    We did a private nighttime tour of memorials for hubby’s 65th birthday - capped off the tour with a 9:00 pm reservation @old ebbitt grill - everything was fantastic! Food & service was worth every penny! So happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate - both the concierge & waitress wished my husband a happy birthday!

    Went for a special birthday dinner, bar busy and great atmosphere nice cocktail at bar. Seated on time helpful server made good recommendations. Loved the atmosphere in the room. All the food was excellent including a highlight of the tinned anchovies for me, a first for me. Price really excellent for such an iconic spot.

    This iconic restaurant is my favorite place in D.C. Always coming back whether I am in town for business or pleasure. This is the best place to enjoy fresh oysters. I highly recommend!

    We were glad to have reservations as it is a very busy place. Over an hour wait without. My salmon was terrific, my husband’s ribeye was undercooked but tasted great. The wine & deserts were also delicious. We would definitely recommend this restaurant

    Fantastic Old Washington, DC establishment. Tried and true menu items which delight everyone. Being from a landlocked state, I started with clam chowder, progressed to a half dozen oysters, and finished with a very (!) crab-laden crab cake. All of it was delicious. I’d go every night if I could. Our waiter, Kurtis with a K, was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

    Our server was Daisy, and she was fantastic. the apps were good but the chicken pasta was much spicer than the menu indicated. all else was fantastic.

    Our table request was honored which was something we really appreciated. The food was outstanding (Oyster Rockefeller!) and the service was way above average. Love this place.

    Food and service were great as usual but my nose was running. Maybe you need to change the HVAC filter because the air quality did not seem good. Also it’s an old building so maybe it needs some repair with the air system and the quality therein.

    Not too pleased with the restaurant's requirement that an entire party be present to be seated. I was told by one host that I had to wait and then another one later said that it was me who wanted to wait - which wasn't the case. Our server was good otherwise - I'm not sure we would return to the restaurant again.

    Reuben sandwich was excellent. Hamburger, so so. Not a place to have a relaxed meal. The waitress was keen to get us out of there.

    This was everything I expected.: Marvelous food, superior service, and comfortable if noisy environment. My wife had the Filet Mignon and I had oysters and crab. We shared a bottle of proper French champagne and a salted caramel bread pudding for dessert. A great meal for our anniversary.

    We spent a lovely 15th wedding anniversary at Old Ebbitt Griile. Our server Lauren was impeccable and attentive. She checked in regularly but not so much that it was intrusive. Our food was amazing. This is not necessarily a romantic place but an eclectic, busy old world restaurant. Just right for us!
