Great value. Drinks, appetizer, two entrees and a dessert = $135. Food was fantastic. Service was top notch. It is a dressier atmosphere, but we felt comfortable in jeans and tees. The place was packed. Make a reservation.

Service was great but the food was mediocre. We had the walrus platter of oysters, clams, and shrimp to start. I expected more based on the reviews. For the main dishes I had the mussels and my husband had the crab cake and soft shell crab special. The best items we had were the mussels and the fries. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was delicious.

Had 12 people afternoon an event in DC. We didn’t know when the event would end and the restaurant were very flexible with us when we moved up our redaction by an hour and went from 8 people to 12. Everyone I spoke with was accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Everyone was great and friendly. We showed up early for our reservation. And that sat us ahead of our scheduled time. Had drinks at the main bar before a late lunch and then after dinner drinks in Grant’s bar in the back. Recommend Grant’s bar over the main bar. It is a little more removed from the masses and the bar tenders are talkative and fun.

A great spot with loads of history. Grt there a little earlier and have a drink at the main bar. We had steak frites and crab cake both delicious and a great combo for sharing. Given the quality i thought the price was very reasonable. Well worth the visit!!

A very busy night at the OEG, but the staff and service were fantastic. The server was knowledgeable, explained the menu with great detail. He was attentive and responsive, good humoured although obviously very busy, and the food came surprisingly quickly. Great job all round.

We were seated at a great table immediately, even though we arrived a bit early. Our server, Eric, really took care of us for our anniversary lunch. Only downside is the stairs to the restroom, as my husband uses a cane. We will return on our next trip to the District.

The drinks were cold and on point. The appetizers where delicious. If I could have bottled the juice the mussels were steamed in that would have made it perfect. Dinner was amazing and the creme brulee finished off the night.

Freshest oysters in town. Great selection of other seafood. The softshell crab was delicious. Best service you could ask for. Tremendous selection of of beers and wines. A favorite of locals and visitors. It's been there for 150+ years for good reasons. You don't need a reservation, but make one anyway for extra special location and attention. Tip accordingly.

This place is an institution. The food is excellent, fresh, and the menu is quite diverse. If you love seafood this is the place to go! We really enjoyed everything about our experience here. The service was amazing.
