The food and service are amazing. It’s really loud, and the wine selection isn’t the best.

We were in DC for a quick weekend getaway. We stopped in at Old Ebbit Grill three times. Whether oysters and drinks at the bar, or dinner in the dining room, the service was great, the staff friendly, and the conversation plentiful. We will stop in the next time we are in DC.

This has been a favorite of mine for many years. The food is great, the atmosphere is inviting, and always fun. I have attended many outings here with friends from Congress and have never been disappointed with the quality of food and service. It’s a great way to spend an evening.

Service and food was good. Tables are very closely packed together unless you get a both and a great deal of noise from the bar.
Good for a more upscale casual dining experience or lunch not a romantic dinner.

My wife’s Trout Almandine was excellent. My clam chowder was very good, but the meatloaf was just okay (a little dry). Service was outstanding.

The entire experience was fabulous! A group of 4 friends had dinner after a play at Ford’s Theatre. Everyone ordered different selections and the wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert were delicious. Great fun and we were able to catch up and socialize. Will be back again for certain! S.H.

My friends and I went here for a brunch on a Saturday. The place seemed packed, so we were glad we reserved a table. It was our first time here and the food was amazing. Great service, great food, and the booths are just comfy and spacious enough for a good conversation. Would recommend to anyone.

Food was very good. We had their specialty pasta dish and crab cakes. Prices very reasonable especially for D.C. Great location in the district. Only negative is this is a popular place and somewhat touristy. Can be noisy and some tables are right next to your neighbor.

Beautiful old structure. Service was top notch. Food was excellent, we had the scallops and fennel sausage pasta which was deliscious. Short walk from the JW Marriott , which we appreciated even more after our bellies were full on the walk back! A great way to put a bow on our trip and wrap it up.

Server was terrific. Food as always was great. Pretty noisy place, but it helped to keep our conversation a little more private as the 2 spot tables are very small and very close to each other..

We come here every year when we come to DC and plan to do it again.

Our food was excellent, especially the fried oyster appetizers we ordered that were a special request. We were celebrating two birthdays, so the restaurant provided an amazing chocolate lava cake dessert for each of us on a complimentary basis! It was very delicious and the perfect ending to a superb dinner. The service was quick, which was important to us that evening as we were going to a concert after dinner. Old Ebbitt Grill is one of my favorite places to eat in D.C. and this trip was one of the best ever!
