Food was great, waiter Mo was extra nice to us and chef remembered that we come every January and what we like. A wonderful lunch!
Reservation honored on time. Old Ebbit Grill doesn’t disappoint
Crab cakes were devine as usual! Great food and service coupled with great friends! What can top that?!
My wife and I had just driven 10 hours to get to Washington DC. I have been to Old Ebbitt before, but my with had not. Our dining experience was just what we needed to relax. The filet mignon melts in your mouth and the salmon with sautéed spinach was to die for! Delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and walking distance from our hotel.
Great food. Great service
We enjoyed a business lunch at Old Ebbitt today. Chris, the manager, was most helpful in getting us a reasonably quiet table on a very busy holiday where the restaurant was quite busy. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. The food was terrific as usual and well priced. Always a pleasure to visit the Ebbitt!
Perfect as always. Always love the service and the food. The raw Oysters are incomparable to anywhere else in DC.
My mother and I had an incredible restaurant experience! Service was above and beyond. I wish I remember his name but he was 110%! Oyster were delicious and I love ambiance.
Restaurant week brunch menu was nice!
We came to celebrate a birthday. Although we mentioned that fact to our server several times, when she brought the dessert there was no candle. It was our only disappointment. The drinks and food were great! Three of us ordered Classic Eggs Benedict and I ordered Benedict Florentine. Outstanding! Our server was very pleasant. The noise level allowed us to speak to each other without shouting. Would definitely return and recommend it to friends.
Wonderful, as always!
Good food, very crowded and loud restaurant for a Sunday at 11 am.
Fantastic place. Staff is always attentive and pleasant love it every time we go. Brunch this time. Eggs were farm fresh. Shrimp and grits flavorful and creamy. Look forward to our next visit.
Good brunch menu with a variety of selections. Historic location- if the walls could talk
Old Ebbitt is one of the classic DC restaurants. Never disappoints!
We went to Brunch for Winter 2020 Restaurant Week. It was everything that everyone says about and so much more. The service was great and so was the food. Restaurant Week allows you to go to places you wouldn't normally go to so we always try and take advantage of that. Our goal is always to find places that we'd like to return to again. This is one of those places. It was my wife's favorite stop ( we went to 6 new places) this year.
Two visits in two days with Mauricio as our server. Outstanding! Mauricio made excellent suggestions — the servers KNOW their offerings and they guide you where you want to be with your choices! I never visit DC without having lunch or dinner there! Thank again for the memorable dining experiences Mauricio!
Was very good
Also love stopping in to eat at Old Ebbitt Grill. A classic.
Husbands birthday! Celebrated with friends. Traveled about 130 miles just for a meal here!!
Old Ebbitt Grill is always our top gathering spot when we are in DC.... Amazing location, decent prices, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere, highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Rainy day in DC. Open Table to rescue as said 1 45 wait and found table in 15 minutes. So lucky and the best you food service and ambiance in DC. Always special here A I con worth what ever wait
Good food and service. It was busy because there was march that day, but even though the lobby and bar were busy, it was nice and calm in the dining area.
I had always heard good things about this restaurant and decided to use Restaurant Week as my ticket in! Delicious food and I will need to go back so I can try some other food choices.
Our waitress was so kind and so friendly. She was ready to connect with us and give us suggestions when we didn’t know what dish to choose. Loved our experience.
Too expensive with small portions and felt very rushed which killed the mood for the occasion
It was great!
I went during Restaurant Week. The food was very good and the menu offered during this special week was excellent. They offered some of their best dishes and I tried a different dish. Very Yummy!
We arrived after a visit to an exhibit at the Women's Museum. Although the restaurant was full and bustling, our booked table was ready for us as scheduled. Service was delightful and prompt. It was Restaurant Week which we had not anticipated. The 3 course Restaurant Week specials were phenomenal and the portions were very generous. This is a classic DC establishment with food and service the adheres to its history.
What a great lunch experience for restaurant week.
Old Ebbitt does seafood very well. I started with a cup of their New England Clam Chowder which was delicious. I then at the suggestion of my server tried the mussels. These were very large and arrived in an abundant quantity, along with a just right portion of piping hot fries. Afterwards I had the creme bulee very dessert and it was very good: light yet filling.
Old Ebbitt is a Washington institution and they definitely know what they are doing in the kitchen.
Wonderful meal! We visit every time we are in DC. One of our favorites.
Great environment. Great food. Great Service. Will be back next time when visiting DC.
Service & food were excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly
A true Washington gem. A must dine experience
The hostess was not friendly, the food was average, and the ambiance was also average. There are many more charming restaurants in DC for the price point.
Everything was amazing. It’s worth going early for happy hour on the oysters.
Great place one of the best in dc
Wonderful experience and a true historic restaurant with real people who honor their employees as family . Will return as soon as possible.
Went here twice during my visit to DC. Great ambiance with great classic menu.
