The food was ok, but I barely saw my server. Didn't get a chance to request ketchup until 20 minutes after my food was delivered to the table. Restaurant was very warm inside.

Cameron, our wait staff, took expert care of our table with hospitable and gracious professionalism. Food was excellent. The crab cakes are simply divine. Dessert was tremendous!

Back in DC for a visit. Went to one of favorite restaurant. Wonderful in every way The Crab Cake was heavenly. The Bloody Mary was delicious and the Oyster Rockefeller was great. We loved everything. The service , provided by Nick was great. Can't wait to go back.

Food was terrible for the most part and service was very poor. Our waitress was gone for so long at times that we had to go looking for her. Trout had lots of bones and crab cake was just wrong. Filet was not great. The starters, salads and desserts were pretty good however. It used to be better. We will not be returning to this place.

We we’re seated in the atrium which didn’t have the same historical feel. Was disappointed because I didn’t even know they had that seating. Had I known I would have requested inside.

My wife and I went for oyster happy hour. We enjoyed a dozen oysters, bloody Maryland, and split the Trout dinner. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. It lived up to our expectations and we had a fantastic evening.

Old Ebbits Grill is a part of DC history. With some of the animals possibly being caught by Theodore Roosevelt - there are amazing interiors and also food. You should get the seafood - try the crabcakes and oysters. Also fun cocktails and great service - there is a lot to enjoy :)

We requested and received our favorite dining spot. Our waiter understood the leisurely pace we wanted; he was very helpful with suggestions and left us to enjoy each course. Food was perfect with the crab cake standing out as one of the best I’ve had in years.

Not worth the effort. Booked this 2 weeks in advance and had limited dining options available. Went for the ambiance. Turned out we ended up outside the restaurant in an open mall type area which was quiet and closed (basically not in the restaurant at all). So we basically weren’t in the restaurant and were in a separate section indoors but outside the restaurant. Then we thought at least the food must be good. It wasn’t. Nothing was too exciting and the steaks were cooked completely wrong compared to what we asked for. Food was not good.

we were seated out in the atrium of the office building instead of the main restaurant and bar so the atmosphere was a little disappointing. have not been to old ebbitt in many years and was really looking forward to it; service and food were excellent but ambiance was not quite the old ebbitt experience i remembered
