        We were not even seated in the historic part of the restaurant. We were in the atrium of an office building. WTF???

        Our reservation made over a month in advance said we needed ADA accommodations and I call the restaurant about it - there ADA restroom was not accessible and they did not make us aware till my mother was seated - very far away from the front. Also the receptionist were very cold / short and Just un-welcoming we literally lost her as we were helping my mother with the walker because she was in such a hurry. Our server Dallas was fantastic though.

        This was quite possibly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in D.C! My family went for a birthday celebration - I had the best oysters and the best crab cakes there. The crab and artichoke dip was PHENOMENAL and my family couldn’t stop eating it.

        Our Saturday Brunch was excellent. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our individual selections. I selected the steak salad with buttermilk blue cheese goddess dressing and I’ve already used Chat GPT to find a copy cat recipe. It was a very special meal in a historic venue.

        We enjoyed our annual summer holiday visit to Old Ebbitt grill, and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent, service generously friendly, and our reservation was honored with a slightly early arrival, which was very much appreciated. We had a breakfast visit, the menu has been unchanged for years, it is well thought out, and appropriate substitutions are welcomed. The only concern is that the usually hugely generous French toast breakfast seemed significantly smaller, much less fluffy bread; still good, but in the past it was a meal for two if you wanted, now it was a moderate portion. I tried the crab cake breakfast for the first time, it was outstanding, my new go-to meal.
