This is a great spot to take someone who is visiting in town as the menu has a great variety of foods from american to italian to seafood options :)
Always good food and atmosphere. Great location and a real DC institution.
The food and service are amazing. It’s really loud, and the wine selection isn’t the best.
Great meal! Would recommend to anyone! Everyone was great. Their is a lot of history in this place.
Great place for a meal with colleagues. Enjoyed the food, great service, energetic ambiance.
Convenient location but limited choice for vegetarians and what I ordered was not well prepared
We were in DC for a quick weekend getaway. We stopped in at Old Ebbit Grill three times. Whether oysters and drinks at the bar, or dinner in the dining room, the service was great, the staff friendly, and the conversation plentiful. We will stop in the next time we are in DC.
Great food and amazing atmosphere. Could not ask for a more DC place to eat!
This place is more name, tradition and history than what it really represents.
This has been a favorite of mine for many years. The food is great, the atmosphere is inviting, and always fun. I have attended many outings here with friends from Congress and have never been disappointed with the quality of food and service. It’s a great way to spend an evening.
Service and food was good. Tables are very closely packed together unless you get a both and a great deal of noise from the bar.
Good for a more upscale casual dining experience or lunch not a romantic dinner.
Crab cakes were out of this world as was the hanger steak 😋
Great ambiance. Amazing food. Great service. A perfect place to get dinner in the heart of DC.
Lovely meal. Lovely service. Enjoyed it very much!!
Great food and service. A little noisy and crowded.
Our waiter Mike was super attentive and on top of all his tables. The food was amazing
My wife’s Trout Almandine was excellent. My clam chowder was very good, but the meatloaf was just okay (a little dry). Service was outstanding.
Food/Service is always great but be prepared for the tourists and regulars who flock to this DC go to hotspot. Great for late night fare too!
The entire experience was fabulous! A group of 4 friends had dinner after a play at Ford’s Theatre. Everyone ordered different selections and the wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert were delicious. Great fun and we were able to catch up and socialize. Will be back again for certain! S.H.
Great service, amazing food! Seating is a little tight along the wall but had a great time.
My friends and I went here for a brunch on a Saturday. The place seemed packed, so we were glad we reserved a table. It was our first time here and the food was amazing. Great service, great food, and the booths are just comfy and spacious enough for a good conversation. Would recommend to anyone.
My wife and I had a great time. This was my first time there. Our waiter and all staff were great. I plan to come back..
Great food and service. Would definitely go back.
Food was very good. We had their specialty pasta dish and crab cakes. Prices very reasonable especially for D.C. Great location in the district. Only negative is this is a popular place and somewhat touristy. Can be noisy and some tables are right next to your neighbor.
Fabulous ambience and very good food, reasonably priced. Would go back!
Lovely, great drinks, great food, and fabulous service!
Friday night, place was packed, awesome service, food and ambience!
Been loving this restaurant for many years and food/service keeps getting better.. Book ahead of time because it’s a very popular DC spot
Awesome dinner! Love the old school feel!!!! Server was great and knowledgeable of the menu.
Excellent service and nice place to eat in DC.
I went there on Thursday February 7, 2019 to celebrate my 33 years married anniversary, the food was great and the service amazing. Five stars.
Wonderful service and the food was excellent! Atmosphere was really cool.
Beautiful old structure. Service was top notch. Food was excellent, we had the scallops and fennel sausage pasta which was deliscious. Short walk from the JW Marriott , which we appreciated even more after our bellies were full on the walk back! A great way to put a bow on our trip and wrap it up.
Another good meal. Happy hour special is great.
From entry to exit, it was great. Our server turned out to have relatives from our home town and we enjoyed our brief but warm chats with her!
Lunch date - awesome seafood. Shrimp cocktail was perfect, fried oyster stew was great and my dining partner loved the scallops.
A “must” stop anytime in DC!
Server was terrific. Food as always was great. Pretty noisy place, but it helped to keep our conversation a little more private as the 2 spot tables are very small and very close to each other..
We come here every year when we come to DC and plan to do it again.
The food was outstanding and worth every penny. Service was great , thank you for a great experience!
Our food was excellent, especially the fried oyster appetizers we ordered that were a special request. We were celebrating two birthdays, so the restaurant provided an amazing chocolate lava cake dessert for each of us on a complimentary basis! It was very delicious and the perfect ending to a superb dinner. The service was quick, which was important to us that evening as we were going to a concert after dinner. Old Ebbitt Grill is one of my favorite places to eat in D.C. and this trip was one of the best ever!
