My husband and I enjoyed the Orca raw bar platter, and it was delicious!! We shared a crab cake as an appetizer, and it was easily the best crab cake we have ever eaten. Our waitress was outstanding and brought out my husband’s dessert with a birthday candle on top. We were very glad to have made a reservation with OpenTable, since the restaurant had a long wait for those who did not make a reservation.

My husband chose the trout for his entree. I had the double crab cake entree, they were quite large, I could have just had one crab cake. For a starter, my husband had 1/2 dozen oysters (which I don't care for), I saw other starters that would have been perfect for me, but they were all meant to be shared. I do wish that this restaurant would offer more starters that are a smaller portion. Nice wine list at affordable prices

While we didn’t dine in the iconic part of the restaurant, we enjoyed the light atmosphere and it seems less noisy of the section where we sat. The service and food was exactly as expected, superb.

What a fantastic restaurant, the atmosphere was amazing. The food is second to none. Our server Savio was awesome, great recommendations and our Manhattans were spot on. Every time we come to DC this is a Must for dining. You can’t go wrong here.

I booked Old Ebbits Grill far in advance for the first night of our family vacation. We chose this restaurant for the history (my son is a history major) as well as the menu. We were very satisfied with the food, particularly the raw bar selections. However, we were disappointed that we were seated in an area attached to a mall, which detracted from the experience.

Used to love this place and was excited to visit again. We had prime rib and pastrami sandwiches and strawberry shortcake for dessert. All of it was underwhelming. So much so that we didnt devour our food like we usually do when it’s incredibly good. After a few bites we knew coming here was a bad mistake. Not sure what the hype is all about bc it certainly is not the food. We’ll never come back here bc of that. So many more delicious restaurants in the city to waste a food experience here.

Long day of tourist activities meant we grabbed late lunch/early dinner here. Service was impeccable- attentive, knowledgeable and personable. DC food prices are what they are but this bill seemed inexpensive or right value for the quality of food & service. In particular, their crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had and I come from an area with fresh crab myself. It’s also nice they offer several nonalcoholic cocktails on their expansive drink menu.
