla ice Cream! Wasn’t Hot Fudge, was not good!
Fabulous food. Oysters, clams, soups salads. Wonderful atmosphere in a historic building. Service is excellent and location is easy to get to,via Metro if needed. Every time we’re in DC, this restaurant is on our to do list
I visited OEG twice for my first stay at DC. The food is of high quality. They never disappointed me, for the food and good service. We particularly enjoy the crab cake, pork rib and oysters. Sides are colorful and perfectly match the protein. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends if they come to DC.
Put it on your to do list. It’s a DC institution that’s not to be missed. Make sure to make reservations if you choose to go!
A MAZ ING
Jay was great, the food and drinks were exceptional, and everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful!
If you like tomato paste order the chili. Steak salad was meh and so was the chewy hangar steak. The bread was good but that’s it. We really didn’t understand the hype but then I remembered the person who suggested it as a must loves Luby’s.
Everyone, including the chef, conspired to make our dinner totally enjoyable.
Great character in building. Food was excellent and service was awesome.
Excellent food and service at this classic DC eatery. Only disappointment was the now very relaxed clothing standard.
Outstanding food and service! Definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
Great food and service! Staff was friendly and attentive - Highly recommend brunch w/ bloody marys to start!
Fantastic service and great food! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the first or 100th time!
My family and I went to celebrate my graduation dinner and Old Ebbitt Grill helped to make our weekend even more special! We were given champagne and a dessert on the house! Also, our food was delicious and everyone walked away full and happy.
Never fails to impress , both in quality of food and service.
So often we go to DC restaurants and have to shout to be heard across the table, not so at Old Ebbitt. Easy restaurant to have great food and great conversations. The service is attentive without being pushy and prompt. In addition we never feel rushed, in fact we are encouraged take our time over the meal. The food choices are varied enough that all of the visitors we’ve taken have been happy with the choices.
