My wife and I had a great meal at Old Ebbitt Grill. The food was excellent and server, Gabi, provided excellent service. Definitely one of my favorite places.
Our service was super attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back again. Great value for the DC area.
What a wonderful historic place so close to the White House! This place has delicious food and great ambiance.
Very disappointing breakfast in the beautiful, historic restaurant. Mediocre good, uninspired menu, very slow service in an almost empty restaurant. No gourmet touches - packaged jelly, for. example. No better than a diner for 3x the price
Great atmosphere, amazing food, and server Gabri was awesome. Highly recommend this place.
Everything was great from the server to the food.
Really enjoyed the historic setting; the food and service was excellent. Only drawback was the high noise level.
We had lunch her on Sunday 14 July.
Note that the brunch menu is the main menu but we got there just as the happy hour for oysters kicked in.
It was really busy and people turning up without reservations were being told anything from 30-90 minutes wait dependant in table size.
We had a very comfortable booth and the girl who served us (apologies, never got her name) was absolutely brilliant. Polite, friendly and informative. Couldn’t fault her at all, real credit to the business.
Food was excelllent, oysters wonderful, steak salad excellent wine list very extensive and not crazy money either.
100% recommended if in DC and you must book!
Great food and great service. Definitely reserve a table.
Brunch was delicious and service very attentive. Good children’s menu. We go here every time we are in DC, and will be back next visit, too!
We went for brunch. About as expected. Food was pretty good. Chicken and waffles very good. Granola/fruit/yogurt not more than Kellogg’s. But we chose the restaurant for the setting not the food. So no real complaints. Would be a great happy hour I imagine.
Always friendly service and accommodating hosts. A great place to cool down after being outside.
A must visit DC haunt. Oysters are local to the East Coast and very fresh! Beer is cold.
This is not the same since acquired by Clyde’s. Couldn’t believe the oysters were not from Maryland.
While I recommend Old Ebbitt Grill for the experience, the food was fine not outstanding. Go for the ambiance and history and chance to see interesting people in government and politics.
Great food as usual. Clam chowder is excellent. Service was exceptional.
My wife and I decided to try this spot out since we’ve been in the area for months. Additionally, we have been to Clyde’s a bunch and heard about their affiliation. We had Trey as a server and he was spot-on.
The blackened shrimp and grits was a hit with me, and my wife loved the brioche French toast. The fried calamari starter was well seasoned and prepared.
I enjoyed the fried oyster soup, but would have preferred a bit more heat or spice.
We will be back in the near future with family.
Great dinner. Our waiter was The Bomb.
Our waiter was excellent with thoughtful “comps” for our sons 21st birthday. We all felt special! He was friendly and joyful. The staff is always helpful and grateful for our visit. We feel it.
Had a great meal. Restaurant was a bit loud. Our waitress was hysterical - Jessica. Great help
To choose menu items.
The food and service was great. I have no complaints. The only reason I chose to rate the overall as 4 instead of a 5 is it is quite pricey.
The waiter was so nice and helpful We had a great time! Thank you
A splendid place to have lunch. Service is always superb.
Great location. Try the Irish Old fashion and shrimp & grits! Oysters half off before 6pm.
👍 was great..............>..................................Thanks >..>..................
Very good restaurant. Our server was Jenny and she was wonderful. Great service and great recommendations. I had the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and the oysters were great.
Great experience with fantastic service!
Great waiter; happy hour prices!
Enjoyed lunch. Will definitely order the trout again.
Very solid for late at night
Great food and great service, but it was a bit louder than I had expected it to be.
I really love this place! The food and service were amazing! My husband and I loved this for our anniversary! Plus, Wojciech was so wonderful to us!
Incredible SERVICE . Quality of food in general its good.
Nice restaurant, accommodating. I will definitely come again when back
We were lucky enough to be able to get a last minute reservation at Old Ebbitt Grill after walking more than 13 miles around DC. This is just the kind of place I was hoping to find during our vacation. It’s has a ton of history, perfect ambiance, impeccable service, and outstanding food! I can guarantee that my family, myself included, will insist on a trip to Old Ebbitt Grill on any further trips to DC.
Food was delicious and our server was both friendly and extremely attentive. Price was fair and location is close to all monuments. Great time
1st time dining here and everything was outstanding! Most definitely a must go to place if ever in the DC area!
Very cool place to eat if your in the DC area. Good value and the Oyster happy hour shouldn't be missed
Food was great, but menu is not special. I expect various seafood for lunch , but very few to choose.
